Not what I expected. I'm a little disappointed by this book. I definitely learnt a lot of interesting things/facts about Jamie but overall there's nothing special about this one.

Review Though I found this book exciting and it hyped me up even more for the release of Fifty Shades of Grey on Valentines Day, I found the content to be all over the place. We're constantly jumping backwards and forwards in Jamie's life and though the book is supposed to be about Jamie himself, I found that most of the pertinent information to be about Jamie's father. After watching the British crime drama, The Fall, my status as a Jamie Dornan fan became sealed. And as a fan, I was exstatic that I was given the opportunity to read up on the Irish hottie, but unfortunately, I found that most of the information in this book is readily available online and I knew most of it before I'd even picked up this book. And though there are lots of quotes from the man himself, most of them are secondary from other interviews or 'sources'. I was really hoping that this book would take us into the man behind the face (or Golden Chest as the case may be) but it just didn't get there for me. Regardless, if you're excited for the movie, or if you're just a huge fan of those ruggedly sharp features and piercing eyes, you should pick this one up and give it a read. At just over two hundred and fifty pages it won't take you long, and you'll be reminded along the way why you're a fan!!!
Let me just start of saying that I absolutely adore Jamie Dornan. He is extremely talented and handsome ;) Overall, I felt like it was an okay biography. Unfortunately it felt very scattered and there did not seem to have a clear 'journey' of his life. Also, I feel that there was too much time spent discussing people such as his father and wife which gave of the vibe as just something to bulk- out the book. Also, practically most of the information in the book could be found on online with a couple of clicks. However, if you are a fan of Jamie it is a good read to get an insight to his personal life and career.
okay so in my opinion this book was very enjoyable. Jamie was so much more "complex" then I anticipated.
In this book we got insight into Jamie's childhood: You get to learn about Jamie's life as a model and was known for his Calvin Klein photo shoots. You get to learn about his role on the show "The Fall" were Jamie played a serial killer. Also for this role Jamie did some research on the serial killer "Ted Bundy" to try to get a better understanding and to be able to play his role a bit better. He also stared in the first season of "Once Upon A Time" as "Graham". Also of course the film that really sky rocketed his career and put him out there "50 Shades Of Grey". I learned more about that movie, and found it interesting that it started out as some Twilight Fan Fiction and sold over 100 million copies. Also the movie was filmed in Vancouver, BC and I'm Canadian so I thought that was really cool! (:
We got insight into his personally relationships and for a long time he was always known as "this girls ex" which was really upsetting for him. We as well get to know that Jamie is married and has a child (: Not to mention the reason he grew a beard is so he wouldn't be called "cute" haha.
This I am pretty sure was my first biography I ever read! I did thoroughly enjoy it! I'm hoping to read more biography's in the future and did in fact find Mr. Dornan's life really intresting to read about!
I would give this book a 3.8 star rating but since I can't do that I will be rounding it down to a 3 but just keep in mind I'm more leaned toward the 3.5-3.8 rating.
I found this book talked more about the plot lines of Jamie's projects and the reviews of the same then it talked about Jamie himself. It lacked the personal in my opinion.
