Trzech mężczyzn. Trzy maski.

Czasem to właśnie potwory potrafią ocalić przed światem. Oraz nauczyć kochać jego mrok.

i didn't expect the first 60% to just be 'Scream For Us'🧍🏾‍♀️ yes the new POV's and the guys backstory were good but to have the full novella in the book, seemed a bit overkill, especially for people who have read the novellas already, i guess i was just looking for more new content instead, hopefully the next book has that

Bloodshed by Molly Doyle is a dark, spicy RH romance — the first full-length novel in the Order of the Unseen series. It picks up after the dangerous Halloween night where Quinn, a college student, crosses many forbidden lines when she makes a deal with three masked men: just one night. But who are these men? What events led to this moment? And what follows after that unforgettable night of passion, danger, and desire? 🕯️🎃

Please note: This book ends on a small cliffhanger. It also contains MM scenes (I’m mentioning this because I know some girlies are not into that — I’m not either, but I just fast-forwarded through those scenes 😅).

───♡─────────────

♡ What I loved most:
• The dedication was so wholesome — a heartfelt touch that instantly made me respect the author’s sensibility 🌸
• The multi-POV structure gave such emotional depth and made the story feel more layered 💫
• The secret society plot was dark, mysterious, and incredibly intriguing 🕵️‍♀️
• Learning about Quinn felt like looking into a mirror — I loved how much I could see myself in her! I even drink coffee the same way 🥺
“She spent most of her free time at bookstores. She took her coffee with one cream, a single pump of vanilla, and no sugar. Her mom was her best friend.”

• The backstories about the guys’ pasts and how they met Quinn were emotional and beautifully done — such a tender layer in an otherwise dark story 💔
• Seeing the events of Scream for Us from the guys’ perspective was an absolute treat — every single minute of it had me hooked 🖤
• I loved that the guys’ love language was protection (even when it went too far — after all, this *is* a dark romance) 🛡️
• The spice was deliciously written 🤭🔥
• The ending sets up the next book perfectly, making me desperate to keep reading 🎄

✘ What didn’t work for me:
• I loved revisiting the Halloween party from the guys’ POV, but from Quinn’s? It was repetitive — word-for-word from Scream for Us — and I ended up skimming those chapters 😕
• A few typos here and there 🥲 Nothing major, just slightly distracting.
• Considering this is a full-length story, I hoped for a little more plot beyond the spice. While the heat was incredible, it did overshadow the storyline a bit, especially in the last 50-ish pages 🔥📖

❀ Overall:
I truly enjoyed this book. Just like the prequel, it masterfully captures themes of passion, obsession, and devotion — wrapped in darkness and desire. The emotional backstories and the way everything tied back to that one fateful Halloween night made it impossible to put down. Add in the author’s signature addictive spice, and you’ve got a dark romance that burns beautifully. I can’t wait to dive into Melt for Us — I cannot wait until Christmas 🤭🎄

If I wasn’t so invested in Micah and Jensen’s relationship, I would have dropped this book by the 20% mark. There were plenty of reused material - as in, full chapters from Scream For Us - some in the original POV and some others in the boys' POV, and literally nothing was explained. Things were being introduced left and right, sure, but everything was just glossed over.

Personally, I would just stick to SFU and MFU. At least, the choice for the porn without plot structure made sense. In this book, the smut comes out of nowhere and their feelings are wholly unjustified. Also, all the secrecy and hiding gets so annoying by the middle of the book - like why Quinn, specifically? Was the Order literally formed to stop that other cult? What was Micah and Jensen’s connections to the Order; and was it only because they’re friends of Damien’s? Is Damien in charge now? And who the hell cares??

Like I mentioned, the only part of the book I enjoyed was whenever Micah and Jensen tried to confront their feelings for each other. At least, with them, we managed to see how intertwined they've become since meeting as teens when Micah was still learning his condition and Jensen was hopping around the foster system. Whereas Damien's backstory was made to seem super intense and extreme just for the sake of him being the most 'tortured' one, oh boo hoo. And don't even get me started on Quinn. Beyond her abilities to keep up with the boys, she genuinely has a personality of a cardboard box - there's really nothing else I can say about her.

Dark and steamy Halloween romance!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💚💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌏
Character development: 😊😘😟🤓
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Duet Narration

The heroine: Quinn - she is a typical girl. In middle and high school, she was seriously bullied so bad that she couldn’t have a computer or go on social media because it was so bad. Mean girls constantly told her that her father killed himself because she was born and much worse. Years later, she is in college and had started over and was determined to never let her bullies affect her again.

The Heroes: Damien, Jensen, Micah - they each grew up in their own personal hell and they are now in the mysterious Order (of the Unseen). They are given the job of protecting Quinn and they follow her for five years, protecting her from the shadows without her knowing. They want to keep her innocent until one Halloween night when they can no longer stay in the shadows and come forth to claim her as theirs.

The Story: Quinn was at a college party on Halloween night when she is assaulted on the dance floor. Suddenly a tall figure with dark mask beats the man to a pulp, protecting her and she is soon hooking up with the man in a super steamy interlude, where she finds out that his two friends were watching the whole time. She later comes face to face with one of her old bullies, where the three men protect her and claim her as theirs.

