Your new foundation to reclaim health and confidence, designed to meet you exactly where you are.
What if the secret to better health wasn’t another diet, but a complete reset of how you live, think, and care for yourself? In The Consistency Code, wellness expert Courtney Townley offers a transformative approach to health designed specifically for women navigating the complex terrain of midlife, where hormonal shifts, changing stress loads, and competing priorities create unique challenges for self-care. Drawing on her decades of experience as a nutrition coach, personal trainer, and life coach, Townley guides you to reimagine health not as a physical pursuit, but as a holistic alignment with your deepest needs.
Millions of women are stuck in a cycle of temporary fixes—detoxes, boot camps, one-size-fits-all programs—that promise vitality but rarely deliver lasting results. Like others, you’ve been led to believe that health is about rigid control, deprivation, and someone else’s formula. The Consistency Code breaks this cycle. With insight and compassion, Townley reframes health as a deeply personal journey grounded in self-trust and consistent self-honoring—not rule-following or perfection. Through a four-part, flexible framework of simple, adaptable practices, she delivers a method that helps you shift from burnout and body obsession to mindful alignment and ease.
If you’re ready to replace chaos with clarity and reclaim your health and happiness on your own terms, The Consistency Code is your roadmap. Courtney Townley will help you access and apply what you already know with more purpose, grace, and, of course, consistency.
I've been following Courtney for a while now. She first inspired me through her podcasts - enough that I joined her online coaching community. This book is FIRE! It's like having the best personal coach on your nightstand (except not as... intrusive... )
The first part of the book describes her personal experiences with health and what she now defines health to be. A key takeaway is our relationships with our bodies - too often we tell them how to be instead of asking what they need.
The next part of the book breaks down the four practices of The Consistency Code, which she teaches in her coaching community. And consistency isn't what you think it is, by the way! It's not the same meal every day or the exact same workout until you are too bored to do it again. It's a gentler approach that meets us where we are, accommodates all the things that we juggle in our busy lives, and whispers to us that maybe there is a bit of time for ourselves. (Or more than a bit!)
There is so much goodness in this book, that I urge you to get a physical copy. This is a book that you'll want to highlight, underline, and flag the parts that will resonate with you. Then revisit it again to find new nuggets.
You can also bring this book to your book club. There are prompts at the back for conversation, as well as bonus resources.
Imagine having a guidebook that gives you tools to create your own successful path to personal and professional success. The author shares a framework that she created from her experience over years as a trained coach that works for anyone, but is aimed at women who are mid-life and beyond. The idea is that every individual can create a future worth reminiscing about and is achievable by demonstrating consistency in key areas of daily life. Townley approaches her “Consistency Code” from a well-researched scientific approach and acknowledges that success is not a linear path. She shares strategies to gain awareness of one’s needs, make a cogent plan to be successful (whatever that means to each person) and to get back on track when human nature inevitably interferes with progress, thus enabling realignment with the personal path to success. Life is a journey, not a sprint – “The Consistency Code” can help make your journey a memorable and meaningful one.
While this book is meant to be read by the "mid-life" woman, I think it's also a great read for those younger. Often, we lose ourselves in the ebb and flow of life and all of a sudden, we are in midlife trying to navigate often times feeling burned out, overwhelmed, and more. We wake up and ask what's next? How did I get here? Courtney has an amazing community she has built through her podcast and membership program, and I was thrilled to see this book come to reality to reach even more women. I've recommended it to many friends and those in passing within my own community.
This book offers a new perspective on health. Townley is an expert in the health and wellness field with decades of experience to draw from. Her writing is funny, engaging, wise and inspiring. This is a book that I will read numerous times and get something new from each reading!
