Romance on the Ranch Series: Dream Kisses, Honey Kisses, Baby Kisses, Candy Kisses, Christmas Kisses, Rock Star Kisses, Forever Kisses, Forgotten Kisses, Angel Kisses, The Last Kiss
Toby Tanner has everything—loving family, career, looks, money, friends—but something changed when his twin brother married. No longer satisfied with superficial relationships he wants to connect with a woman in ways other than physical, like his brother has. When Toby meets Dovie Juniper, he falls for her fast and hard, but his easy manner with women is wasted on her. He's going to have to work for this relationship.
Dovie hasn't lived a perfect life like handsome cowboy, Toby. In fact, she has major physical challenges that have kept men away from her. However, her biggest challenge will be opening her heart to a man who loves her unconditionally.
I love a book that makes me forget everything except what I'm reading. As a preteen, I devoured Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys' Mysteries. When I reached my teens, romance novels became my favorite genre. Many years later, I decided to try my hand at writing and I've been doing so with a passion ever since. I have released over twenty-five romance novels, including a contemporary western series titled "Romance on the Ranch." The initial story, "Dream Kisses," started out as a single novella, but turned into an ongoing saga when secondary characters cried out for their own stories. The series was completed with book 10 and its one of my proudest accomplishments. As for historical romance, I ventured into that genre with a four book series titled "Unconventional," and enjoyed it so much that I wrote another collection titled "Finding Home." After that I returned to contemporary romance with the unlikely setting of a trailer park in the Arizona Desert, and, believe it or not, romance abounds at Desert Princess Trailer and RV Park in the middle of nowhere. There are three books in the "Oasis" series. Of course, I couldn't overlook writing in the paranormal/fantasy genre and released "The Shapeling Trilogy" about shapeshifters. In that series, my shifters travel the world, solve mysteries, and fall in love.
Using the pen name of Colleen Clay, I published a YA novel titled, "Fragile Hearts."
Now that I've been writing for so many years, I can't imagine doing anything else.
Forever Kisses is a sweet romance between Toby Tanner and Dovie Juniper with a lot of help from his family. Dovie visits the ranch to interview Toby's parents, Sarah, a famous author and Shay, her model husband for her blog. Dovie was born with a partial arm and partial leg, had never been kissed until Toby found he couldn't resist her. Trail rides, helping with the special needs children visiting the group and a scheme by his family bring the couple together for a happy ending. The story is full of emotions from the kids, Dovie and it is heartwarming how the community comes together to welcome and help each one of them.
This was a sweet story of a woman born with disabilities and a man open hearted enough to look right past them.
Dovie is a strong woman who doesn't let her disability stop her from anything except for finding love. A chance meeting gives her the chance of changing her life and others for the better.
Toby is done playing the field and wants to settle down like his twin brother. Meeting Dovie has made him start thinking about forever for the first time. He is drawn to her and has an instant attraction he can't quite explain.
This story was sweet and had a very touching moment in the end. There were a few additional relationships I enjoyed, Roxy and Dovie, Dovie and Toby's parents. I could have done without the side story of Sally and Flatfoot. It was sort of random as I hadn't read any of the other books in the series and did not quite understand it. That being said, this was a quick read that finished up nicely. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Contemporary Western Cowboy small town story about a Vet that finds love with a physically handicapped Blogger. Cute story about finding love with some one that isn't your 'type' whatever that is supposed to mean because unless you only date identical twins, no one is all that similar. I get that this is part of a series, but totally can be read as a stand alone. The author treats physical handicaps with respect and hope which was kind, but still lets Dovie choose Toby because she wants him and not because he is the first male to try to date her. Story is fine, but a little short. 145 pages and kindle freebie 2 stars
2 beautiful stories for the price of 1, loved the side story with Flatfoot and Sally, so sweet, so lovely that they were an older couple. The main story about Toby and Dovie was pure romance, gave my heart a little lift I can tell you, love this series, always a joy to read.