This was a dark romance that tried to be even grittier and darker than it turned out to be. I found it especially telling that the guys wore masks at the party and they were the ghost face killer, Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers masks. Some of the terrible things that happened seemed to be exaggerated for effect to make this even darker than it needed to be. The steamy scenes were sizzling hot, and the guys were dominant and liked it rough. There were also some MM scenes and menage scenes. Some of it was a bit unbelievable, like the fact that Damien couldn’t finish with a woman except when he did it with Quinn. I guess I just didn’t connect with these characters as much as I’d like to in a romance book.

This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via duet narration and was narrated by Von Necros, Corvin King, Ken Murdock, and Autumn Ivy. Autumn Ivy has a pleasant feminine voice which I really liked, and the men all did a great job. They had deep voices which were all very sexy. I loved the fact that this was done in duet narration with some background sounds as well. The only thing was that the background sounds were a bit unrealistic. There was one scene where Damien was forced by his father to cut off a finger of a man they were torturing, and it sounded crunchy instead of like a bone was being clipped. Then when he stabbed the guy, it sounded like he was stabbing a bag of potato chips.

Everything was either awkward or cringy

🎃 The heroes

Damien: He's a poorly written Kerrigan Byrne hero. Sad, tragic background included. Except, this author doesn't have the skills to rise the sympathy or rage or whatever she was going for in the readers.
But unlike most people, for me, being sad wasn’t an option.
It was as if there was now a small flame in place of my soul, which had gradually turned into a massive fire that the devil himself tossed a bunch of burning tires on.
Tires never really stop burning.
Neither does the devil.
And that fire consumed me.

Yikes 😬

“My heart beats for you, Quinn,” he murmurs, tracing my lips with his thumb. “Without you, I’m nothing but a numb, empty shell of a man, on the brink of madness.”

I asked for plot and I got it!! The first part of this book follows Ghost, Jason and Michael, aka Damien, Jensen and Micah, as they're growing up and befriending each other. Obviously none of that is sunshine and roses.

We also get to see what led to them following Quinn around, keeping her safe for years.

Then there's the novella section, where several chapters are exactly the same as in Scream For Us, while some have been omitted entirely, and others are told from one of the guys' PoVs instead of Quinn's.

And then the final part is what happened after their one night of shenanigans.

I gotta say, I really had a good time with this. I liked the novella, but this was so much more fun, adding more plot DOES make things better! I'm also a sucker for cult stories, real or fictional, so adding that as an element only made me like the story more.

Of course, we didn't get all the answers as to why Quinn needs protection and who she really is , but I don't mind finding that out down the line.

I do wish that we got some more non-repeat scenes though, because I didn't quite feel like rereading the novella so soon, but I guess it's there so people can just jump into this and still have the full story.

About half of the book was the novella, by the way, so you really don't need to read that before this unless you want to. There is one ending scene that wasn't in this, but was in Scream For Us, a conversation that I thought was kinda important, so maybeeee you should read it anyway, I don't know. I mean, it won't impact you if you just start with this, but y'know.

Anyway, I liked the relationship development we got here, not just between Quinn and the guys, but also Jensen and Michael. I'll definitely be continuing the series.

Sigh. I’m so disappointed. 70% of this was just Scream For Us retold. Why? Wasn’t this supposed to be an all new storyline? And the fact that it ends on a cliffhanger is unnecessary.

This book is about a young lady quinn who is held hostage by masked and hooded men during Halloween. It is a tale that reminds us that monsters are nothing but the evil humans within us.

It was a great read and I enjoyed a lot

I really reallyyyyy wanted to like this one but it felt like I was rereading scream for us for few chapters rereading what we already read so it made the book meh I wanted more stuff between them not stuff I reread. I wish after the pre-Quinn we got right after the halloween night. So we can have more connections between the group we still don't know about the cult, we don't know who felicity is???? Why the mom was shifty after Quinn said Damiens name?!?

There was so many questions that could've been answered. Beside that we saw alittle more of the guys background how they became friends which I love. We got Quinn with the other guys opening up talking so yes!!!
Now we have to wait for another book to find out these questions.

This book is to die for. Figuratively and literally. I was already in love with Scream for Us and Melt for Us but this just made that love into an obsession. I love that it was all of their POVs and not just Quinn’s. I love the plot and the smut. I honestly wouldn’t change a single thing about it. The fact that Molly put their backstories was just perfect. I read this off of KU the second it became available and finished it the same day and it was so damn worth it. This was everything I wanted and more. Quite literally the perfect way to end October.

PS. Damien is EVERYTHING

Reread Review: ok still absolutely loved it and I did the AB and 🫠🫠. I’d give it like a 4.5 ⭐️ now only cause there were a couple things that I’m like ok ummmmmm 💀. I think I was just so excited when I read it (I read it the moment it came out and finished it in one sitting) that I glanced over the stuff I’d normally have issues with in any other books. Other than that still loved it. Loved Damien (duh) and I need more of Micah and Jensen 😩. I feel like I’ve already said this but I’ll keep on saying it BECAUSE ITS A NEED. (A need for speed (that just made me think of that don’t ask). But still amazing and I can’t wait for Bloodbath 😭.

