Anders Nordic and Alexandria Deveraux are now happily married, but there’s no blissful honeymoon for these ranchers or Nordic’s loyal collie dog, Finn. A powerful enemy from Nordic’s elderly father-in-law’s past is riding hard for revenge, and he’s bringing killers with him.
Territorial Senator James McClellan was just a boy when Garth burned his family off their settler’s land. Now, with wealth and political power at his back, McClellan wants blood. He sends mercenaries to destroy Garth’s legacy—and take everything from the daughter he loves.
First, they come for Nordic. Then they come for Alex.
But the senator doesn’t know who he’s dealing with. When gunmen threaten his land, his family, and his pregnant wife, Nordic does what he does fight back—with a Winchester Yellowboy in his hands, twin Russian pistols on his hips, and Finn at his side.
The past may have come calling, but Anders Nordic is answering with lead.
Will the blood feud consume the Comanche Ranch—or end with one final, thundering showdown? Lock and load—Book 3 of the gritty, heart-pounding Nordic & Finn saga is here.
Peter Brandvold has written well over one hundred action westerns under his own name and his pseudonym, Frank Leslie. Born and raised in North Dakota, he has lived all over the West. He currently lives in western Minnesota with his dog. Follow him at Amazon and here peterbrandvold.blogspot.comand here: facebook.com/peter.brandvold.
Anders Nordic and his dog Flinn were always lone drifters until he met his match. He ended up the husband to a rich rancher's daughter (Alexandria) who was just as spirited as he was. Garth Deveraux was an old man that thought all the range was his, he had a history of driving anyone out or worse. This came back to create problems for Nordic. The story is one action event after another and really holds your interest. I was tempted to go to the story end just to see how it turns out. I really enjoyed this book and author's writing.
It has been quite a year for Nordic&Finn. Now he and Alexandra are married and her father has deeded over the ranch to them. The problem is, the old man has enemies that want him dead. To do that, they have to take care of Nordic first. That turns out to be an impossible task. Plenty of action on every page!
A great story that needs a better copy editor, or less use of AI. It follows the path of those who settled in a homestead, only to have it threatened by all manner of those who felt their presence infringed on their rights. It helps to have a strong stomach as you look forward to what will happen next.
Always great reading and finishing this great series!
I have read a great number of Brandvold's classics. He always portrays a realistic portrayal of the west and this Nordic and Finn totally makes the reader feel a part of the action.
I have read a lot of books.. I have n ever written a review. . . but, this series deserves it! Hope there is another one in the works. Hats off to Mr Brandvoid!!
