These stories are so sweet, even though they are basically “little loses a favorite something, a Daddy finds it, little and Daddy connect and live happily ever after”, each is so unique, I get drawn into the story, waiting for what comes next.
In this book, Ocean (what an unusual name, I wish we had learned how he got it), has been without a Daddy for three years. He wants one again, but is a bit leery after his last one, and he’s also so busy with his work life as a CEO, he’s not sure if one would fit in his life again. Until the night the fire alarm goes off, he loses his octopus stuffy named Tennie, and finds that a neighbor has found it and is happy to give it back. There is an attraction between them, they meet accidentally again one night at Chained and Donovan (the neighbor/Daddy) asks Ocean on a date. Things progress from there as they get to know each other to see if they are compatible as “big”, then move on to see how they work as Daddy/little. Unsurprisingly, they work out as both little and big, and are soon on their way to their HEA. No real surprises, but the fun is in the details, as always.
For a low angst, light-hearted, short, sweet tale that is a delight to read, this book and series can’t be beat. If you have a quiet hour or two, sit back, put your feet up, and get lost in Ocean’s world as he finds his forever Daddy.