Oh and another PS. Damien still is everything 😌

4/5⭐️
4/5🌶 Where was all the group action I was promised???

I rated this high just because the audiobook made me almost pee myself. It had random sound effects and I've never come across anything that awkward and funny. Slapping, humping , creaks and punches..oh and the moaning! Truly a 5/5 experience. Also they put it in 'horror' and I think it's insulting for real horror.. or maybe I'm just brain damaged🤷‍♀️

The actual plot????? Where was it?? cuz I did not see it. It was just a lot of licking and moaning. Not that I'm complaining..

I'll come back someday to lower the rating in secret, once I've gotten my life in check and Damien out of my system 🤭

"Baby, if God is real then God is me.”

SCREAMING BUT THE S IS SILENT 🥵. This novel was everything I wanted and more from the Masked Men-turned-Order of The Unseen universe.

From the beginning we follow how Damien, Jensen and Micah become a unit as well as the struggles each of them has with mental health. I believe it’s portrayed in a very real, raw way and you maybe wouldn’t expect that from a smutty book. As well as that you get their POV for some Scream for Us scenes and I thought it was very clever how the author wrote the story in a way in which you could enjoy this one without having read the novella.

The switch between the POVs was clear and each character has been created with clear traits to help the reader get a sense of which guy brings what to the table. I previously mentioned in my Scream for Us review that it felt more like a one night stand between Quinn and Damien where his friends tagged along rather than the balance of a RH but this book corrected that. Even though Damien is the leader, both Jensen and Micah are important parts of this whole and they offer Quinn something else.

As much as it claims to be a “no plot just smut” book, Bloodshed introduces some interesting plot lines and I actually want to know who is who and what the hell is happening. I can see myself stalking Molly Doyle for any news regarding the release of the next installment.

i came here purely for the smut and the backstory … it certainly DELIVERED 😍🙌🏼

seeing how the boys, damien, jensen, and micah came to be was absolutely everything i needed. the way they all met up at school, best thing ever. i loved getting to know more of their story and their childhood then growing up in the order. it’s so crazy how from “scream for us” i was already obsessed with them but now i literally can’t choose. but damien has me in a literal chokehold. i loved the tension and relationship between jensen and micah. literally was looking forward for those two to happen 🥹 all of their povs is just perfect. i literally want to be quinn. like why choose one when you can have all three ?!

THE SPICE WAS SPICING 🫦 had me reaching my rose every damn time. i love them !! this was literally straight up smut and some plot. i simply don’t care. it delivered and i ATE IT UP !!

The sex was great 10/10, plot was meh; dialogues were cringe😐 (esp Damien). Character development wasn’t great for Quinn, it just wasn’t enough. Typical “bullied girl gets saved by her knight(s) in shining armour”. I kinda hoped there was more depth to her tbh.

yeah i’d prolly only go back for the spicy scenes, other than that nah; overall an underwhelming but easy read.

I did not expect this book to be this good! It was interesting and the characters were well written. What i have to mention is that 50% of this book is in the novella of the series. I did not mind as it has the other characters povs in it but plot wise it was more or less the same.

Eh ?

I think part of what made the novellas before this book so fun and successful was the wild energy attached to what was essentially a sexy slasher movie. Tying that killer trio into an organized secret society going to secret war with a satanic cult that is also Ghost/Damien’s origin story not only makes things a bit odd but also loses a lot of the charm of what drew us to the characters in the first place (in my personal opinion).

I enjoyed getting origin/background stories for our masked men immensely and the subplot that focused on Micah and Jenson’s relationship was very compelling, but re-reading scenes from the first novella and learning that these men were sent to Quinn instead of stumbling across her and being drawn to her then was where some disconnect happened for me.

Don’t get me wrong, the book is sexy and all but I think my enjoyment for the world will peak with the novellas.

CW: explicit sexual content (heavily including BDSM), domestic violence and child abuse (both physical and mental), murder, references to past bullying and self harm, references to suicidal ideation, suicide of loved one, grief, cult activity, religious extremism, arson

This full length book was supposed to pick up after scream for us and give us some context to what happened between the time period scream for us and melt for us is. Instead we got a backstory part which was fine maybe a bit dragged out but fine. Then we got a synopsis and rerun of scream for us with a different pov that added no depth or character understanding. Then we get a small part that’s basically the build up towards melt for us. Then it ends. This did anything but make you understand their relationship growth between the two novellas. Honestly very disappointing feels like it was written by someone who just read the first novella and was told a word count and proceeded to write a whole synopsis on the first novella and call i a full length book.

Okay so here’s the deal.. Kinda shook that a big chunk of this book was just “Scream For Us” but with multiple POVs. For a full-length novel I expected more backstory, more character development and such. But I got none of that. I did enjoy it for what it was. I just wanted more from the plot and characters since the novella SERVED the hot masked men kink on Halloween..
