I absolutely loved this. Very similar to the rest of the series, and equally great. I didn’t expect this to fill the gap between previous novels, but it was much appreciated.

This novella just took spicy content and heartwarming care & communication in equal volumes and wove them together perfectly. This novella, like the rest of the series, is basically a primer on the proper way to do BDSM; communication, care, consent!

Excellent novella. Definitelly read the prior entries or else you will be LOST.

Honestly, be still my beating heart! Ruby Scott literally just threw kink & Christmas into a blender and out popped a gloriously delicious festive read! 🙌🏼

On the face of it, this book walks us through the early days of Alison and Olivia getting together and to say it’s scorching hot, is a HUGE understatement!

But look beyond the spice and this book is truly about the safe exploration of vulnerability, trust, boundaries and love. There are some beautifully gentle moments between scenes and the ways that this book handles consent and aftercare are both incredibly tender and precious.

Surrender to Desire really is the perfect book for anyone beginning to explore their own desires. It’s tender, beautiful, and written so damn perfectly… Ruby Scott just keeps getting better and better! The depth it takes to write a book like this and precisely place each and every emotion along the way, is truly a very real talent. And one that I’m incredibly grateful for as a reader.

While I’m sad this book has finished, I’ll reread it again alongside the whole series. I’m excited to read it inbetween Mistress of Desire and Commitment to Desire next time round. I also plan on following up Desire’s Truth with The Turning. I figure that’s got to be the ultimate AoD reading experience, right?

And lastly, a nod to my wife, because yes, I finally understand, approve, and AGREE with the Olivia obsession now… 😉

This book tells the story of Alison and Olivia, picking up after Mistress of Desire, book 3 of An Awakening of Desire series. It tells of their relationship after Olivia divorces her husband and tanks her career as a therapist to be with her client Alison. It also takes us on their journey of exploring the dynamics of dominance and submission, the love they have for each other and chosen family.

Victoria and Abby are on hand to help Olivia and Alison navigate their way through it all.

I’m glad Ruby continued their story…it was begging to be told! It’s a great addition to the series!

Awakening of Desire series has been my favourite all time sapphic series! It’s jam packed with heat and characters that you instantly fall in love with! Surrender to Desire is the perfect addition! ♥️

Olivia quickly made her way into my heart during Mistress of Desire and I was absolutely devastated when we didn’t get Alison and Olivia’s first time?! But now, I am beyond grateful that the scene wasn’t written within Mistress because absolutely nothing could be more perfect than this incredible Christmas novella! 😍

Surrender to Desire delivered on every single level! The spice, the love, the journey we get to be a part of… Seeing these two women discover new sides to themselves and explore their desires safely, had me falling even deeper! 🥰

I'm always amazed at how you can find bits of yourself reflected in all of Ruby's books, and this story is no exception. I had seen myself in Olivia in Mistress of Desire and then even more in Surrender to Desire.

The exhilaration of freedom, the terror of the unknown, the fear that you've made a terrible mistake, and the lingering whispers of doubt and guilt, all mirrored my own experiences of walking away from a career that defined so much of my life. But like Olivia discovers, those experiences never leave you, they're part of what made you who you are today and will always be a part of you.

What can I say, I dread the day this author writes something I don’t enjoy this much.
I love, love, loved it! It’s honest and gritty and hot and sexy and everything I’ve come to expect from Ruby Scott’s books.
It was beautiful watching Olivia come into her own person alongside Alison. Both butterflies emerging from their chrysalis together in beautiful harmony. Putting that level of trust in one another, to respect, love and protect each other as they navigated through this journey.

It felt like an incredibly sweet, hot and eternity-long night full of intimacy and mutual exploration.
That's exactly what I imagined when I was longing to read Olivia and Alison's story between the lines!
It’s so beautifully written!
Their longing was finally fulfilled, their devotion to the right person was discovered and savored.
So much emotion and heat. Fantastic.
To see them slowly but surely discovering their dynamic in their Dom/sub relationship and how much they still have to discover for themselves.
Olivia is completely new to this whole thing, and Alison is new to this side of the dominance/submissive world.
But it's about trust and love, and they've chosen a beautiful path in that.

I am very lucky to be ARC reader to read this amazing sapphic romance for free and I totally enjoyed it! It is super steamy and very emotional, love the hot sex scenes as well as those tender, caring moments. Olivia was going through mid life crisis, recently divorced, gave up her psychology job and madly falling for the beautiful and confident business owner Alison. It is a coming out late, friends to lovers sapphic romance, with a very sweet happy ending. I am also delighted to see the legendary Victoria and her young wife Abby welcome this new couple with open arms, the four of them become a loving family.
