Eddie Mercy has spent years as a professional bodyguard, using his expertise to protect movie stars, politicians, tech bros, the rich and the famous. But when a Catholic priest comes to his office to ask that he protect a 10-year-old boy named Timmy from a Satanic cult, it’s a new one for Eddie. He doesn’t believe any of it, but the money’s good, so he takes the job.
