But if the strange occurrences of forgetfulness and confusion continue, he may not be able to hide the truth much longer. When his psychological issues put his life in danger, he must face the reality that the genetic nightmare he fears inheriting has seized him.

Again, longing for infinite stars!

Jerusha Agen writes with passion about the human condition and clearly points to hope in God and His salvation—all without being condescending or preachy. Her writing is master class.

Ever hear the saying “of all the things I miss, I miss my mind the most?” That’s what she’s putting Robert Weston through and it’s both chilling and a bit frightening. The realism is there and I really felt and related to his trauma and self doubt.

When your heart has been shattered and trust is broken, well, that’s its own special kind of trauma. So when attorney Monty Montgomery agrees to take Robert on as a client in his malpractice lawsuit she instantly tries to distance herself from any and all emotional connection.

There’s so much going on in this book! And it fits together perfectly. I truly don’t know how she does it. If I can tell you one thing about the intensity of her stories, it’s this:

She makes it SO HARD to resist turning to the end to make sure everyone turns out all right and to see who’s behind it all! SO. VERY. HARD!

I received an advance copy from the publisher. I’m under no obligation and my review has not been solicited. Very, very, VERY highly recommend!

This book offers a cleverly written page-turner that is intricately plotted in a way that drew me into the story right away. Robert’s story is a compelling one of threats, lost self-confidence and finding love in a most unlikely place. Robert is a talented psychiatrist who has incredible intelligence and insight into the minds of others and why they act as they do. What he does not have in this novel is the ability to discern what is happening to him when he begins forgetting things. Rather than search for a cause, he immediately assumes that he is beginning to show the same signs of dementia as his grandfather and is overwhelmed at times with self-pity. He is currently being sued for malpractice when one of his patients attempted suicide and is in a prolonged coma. His attorney, Monty Montgomery, is talented, self-confident and takes no prisoners in her quest for justice. It helps that her opponent is her former fiancé named Edmund whom she found less than trustworthy and totally unreliable. Robert and Monty work well together when he is not forgetting to show up and embarrassing her. The family dynamics in this novel are noteworthy, both for Robert and Monty. I really liked getting to know Monty’s sisters and her very protective brother Corey. Her life is threatened because of taking Robert’s case and Robert is feeling increasingly unsure of his own abilities since he keeps doing things that are out the ordinary for him. The twists are numerous as are the red herrings, and the main characters are lovable and easy to cheer for. I was totally unprepared for the great reveal of who the culprits were. I enjoyed the guessing game but I was wrong each time, much to my great pleasure as I kept guessing and reading. Neither was I prepared for the heart-pounding, edge-of-my-seat climax that had me holding my breath and wondering how it would all turn out. This book is unputdownable, with a strong faith foundation and an equally strong message of hope and encouragement to begin a relationship with the Lord. This is a fantastic and compelling story with masterfully written characterizations and edgy suspense.

Watched is the third book in the "Windy city Westons" series. Watched, like the previous two books was an absolutely gripping story from start to finish! Jerusha Agen writes stories that touch your heart and brings hope through faith and the Lords salvation. Robert Weston, the oldest son of the siblings. He is a very knowledgeable and astute psychiatrist. Robert is facing a malpractice suit due to one of his patients committing suicide. The story begins with little things keep happening that he is starting to think he is losing his mind like his grandfather, who had alzheimers Robert is scared to death when things keep happening. Someone took his greatest fear and is trying to use it against him.

