Lead with love- A journey of faith in Parenting Teens by Asumini Kasule is a MUST read book for every parent irrespective how old your kids are. It is a mirror that helps you view parents not just as unshakable pillars but as humans with anxiety and other emotional baggage.
It is a reminder that parenting starts with you as an individual, your connection with Allah reflects in how you conduct your affairs. It maps out how to nurture our teens into responsible adults and how Islamic principles guides us towards achieving that. It shows how our strength as parents is not achieved through perfection but rather presence, empathy and compassion.

My highlight is Sister Asumini’s transparency about her own journey as an African American and the case studies which were so beautifully written and the reflection exercises.
Lead with Love feels like a breath of sincerity in a world that often expects parents to have it all figured out. It’s a gentle guide toward healing, connection, and transformation—for anyone willing to put its wisdom into practice.
