Apple Cider Love is book one in the Amberwood Falls series by Meadow James. Do you enjoy Autumn themed stories set in gorgeous small towns that sound like something out of a Hallmark movie?! I definitely do and I am so in love with this lovely little story. It is so sweet, so filled with beautiful scenery, wonderful characters and so much love. My eyes even watered a couple of times with the adorable interactions with the students.
Charlotte “Charlie” Sutton knew her calling was to be a teacher. It was something she got infinite enjoyment from, watching little minds come alive. She started out in Boston but quickly burned out within the big city environment. She became a temporary teacher, filling in here and there until she found the perfect place. She is set to teach second grade in Amberwood Falls, Massachusetts until they fill the position permanently after the new year. She is instantly smitten with the beautiful little town and with the town’s apple orchard. Even it’s curmudgeonly owner.
Ethan Morgan is the owner of the local apple orchard. He took over for his father when he retired. The orchard has been in his family for generations and he truly loves carrying on the traditions set by his great grandfather. Ethan has been hurt before and has protective walls built up six inches thick. So when he finds a beautiful woman trespassing on his property in his orchard, he doesn’t hesitate to boot her off the property. So why, then, did he not even hesitate to her offer to bring her second grade class here once a week for field trips to learn all about apple farming?!
There is an instant spark between these two and little by little, Charlie’s sunshiny personality breaks through Ethan’s gruff exterior. He just can’t resist her and soon, they have developed a relationship. Still, though, Charlie’s contract is only for one semester. Then she is supposed to move on. What happens then? Will Ethan’s heart be broken all over again?
This really was such a heart filled story and I loved it. I also loved all the secondary characters. There was mention of maple sugar cookies with apple cider glaze. Now I can think of nothing but! This book left my heart all warm and squishy and I am definitely planning to read the second book in the series, Pumpkin Spice Hearts.

Such an adorable fall romance. Although predictable (which I don’t mind), there wasn’t anything wrong about it. Could have spiced it up a little but it was still a solid read without it.