Then he finds out Monty Montgomery is his counsel in his malpractice suit. Robert thinks she is the one attorney who actually hates him. He was called upon to testify in one of her cases and it didnt end well. He hopes they can make this work.
Monty Montgomery isn't sure if she wants the case but she agrees even though her ex fiance is the opposing counsel.
They both agree to try. Someone doesn't want them going to trial. They seem to be willing to do almost anything even murder to stop them.
While Monty and Robert get to know each other in between attacks. Robert keeps getting worse forgetting appointments, leaving things out, running out of gas which is a,complete opposite of his personality.
I really enjoyed this story it grabbed me by the throat from the beginning and wouldn't let go til the end of the book! I loved it!!
It definitely spoke to me about Alzheimer's as it will to many people. It is a horrible disease. Jerusha Agen writes about Robert thinking it would be the worst thing to happen to him but he realizes different til the end of the book. Don't miss this one! I definitely give this one 5 stars if I could I would give it 10!!! I want to thank Jerusha Agen for the early complementary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Get ready for an adrenaline laced ride! From start to finish the heart pounding action doesn't let up until all the shadows are exposed. But how do you fight when your mind is where they start attacking? When the shadows play deadly games just beyond your reach?
It was so fun to get a glimpse at all the Weston siblings again. And I really enjoyed getting to know Robert better. The way Jerusha Agen takes the reader into his mind and viewpoint made the book fly by like watching a movie play. The details of the story jumped off the pages.
The string of constant faith Monty shows throughout the story was very uplifting. The every day reminders of who God is and how He cares are a balm to anyone facing similar situations and struggles. It didn't feel forced but a natural part of the story and Monty's life. And there is enough romance to get the reader's heart beating for a different reason.
The fast paced action and constant shoulder checking for the next attack kept the pages flying by. I could feel Robert's frustration and fear of losing his mind. I highly recommend this new addition to the Weston stories. But be ready to stay up late to get through it. You won't want to put it down! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Watched, by Jerusha Agen, is the third book in the Windy City Westons series. This story does follow after the previous ones in the series, so it is best to read them in order. This is a fast-paced story that has constant action, suspense and mystery. Robert is facing legal action due to a patient's suicide attempt and has been assigned to Monty as his attorney. Unfortunately, they did not have a great experience the one time they met before yet are determined to make this work. But someone is out to stop them and will stop at nothing.

I really enjoyed this story. It is so well written it pulled me in immediately and kept my attention through the entire story. I enjoy how close Monty is to her family and how quick they are to respond to her needs. I like how she and her sibling work so well together and also live with or close to each other. I especially enjoy the Weston siblings and how they are there for each other. I appreciate how Monty is so strong in her faith that she refuses a relationship with Robert and is honest with him about why. This story has so many twist and turns that is keep me reading to find out who was after them and why.

I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book, this is my honest review.

Robert is a very intelligent man whose brain power is all important to him. But the story starts with him starting to question if he is losing his mind. Imagine if you suddenly seem to lose your memory and do things completely out of character? Add in a malpractice suit and a new attorney hired by your malpractice insurance that you once caused her to lose a case. Can she still overlook that and defend you (especially since you are innocent)? How do you cope?
Then let's look at the attorney, Monty. She isn't sure she wants the case but then it turns out the opposing counselor is her ex-finance. That makes her think she needs to take it as she thinks she can win. But as a Christian, she is questioning her motives - this can't just be retribution against her ex. She must believe it is what God is leading her to do.
There is so much to this story and all the supporting characters that show God's power and presence in unexpected ways. Not all the characters are who they seem to be nor are they all believers. This is a very real-life story, and you will get to a point where you cannot stop reading it!
I am privileged to be a member of the launch team, and I received a free copy of this wonderful story.

Wow, what an amazing Christian Fiction - psychological thriller!

This was my first read by Jerusha Agen and it will not be the last one for sure. Watched is book three is her Windy City Westons series and although I did not read the other two in this series, I did not feel like I was missing important details. So this does work as a stand alone, if you read it out of order like I did.

Imagine what it most be like, having a brilliant mind and it's starting to fail. Robert Weston a genius who's life's work is helping others as a psychologist and now being sued for malpractice, is starting to lose "his mind". He is being tormented at every turn and the only person able to help is the attorney, Monty, who despises him for a case that happened prior.

Monty agrees to help Robert since she believes he is innocent of the charges but when he blows off meetings, she begins to wonder... Now Monty is facing her own dilemma, Represent Robert in the malpractice case or lose her life? What choice does she really have?

This was a fantastic read that had you wanting to read and never stop or at least pause when your eyes can't read another word. It will keep you guessing through all the twists and turns and leaving you thinking....I didn't see that one coming!

Watched is very intriguing! I was glued to the story from page one! I wasn't sure how I'd like a story of someone potentially thinking they're losing their mind, but I could not put it down. "Robert Weston became a psychiatrist to heal people’s minds", but when his mind starts playing tricks on him he doesn't know what is going on.

