I saw this in Blackwell's while I was in Oxford and HAD to buy it. It's just absolutely adorable and I love the disaster father that is Geralt of Rivia. Just super cute both in art style and story, 10/10, this is canon in my books

========Krótki opis znajdujący się z tyłu komiksu

"Świat zna go jako wiedźmina, słynnego Białego Wilka.
================================

Mamy tutaj do czynienia z wieloma krótkimi historiami związanymi z wychowywaniem małej Ciri.
==================================
Geraltowi towarzyszy tam zaniepokojenie o bezpieczeństwo Ciri, zwykłe ludzkie zmęczenie, zabawy z małą wiedźminką i miłość do niej.
===================================
Mamy tu do czynienia z łagodnymi i przekolorowanymi wydaniami znanych nam postaci.

================================

Very cute collection of short stories. Obviously simplified for kids but still a very fun read as an adult Witcher fan. It's nice to see these characters having a nice time without terror and death together haha

I’m a big fan of Witcher games & books, so I pretty much pick up every release.

I’ll admit when I first saw this, I wasn’t sure how Witcherverse would work for younger readers, but ohh my, I totally underestimated this lovely book!

The illustrations are fantastic, with a good mix of beloved characters, witcher lore & humor. It shows how much Geralt loves, protects & cares for the ever-mischievous little Ciri. This book reminded me of the start of Witcher 3 when they trained Ciri at Kaer Morhen.

My personal favorites: Little Witcher Bestiary, The Most Powerful Sign, Boys’ Night Out, School of the…, Ashenlock & the Three Bears, & Bedtime Quiz.

The Little Witcher is a delightful read for me & it goes well for Witcher fans of any age!

Cute! A series of short comics, some funnier than others. Probably won't mean much to people who haven't seen the show/read the books/played the game, but a fun read for those who have.

HOLY F*CK THIS WAS SO ADORABLE AND FUNNY!! The whole time I was going "awwww" and "HAHA OMG". It's so ridiculous. Oh my god. It's so funny to see Geralt, a monster hunter and certified cold-hearted badass from both the games and show become this soft father over the daughter he adopted. And Ciri still kept that gremlin energy she had. It feels so uncanon to their characters, but also canon at the same time if possible.

This healed my inner child.

I love the Witcher. It is my favorite fantasy series across all forms of media- books, games, and television. Though I am yet to complete reading the series (I am on the Tower of the Swallow right now), when I saw this book, I had to grab it. I am not a child, nor do I have one, or ever plan on having one, but I am so glad I purchased the Little Witcher. My expectations were not super high, seeing as it is a children's book, but I was blown away.

I didn't expect it to be as long as it was, with as many short stories as it had. It melted my heart to see Ciri having the childhood in Kaer Morhen that she deserved. All the characters remained true to themselves, and the stories felt right at home in the Witcher universe. I adore Ciri's relationship with Geralt and the rest of the witchers with Dandelion and Yennefer.

The world of the Witcher is often so dark and gritty, and this book is a little beam of sunlight. It's a great introduction to the characters and I highly recommend it for any Witcher fan

As a huge Witcher fan of both the books and the games...I still feel really upset that Yennefer's role in Ciri's life always feel really sidelined, when she should have been as important as Geralt. While the comics in this little book was adorable and satisfying, I still feel that they kept Yennefer too much as a side character. The comics are lighthearted and adorable, and fun to read. I especially loved the more heartwarming ones, such as Ashenlocks and the Three Bears. I would have loved more interaction between Ciri and the wolf school witchers too, like Eskel, Lambert and Coen...but I guess that is slightly too much to ask for.

All in all an enjoyable book! Though I think my expectations are always too high when I see Yennefer included on the covers. Sigh.

Forcing children follow a fandom, cult or sporting team is reprehensible. One could argue that making kids read is also bad (one could argue it, you will lose, but you could argue it). However, this graphic style, and the light-hearted way it uses the setting of the Witcher would be one way to go about it. The work in no way contributes anything to the Witcher myth, in fact it is very much non-canon it the way it mucks up chronology and character personalities; to the point of missing the raison d'être of the relationship between the two primary protagonists (Geralt & Ciri). Never-the-less, it was a quite jolly little piece and is recommended for any dead set fans.

ocena: 2,7 /5 🌻
forma: 📖

Very cute. This isn't really a children's book, though I guess kids could probably have a good time reading it. The target audience is, of course, Witcher fans, or at least young at heart Witcher fans. The art is really cute while keeping the characters recognizable, and the writing is sweet without being syrupy. The focus is on the relationship between Geralt and Ciri, with Yennefer, Vesemir, and Dandelion making apperances.

These would be maybe cute stumbling across one on Reddit. A whole book was boring. Cute art but the joke is the same over and over and it just seemed made to appeal to people who grew up with the game and are now parents or something. Boring stereotypical gender roles and Yennifer sidelined and just not super interesting character dynamics. Like a goofy fanfic with good art.
