Wow, King of Darkness! A-FREAKING-MA-ZING!! Five stars aren’t enough, this is a 6⭐️ read! The worldbuilding is incredible and the story pulls you in from the very first page. The pacing held strong, even with the flashbacks, which enriched the story and drew me in even further. The characters are brilliantly crafted and feel incredibly real and that ending…I was absolutely NOT ready for it, in the best possible way.
What else can I even say except that the author truly delivered with this book. It deserves to get massive recognition!

I am absolutely obsessed with this book!
I was lucky enough to get this book from Sherliyn and gosh I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster.
The book is extremely well written and keeps your attention through the entire story of Luna.
Even with the flashbacks to different time periods, instead of taking your attention away from the ongoing storyline, it actually boosts the story!
I normally am not a fantasy reader but gave it a shot since it’s dark romance as well and I couldn’t have made a better decision 🖤✨

My. Freaking. HEART.
Sherilyn Alyssa blew me away with her dark romance, Sometimes He Loves Me, but then she went and wrote King of Darkness!!!
I literally have no words. The plot. The world building. The twists. The freaking SPICE. King of Darkness is a pitch black enemies-lovers-enemies revenge dark Romantasy that will have your heart and mind in an utterly beautiful and tormented chaotic mess.
I literally wanted to scream throughout this book and then cry because how could you do this to me? I fell so hard for the villain, Sherilyn, like you KNEW I would.
The obsession, the darkness, the utter devotion. I have never swooned so hard for the bad guy. It is probably very unhealthy but good googily moogily; to feel that all consuming fire? It’s got me clutching my pearls and shaking at the thought. But the lengths he would go to?? How could we not fall? How could she fight him? I fear I am a weaker woman because I would have let him burn the absolute world down. To hell with my hope, healing and humanity if it meant an eternity in his delicious darkness. 10/10 I would have absolutely crumbled. Especially when he started to manipulate the shadows. 😭
I can NOT recommend King of Darkness enough. A bit slow in the beginning as we dive headfirst into conflict. But when I tell you, this book unfolds into a beautiful dark and twisted work of art that will rip your heart out, I mean it with my whole chest. This is not your conventional dark Romantasy where they hate one another but come to love and it ends in a HEA. Our MCs are on two different sides of a war, bound together by tragic beginnings, fated to be each others other half for eternity; but where one is light, the other lives and succumbs to darkness. Be prepared to sacrifice, be ravaged, fall in love, grow to hate, betrayed, and then broken; thoroughly. I don’t know how I’m going to emotionally recover from this book. 1000/5 ⭐️ 4.5/5🌶️

WOW if this doesn't blow up and become a best seller I have no idea what's going on in the world!!!!
There's so much going on in this book
To start the world building is amazing I can actually picture what it is meant to look like in my head, same as the descriptions of the characters they feel so real,
There's so much love, hate, betrayal and utter heart break in this book I feel like my heart is breaking now,
you start thinking you know who the bad guys are but you end up changing your mind so much you feel like you have whiplash from it, then theres the plot twists,
I absolutely howled crying multiple times throughout this especially the ending, this book is going to live rent free in my head for a long time
this is a dark fantasy romance emphasise on the dark so check the TW and buckle up and enjoy the ride

No because I am still, all this time later, truly flawed by this book.
This was the first fantasy style dark romance book I read and I was completely and utterly obsessed throughout. I wasn’t sure if I would like it, and I’m still on the verge of saying I didn’t like it because it ripped my heart to pieces multiple times!!!! But Jesus, it was written with some kind of dark magic (if you know, you know).
Rayvin, baby, you have my heart 😭😭😭 this is a book I will always hold close to my heart, it was absolutely incredible. I FELT every word that was written. The storyline and plot was just flawless, the character developments were beautiful and THE PLOT TWISTS?! I could not possibly prepare you for them!

This book is a great one. The world building is detailed the characters in this book actually build themselves their own world. This book has reincarnation and love that last throughout time. Ray in is as dark a main character as you can get. Luna is a fierce FMC. This book is full of deceit so be prepared.

If this isn't Sherilyn's big break, I will riot. This book is SO GOOD.
This book made me laugh, cry and take breathing breaks.
This book made me feel. Deeply.
These characters were so real. I found something to relate to with all of them.
Rayvin? Daddy. That's it. He can use a bone on me any day. 🦴
Luna? Adorable and fierce and a real queen. I want to be her. I want to be with her.
Honestly, this is my favorite read of the whole year. I am obsessed with Rayvin and Luna and how absolutely obsessed Rayvin is. He is dark and delicious, absolutely, but he also has real feelings and concerns. His mission has a reason, and the reasons are valid. (My judgment might be clouded by the fact that this man has me in a chokehold... 😭)
If you want a fantasy world with magic and intrigues, with love and deceit, twists and morally gray characters, and some unhinged smut -- read this. I beg you. And then slide into my DM's so we can talk about it. 👀
I also can't wait to get to know Kareem, Catherine and Dargan even better later in the series. 🖤 I already know I will love it all.

Destroyed me in the best way! Wow what a story! Full of raw longing and conflict and had me questioning my morals! I love how the author didn't change the darkness of Rayvin to suit Luna, and I love how she didn't bend Luna's lightness for her and Rayvin to come together and live HEA. Like there was no compromising in beliefs to achieve a resolution. They both stood their ground and you can't help but respect that. It was all so incredible, especially Rayvin's sacrifice. The level of detail in this book was outstanding, so much so I saw it all play out like a movie in my head. It was fantastic and I really don't understand why more people are not reading this book. A top favourite of mine! The writing, the characters, the lore, the conflict, the spice, it was done so beautifully! Lots of wow moments, gasps and lots and lots of tears! Devastatingly beautiful!!!

King of Darkness completely consumed me from page one. The writing is addictive, and the chemistry between the leads is off the charts. It’s dark, emotional, and unapologetically spicy 🥵 🥵
The “King” is powerful, possessive, and dangerously magnetic, while the heroine holds her own beautifully — their push and pull kept me hooked the entire time. The slow burn tension? Immaculate. The spice? 🔥🔥🔥🔥The emotions? 🔥🖤😩💔
I devoured it in two sittings and I’m already counting the days until the next book. If you like your romance dark, your heroes morally gray, King of Darkness will ruin you in the best possible way. 👑🔥