Attorney Monty Montgomery is not a fan of Dr Robert Weston as his testimony in a previous case causes her to lose the case. After careful consideration she agrees to take his case. Now both of them are targets. Between psychological issues putting Robert in danger and murder threats on Monty's life, they try to figure out who is after them from his malpractice case. Their supportive families are trying to help them figure it out and offer protection.

I honestly had no idea who the culprit or culprits was/were until the very end. Excellent writing by author Jerusha Agen. I really enjoyed this inspirational romantic suspense.

Fans of inspirational romantic suspense will love it!

Thank you to the author for allowing me to read an early copy. All opinions are my own.

Robert Weston has a lot going for him, a great mind ,a good practice, what more does he need? Until he has a lawsuit thrown at him, his business partner ready to dissolve the practice they share, and the fear that he is losing his mind. When his insurance company recommends a lawyer named Monty Montgomery, who has trust issues along with a history with the opposing attorney , things get interesting quick. I enjoy books like this that keeps you guessing until the end, especially when the author gives you a plethora of suspects. It could be any of them or none at all. Will Monty be able to win Robert's case, or will he lose his mind before going to court? Or will Monty not take the case after the multiple threats on her life? I loved how everything comes to light the further into the book that you get. While this book could be read as a stand alone, you will get more out of the story if you read this series in order. I will be anxiously awaiting the next book. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author but was not required to leave a positive review. All opinions are what I thought of the story.

Jerusha Agen has a talent for weaving romance and suspense together and keeping you turning pages well into the night. I picked this up on a Saturday afternoon and read it straight through. It had me pulled in from the beginning and never let go.

This is such an interesting story full of psychological twists and legal acrobatics as Robert and Monty put their past differences aside to work together to prove Robert's innocence. I love that there is a great cast of characters that includes Monty's family. It adds a whole other element to it kind of like what I loved about shows like Blue Bloods where the family was at the heart of the different stories.

I have not yet read the others in this series but I was not lost. The author does a phenomenal job of making sure that if you have read them all you get the best of the family element running through it and if you are picking it up as a standalone you just enjoy the ride and getting to know everyone.

I found this to be a refreshingly different story and I love the cerebral element to it. It is intelligent, fast paced, engaging and a pulse pounding thriller all in one. I cannot wait to pick up the others from this series!

Very insightful story. Dr. Robert Weston is supposedly the smartest, brightest psychiatrist in his field, according to himself. Then why is he being sued for malpractice? Monty Montgomery has been retained as his attorney and things start going crazy. Robert experiences things and voices that make him think he has dementia like his grandfather, but he's way too young. Only twenty-nine. Monty has met Robert before when he testified on one of her cases and she's not a fan. Things start to get interesting for her when assaulted numerous times, threatened, pushed over a railing and she and Robert shot at. Add in the ex-finance' as the opposing attorney and you've got a great read. Trying to figure out who and why someone is harassing them, leaves very little time for the case. Page turner until the end as emotions start to heat up between the two but she won't date a non-Christian and Robert is very against Christianity. See if he changes his mind. I was given an advance copy by the author, but these are my own thoughts and words.

Watched by Jerusha Agen is a perfect blend of romance and suspense. I carried my Kindle all over the house because I did not want to miss a minute of this novel. Agen had me fully engaged with the mind games, a myriad of suspects, and an emotional faith thread. I thoroughly enjoyed the interactions of Robert and Monty along with their close sets of siblings – such a wonderful cast of characters. With so many things keeping them apart – faith, past hurts, and attorney/client relationship – how will they ever get together? There were so many villainous characters that I couldn’t decide who the culprit was. Agen really knows how to write an unlikable character!!

I am invested in the Windy City Westons series and look forward to books about the remaining siblings. Although this is book 3 in the series, it would be read as a stand-alone without being lost. You will want to read the first two books, however, so as not to miss a minute of the excitement and sweetness.

