He was her first love... and her best friend’s brother who left without a word. Now he’s back in Copper Creek asking for a second chance.
Camilla Palmer is sunshine in boots. She’s steady, kind, and just fine on her own. She pours her heart into training pups for the ranch and keeps romance at arm’s length. After all, the only man she ever loved disappeared without a goodbye, and she’s not interested in repeating that lesson.
Dallas Thorton spent years chasing fieldwork and telling himself it was for the best. He never stopped loving Camilla, and the letter that should’ve explained everything never reached her. He’s back in Copper Creek and ready to stay—if he can convince the woman he left behind that this time he means it.
When old sparks reignite, one truth threatens another assignment could take Dallas away again. Camilla refuses to be left this time—so she ends it first. But Dallas refuses to let history repeat, and plans on doing whatever it takes to fight for the only future that ever felt right.
Don’t miss this small-town, second-chance love story in Camilla & Dallas, Palmers of Copper Creek Book Four.
Wow this book was fantastic and I really enjoyed getting to meet Camilla and Dallas. They have such a special love story to share with all of us. I highly recommend this book "Camilla & Dallas" to all of you. I just know you are going to love reading it as much as I did. Let us know what you think after you have read their story.
Camilla Palmer and Dallas Thorton have such a sweet love story and I am so glad that Natalie Dean shared the story with us. I have yet to read anything bad by Natalie and this book is no exception. I love a nice clean love story and this one is special to me as it just seems to hit home. Camilla and Dallas have dated for a long while and he is at the stage of wanting to marry her. He even went to her older brother Mateo and asked for her hand in marriage and Mateo approved of the union. But then Dallas has a twin sister Cheyenne, that told him he needs to make something of himself before he gets married. He can not just go to Camilla and have nothing to offer her. So he goes and gets a job and loves it. He did not want to see her before he left being afraid he would not be able to leave her, so he wrote her a letter explaining everything and Cheyenne has promised to deliver the letter. Cheyenne has some problems of her own with sharing and she never gives Camilla the letter. So Camilla thinks he just left her and she is crushed, her heart is broken. Will she ever trust again? Seven years later Dallas returns to the area helping her family track some pigs that are destroying property and he is getting information on if they need to be destroyed or moved to another area. Will he ever get a chance to explain every thing to Camilla or is she done with him? Will he ever regain her trust and make this work?
I so enjoyed reading Camilla and Dallas love journey. It is fraught with tension, despair, and love at first sight. It has a profound impact that young love can be confusing especially when others meddle into the relationship. This relationship took a seven year hit because of mistakes and misunderstanding. A meddling twin sister had a huge impact as well. The story is very emotionally charged. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The author did a great job with the story line and all the characters. I have been a huge fan of Natalie Dean since the first book I read of hers. I especially love all the characters she has written about from Copper Creek. She makes it feel like such a special place. It is built with people who have scars, faults ,hope and family sticking together . The Palmer family is close knitted filled with love and support for each other. This book shows how they support each other in so many ways. Mateo the leader, Roman and Cameron the protectors who offered to run interference Sofia the big sister who gives sage advice , Isabelle the younger and insightful sister who is definitely on team Dallas and Marcus the instigator with the group date saga. I enjoyed the family dynamics in this book. It added to dimension on the storyline. I can’t say enough good things about this story it will hook you in until the very end. Plus it will leave you wanting more of the Palmer siblings stories yet to be told.
I received this book free from the author / book funnel for an honest review.
Camilla & Dallas is a second chance love story. When Camilla and her new friend Cheyenne go to the country club to dance and meet guys, Camilla literally runs into a handsome guy named Dallas. After dancing he tells Camilla that he can see them together forever. When Cheyenne sees them together she gets upset. Dallas is her twin brother! Seems that Cheyenne has a problem sharing her friends with other people. When Dallas and Camilla continue dating for three months, Dallas is ready to ask her to marry him. He is reminded that her ring has drained most of his savings and he still has two years remaining in his schooling. So Cheyenne tells him that he needs to leave and get a job and start working and finish his schooling and save up money for them to get married. That way Camilla will be proud of him when he comes home. However, when Dallas takes her advice and he leaves Cheyenne a letter to give Camilla explaining what he is leaving to do for them, Cheyenne does not give it to Camilla. And in his letter he tells Camilla to call, email, or write him when she is ready to talk to him.
Fast forward seven years and Dallas uses a cabin on the property of Camilla’s family to track the wolf sightings attacks in the area. He also tries to talk with Camilla as he still loves her and believes they are soulmates. But what she hears from Dallas goes against everything that Cheyenne has told her over these seven years. Will Dallas ever prove to Camilla that she can trust him again or has he lost her forever?
Camilla & Dallas is a well written, Christian, second chance romance. Ms. Dean's characters are very relatable. They have their flaws as well as many virtues., Most of the trouble in this book is caused by a jealous sibling. Can easily be read without reading prior books but I have read them all and enjoy seeing old friends from previous books. Camilla works with the dogs they raise doing their first trainings. Dallas has come to track the wolf sightings in the area. Since he appears to have ghosted Camilla for the last seven years, she is not happy having him back on their property. These two have both grown over the seven years and it is very interesting to watch Dallas try to fix what is broken. I love Copper Creek and all its inhabitants!
This is the fourth installment in the Palmers of Copper Creek series. As with the first three, Ms. Dean has written a very engaging and entertaining story. I love how her characters, despite being fictional, seem so believable and real - they have problems and find solutions that one might encounter in real life. Camilla and Dallas met and fell in love in a whirlwind romance but outside influences have kept them apart for years. Can they overcome those obstacles and find each other and happiness together once again? Pick up a copy today- you won't be sorry! Although this is fourth in a series, it could be read as a standalone book.
Camila and Harris by Natalie Dean is the fourth book in the Palmers of Copper Creek series. It is a well-written clean romance based on Christian principles. The characters are true to life and you get to know them well, and you also meet old friends from Natalie's previous books. A beautiful book to read.
Such a wonderful addition to the Palmers of Copper Creek series! Dallas broke Camilla’s heart when he left seven years earlier without a word. He has returned to Copper Creek and will be living on her family’s ranch while he works. How will Camilla be able to protect her heart from falling for him again? I recommend you read the book.
dallas has come back to town and wants camillia to forgive him , but it turns out someone close to them has lied. this is a good story , love, forgiveness and starting over. i was given a copy of the book but this is an honest review.
This is a great second chance story. Two lives separated by deception. When the truth comes out it can be hard. It’s filled with family values, relationships that are not always the best, forgiveness and love. Absolutely have enjoyed reading this series.
Loved Camilla and Dallas story and the love of their families. Good clean living makes it more enjoyable these days. Can't wait to read the next sequel with Jason and Isabelle, Camilla's sister.
A second chance is a lot of trouble…but so worth it. There’s lots to work through…but so worth it. Reading this book will take a few hours...but SO worth it!
Dallas broke Camilla's heart when he left without a word 7 years ago. Now he is back working while living on her family's ranch. Will Camilla be able to keep her heart from falling for him again?
