After his previous visit to the land of the Saweeoo, sentient, scheming dinosaurs, John didn’t think he could trust it. Nor did he think he could trust in the land of the Saweeoo his relationship with his lifelong friend Jim Voel had changed dramatically, something the two men could not bear to speak of after returning home. Could he even trust Voel, now that his hero since childhood was being transformed by mysterious medicine into a Saweeoo?
But the dinosaur held the one bargaining piece that John couldn’t the life of Clara, his wife, whom he loved more than his own life, possibly even more than Voel.
So John must dive back into the Saweeoo world and sink deep where he had only skimmed the surface before. Can he stand the terrors he finds there? What will he do when they threaten to engulf everything, everyone, and everywhere he has ever known and loved? Is there anything he can save?