Getting a new book from Jerusha Agen is like Christmas morning; I can't wait to open it and see what adventure awaits. Watched does not disappoint. Watched is the third book in the Windy City Weston Series. Robert Weston is the brother that is a psychiatrist: brilliant, organized, and dependable. He is unjustly being accused of malpractice, being represented by the one lawyer that has a grudge against him, and now strange things keep occurring. Is he losing his mind? The one thing he has always depended on. This book will draw you in from page one, and you will not be able to put it down.
I have loved mysteries my whole life, and Jerusha always surprises me in her books. Watched is no exception. You will love the excitement, the intrigue, the romance, and most importantly the encouragement that the Lord is the ONLY ONE we can ALWAYS depend on. He is faithful no matter what difficult times may come. You will absolutely love Robert Weston's story in Watched. I was provided and advanced reader copy (ARC) with no obligation to leave a favorable review.

Watched is a fantastic mystery. Robert has prided himself on being the smartest in the room, able to read everyone and be three steps ahead. But lately it seems his brilliant mind maybe slipping. Is genetics catching up to him or is he slowly losing his mind? And timing couldn't be worse. Facing a malpractice lawsuit and his attorney is the one person who hates him.

Robert is the reason Monty lost her case a year ago. She is not his biggest fan. But she believes in justice and thinks he is being wrongly accused. Can she set aside her dislike and trust him enough to represent him?

Jerusha Agen is a master at suspense. Guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing at each turn! Watched is the 3rd book in the Windy City Westons Series. This standalone books are an interconnected sibling group. You can read them indignantly, but why miss out on her brilliance!

I received an ARC to read and review. My opinions are my own and I will share an honest review.

This book I believe is one of the best Christian suspense books I've read. So much anticipation from the beginning. Jerusha dives right into the mystery in chapter 1. Robert is a strong and intelligent man. Great at his job. It's not long before weird things begin to happen to him to make him think he's losing his mind. As you read you start to wonder, is he really losing his mind or is it something else. And you wonder how God is going to reach this man who thinks God doesn't exist because he can't see Him. But God can redeem anyone. Just takes some people longer than others. Some fall hard and some don't need that hard fall. Then his lawyer starts getting threats about his case. It's a journey of figuring out who wants the case to settle so badly that they try to kill both Robert and Monty.  This book is a mouth dropping, gasping at the events, page turner kind of story that you just can't put down.

You need to read this book ~ it’s a fantastic exploration of the fragility of the mind!

Watched demonstrates author Jerusha Agen’s mastery of creating unsettling and compelling narratives using gaslighting as a powerful psychological tool. She introduces us to Dr. Robert Weston, a psychiatrist accused of negligence and invites us into the panic as his perception of reality is manipulated and doubt sets in.

I couldn’t figure out who the expert at undermining memory was, but knew that they were adept at slowly eroding self-trust and I really wanted Weston to regain his cognitive confidence and the perpetrator caught.

Like Weston, I began by dismissing events but Agen had me experiencing the confusion alongside Weton and soon his frantic thoughts were adding to my increasing tension.

This is a thrillride and a fantastic read. Don’t miss a chance to hang out with the Westons in the windy city.

Creepy mind games, great tension, and non-stop suspense! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️

Jerusha Agen does it again with Watched! This is the third book in the Windy City Westons series.
If you like creepy psychological mind game stories, you need to add this to your TBR list. The story follows a defense attorney and a psychiatrist who have a bad professional history but are forced to team up when someone starts targeting them. Because of the psychological twists and a failing mind, you honestly don't know what is real and what is a trick until the very end.
It definitely reads like a thriller and kept me up way too late turning pages. Highly recommend if you love clean, gripping Christian suspense!

Another great read in the Windy City Westons. This one was fascinating as I read about Robert Weston, a psychiatrist who is experiencing memory issues that push his practice to the limit. His attorney, Monty Montgomery, is drawn into his malpractice suit and becomes more involved than she could have imagined.

The main characters are strong-willed, determined, and have close family ties. Even these traits aren't enough when they find themselves targets. The story is about revenge and lies, with faith intertwined throughout. There are lots of edge-of-your-seat moments and non-stop action. The ending wrapped up everything nicely.

I can't wait to read the next in the series.

