Oh man this is a treat not just for VRT or PR fans but for everyone who loves 90's comics! This is a good refresher book for the upcoming reboot of VR Troopers not just a nostalgic trip. Of course you'll get 90's action, storylines and artwork. The VR Troppers stories are the best in this book. That alone is enough for you to pick up this book. And of course, the legendary Steve Ditko is here doing some artworks.
As for the Power Rangers part, I dig the Ninja Ranger era featured here. Story wise, almost all are cheeseballs and nothing stand out to me. I feel as i get to the end, the publisher keeps on putting filler pages. The cover gallery has nothing special to offer too. Nevertheless, I still give this a 5 star.

Honestly I cared less about VR Troopers, I requested this book on NetGalley because of the Ninja Rangers. I missed Ninja Rangers so much. Back when I was little, Ninja Rangers were so refreshing. There were Power Rangers but also Ninjas. For little me, they were so freaking cool and that was why I read (and watched too, I think) Ninja Rangers so much. Now in my adulthood, I craved the memories of childhood and reading this book was easing that feelings.

Though I said I cared less about VR Troopers, I still read their portions of story. It was good with dry humors I seemed to notice were typical of VR Troopers.
Ninja Rangers parts of story was also good. I wish there were more of their story. I bet I need to read their comics soon.

Thank you to Fabian Nicieza, BOOM! Studios, and NetGalley for the ARC.

I'm not at all sure why Boom decided to reprint this tripe of all things. The VR Trooper stories are some of the worst things I've ever read. Their are villains like Smorgaslord. You're going to name a bad guy after a buffet? Real threatening. The plots don't make any kind of sense. There's dialogue that actually says "too leaderful". Were these in Japanese first and then poorly translated? I can't believe Steve Ditko drew some of these. He must have been really hard up for work. The Power Ranger stories are better but not enough to make this worth reading.

With these facsimile reprints there is often a high nostalgia factor in reading classics from another era and while it was interesting to actually read these issues, I certainly can’t call them classics. An amusing time capsule maybe, but they just aren’t very good. I think maybe they’re important to read if you are a diehard VR Troopers or Power Ranger fan, just to see, but in the end I’ve enjoyed the newer material so much more.

Special Thanks to BOOM! Studios and Netgalley for the digital ARC. This was given to me for an honest review.

ARC Copy...Oh yes that was a nostalgia trip and not sure if it is a reprinting of comics from the 90s or new comic done in the vintage style but liked it regardless....shopping mall monsters yep that 90s! Man it has been a while since I have seen VR troopers in general although i liked the comic's stories better in some ways as recalled Tv show as often the girl or/and the afro VR trooper in danger more then Ryan. Not in comic-verse so far.

I was feeling nostalgic so I gave this a spin. I don’t necessarily regret it, but it just didn’t do it for me. It’s cool to see the 90’s artwork again, but the story content was lacking for me. It was just a bunch of quick filler types stories. If these were show episodes from back in the day, I would be skipping them on a rewatch session. Personally feel this would be cool to flip through at the store, then put right back on the shelf.

I was SO excited when I found out about the VR Troopers/Power Rangers Flipbook Collection. Talk about a major nostalgia hit. The characters and artwork instantly took me straight back to the ’90s!

This collection includes five stories from each team, so there’s plenty of action and adventure packed in. It’s such a fun throwback and a great way to revisit these classics all over again!