Another great book by Jerusha Agen. Robert Weston, a psychiatrist who fears he’s losing his cognitive abilities. Monty Montgomery, Robert’s attorney, who initially didn’t like Dr. Weston, but she still agreed to represent him in his malpractice suit. Both of them are smart, strong willed, analytical people, but share a similar sense of humor, a shared desire to help those who need it, and are facing threats from what feels like all sides. The story keeps you spell bound. I loved the twists and turns, the surprising people causing all the problems for Robert and Monty. I can’t wait for the next one. Find a comfortable place to read because you’re not going to want to put this book down! Jerusha’s newest story in the Windy City Westons has the perfect blend of psychological and physical suspense, increasing danger, and just a little slow burn romance. I loved the fact that I was coming up with many thoughts on who was behind the danger that just kept escalating, but she kept me guessing all the way to the end! Well written with a strong faith thread that never gets preachy, believable characters, and a fast paced plot that grabs ahold of you, keeping you turning the pages. The very first part of Watched had me classifying it as a disturbing psychological thriller, but then author Jerusha Agen added action, suspense, mystery, and romance to create an absolutely amazing Christian romantic suspense read. The characters are fully developed and interesting. The plot has numerous twists and turns that will have readers wanting "to read just one more chapter." Ah, the lies we readers tell ourselves! I especially enjoyed the closeness of the Montgomery family and the faith that was central to their lives. There is a very satisfying conclusion to the mystery and a great HEA for Monty and Robert. I highly recommend Watched to readers who enjoy clean romantic suspense.

Okay, WOW. Watched was such a fast-paced read! Jerusha Agen had me questioning what was happening right along with Robert, and the more things started going wrong, the harder it was to put this one down. There was so much tension around what he was experiencing and whether he could even trust himself, and I was completely pulled into it.

I also really enjoyed Robert and Monty together, especially with how little Monty trusts him in the beginning. Let's just say Robert doesn't exactly make the best first impression. Watching everything slowly unravel around them kept me hooked, and THAT ENDING?! I was not expecting it. Such a good addition to the Windy City Westons series!

The third in the Windy City Weston series by Jerusha Agen, Watched, is the story of Robert Weston’s fight against a malpractice suit.

Robert became a psychiatrist to help people, but he’s becoming forgetful, confused, hearing voices. He’s afraid he won’t be able to hide it much longer, along with the malpractice suite his life is in a turmoil.

Monty Montgomery, the lawyer the insurance company hired to defend Robert, is targeted and threatened if she continues to defend Robert.

Jerusha always brings a compelling story with complex characters. I’ve read every books she’s written and am never disappointed.

I received this book from the publisher and was not required to leave a review. The opinion is my own.

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!! This book, by Jerusha Agen, WAS SOOOO GOOD!! Can I give a book 10+ stars??! 😆. Seriously though, I absolutely adored this book from start to finish. I'm truly excited about this one. The action and suspense -- it just wouldn't let me put it down. In truth, Watched honestly had me either in stitches of laughter or total and complete seriousness from chapter to chapter. The twists and turns were so very well-planned that the intrigue and mystery angles dragged me in willingly from each and every page. I truly give this book 5 out of 5 stars and I'm anxiously awaiting the next book of the series!! I received an Advance Readers Copy of Watched, from the Author. All opinions are my own .

I am not good at writing reviews, which is why I just read what others have written. I do have to say, however, that I have read all of Jerusha's books and given them the five stars they deserve.

I am usually pretty good as figuring out who the villain is before the end, but I never guessed who the person gaslighting Robert was, or the one trying to kill Monty.

I look forward to the next book, and hope there is a wedding or two in it.

Jerusha Agen’s Watched delivers a tense, psychologically driven suspense story that stands out because of its unique focus on the mind—how it protects us, betrays us, and shapes the dangers we face. Robert’s unraveling memory and confusion create a deeply personal kind of suspense: the terror of not being able to trust your own thoughts.

The plot escalates quickly. The suspense is tight, the stakes are high, and the danger feels constant.

Overall, Watched is a gripping, twist‑heavy romantic suspense novel with strong character development and a unique psychological edge. Fans of Christian suspense will appreciate its blend of danger, emotional depth, and faith‑centered hope.

This story is full of twists and turns. It keeps you guessing until the end. I absolutely love the characters in the Windy Westons series. Each brother or sister has their own personality and they have their individual issues in each book. Robert and Monty's relationship develops throughout the story. As the case against Robert is unraveled the pressure and threats increase until the final scenes.
Jerusha just gets better in her storytelling and the action in each book. Can't wait until the next one!
