You need to read this book ~ it’s a fantastic exploration of the fragility of the mind!
Watched demonstrates author Jerusha Agen’s mastery of creating unsettling and compelling narratives using gaslighting as a powerful psychological tool. She introduces us to Dr. Robert Weston, a psychiatrist accused of negligence and invites us into the panic as his perception of reality is manipulated and doubt sets in.
I couldn’t figure out who the expert at undermining memory was, but knew that they were adept at slowly eroding self-trust and I really wanted Weston to regain his cognitive confidence and the perpetrator caught.
Like Weston, I began by dismissing events but Agen had me experiencing the confusion alongside Weton and soon his frantic thoughts were adding to my increasing tension.
This is a thrillride and a fantastic read. Don’t miss a chance to hang out with the Westons in the windy city.

When a villain hits a psychiatrist with mind games, that's pretty twisted. Robert Weston is very precise and organized. When he starts finding things in his home out of place, he questions his mental health. Does he have memory issues like his grandfather? Is it something else? Meanwhile, he has patients needing and benefiting from his assistance. Unfortunately not all patients have a successful ending and Dr Weston is being sued following the suicide of a patient. His attorney is Monty Montgomery. Monty initially has to work to keep an unbiased opinion due to a court case in which Dr Weston testified against her client.
Lots of action in the pages. I look forward to the next in the series.

Again, longing for infinite stars!
Jerusha Agen writes with passion about the human condition and clearly points to hope in God and His salvation—all without being condescending or preachy. Her writing is master class.
Ever hear the saying “of all the things I miss, I miss my mind the most?” That’s what she’s putting Robert Weston through and it’s both chilling and a bit frightening. The realism is there and I really felt and related to his trauma and self doubt.
When your heart has been shattered and trust is broken, well, that’s its own special kind of trauma. So when attorney Monty Montgomery agrees to take Robert on as a client in his malpractice lawsuit she instantly tries to distance herself from any and all emotional connection.
There’s so much going on in this book! And it fits together perfectly. I truly don’t know how she does it. If I can tell you one thing about the intensity of her stories, it’s this:
She makes it SO HARD to resist turning to the end to make sure everyone turns out all right and to see who’s behind it all! SO. VERY. HARD!

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!! This book, by Jerusha Agen, WAS SOOOO GOOD!! Can I give a book 10+ stars??! 😆. Seriously though, I absolutely adored this book from start to finish. I'm truly excited about this one. The action and suspense -- it just wouldn't let me put it down. In truth, Watched honestly had me either in stitches of laughter or total and complete seriousness from chapter to chapter. The twists and turns were so very well-planned that the intrigue and mystery angles dragged me in willingly from each and every page. I truly give this book 5 out of 5 stars and I'm anxiously awaiting the next book of the series!! I received an Advance Readers Copy of Watched, from the Author. All opinions are my own .

What would it take to make you doubt your own mind?
Jerusha Agen makes that possibility frighteningly believable in Watched. I cared about Robert, and watching someone exploit his vulnerability made me angry for him. Every new uncertainty gave me another reason to keep reading.
I so greatly appreciate the attention Jerusha gives to the conversations. Teasing brings warmth into frightening circumstances. Small gestures reveal affection, and difficult exchanges expose convictions that have consequences. Robert and Monty’s intelligence makes their work together interesting, while their uncertainty keeps me questioning their conclusions. Being perceptive does not make either of them immune to deception.
He doesn’t know You yet, Father” expresses so much of what I love about this story. Monty cares deeply about Robert and longs for his salvation. Her willingness to obey God while facing the possibility of losing a relationship she wants is so authentic. Her concern for his soul is so real I can feel it, and she understands that changing his heart belongs to God … only God.
Jesus Christ is clearly named as Savior. Repentance and faith are explained, with the necessity of both being authentic made clear. Scripture guides decisions. I so deeply appreciate the seriousness Jerusha gives these truths and the tenderness with which people speak them to someone they love. These are the stories I long to read and share with everyone.
The discussion about fear made me examine myself, too. I know how easily taking sensible precautions can become trying to control every outcome. Monty’s struggle to live by what she believes is familiar to me. Conviction can be easier to express than to practice.
I love having this much Christian depth in a story whose danger feels so personal. As I have come to expect from this talented and gifted author, Jerusha gives me people to care about and spiritual concerns worth pausing over… truths that impact me personally. The longing for Robert to know Jesus makes me consider the urgency of my own prayers for those I love.

Very insightful story. Dr. Robert Weston is supposedly the smartest, brightest psychiatrist in his field, according to himself. Then why is he being sued for malpractice? Monty Montgomery has been retained as his attorney and things start going crazy. Robert experiences things and voices that make him think he has dementia like his grandfather, but he's way too young. Only twenty-nine. Monty has met Robert before when he testified on one of her cases and she's not a fan. Things start to get interesting for her when assaulted numerous times, threatened, pushed over a railing and she and Robert shot at. Add in the ex-finance' as the opposing attorney and you've got a great read. Trying to figure out who and why someone is harassing them, leaves very little time for the case. Page turner until the end as emotions start to heat up between the two but she won't date a non-Christian and Robert is very against Christianity. See if he changes his mind. I was given an advance copy by the author, but these are my own thoughts and words.

If you like creepy psychological mind game stories, you need to add this to your TBR list. The story follows a defense attorney and a psychiatrist who have a bad professional history but are forced to team up when someone starts targeting them. Because of the psychological twists and a failing mind, you honestly don't know what is real and what is a trick until the very end.
It definitely reads like a thriller and kept me up way too late turning pages. Highly recommend if you love clean, gripping Christian suspense!

The main characters are strong-willed, determined, and have close family ties. Even these traits aren't enough when they find themselves targets. The story is about revenge and lies, with faith intertwined throughout. There are lots of edge-of-your-seat moments and non-stop action. The ending wrapped up everything nicely.

This book offers a cleverly written page-turner that is intricately plotted in a way that drew me into the story right away. Robert’s story is a compelling one of threats, lost self-confidence and finding love in a most unlikely place. Robert is a talented psychiatrist who has incredible intelligence and insight into the minds of others and why they act as they do. What he does not have in this novel is the ability to discern what is happening to him when he begins forgetting things. Rather than search for a cause, he immediately assumes that he is beginning to show the same signs of dementia as his grandfather and is overwhelmed at times with self-pity. He is currently being sued for malpractice when one of his patients attempted suicide and is in a prolonged coma. His attorney, Monty Montgomery, is talented, self-confident and takes no prisoners in her quest for justice. It helps that her opponent is her former fiancé named Edmund whom she found less than trustworthy and totally unreliable. Robert and Monty work well together when he is not forgetting to show up and embarrassing her. The family dynamics in this novel are noteworthy, both for Robert and Monty. I really liked getting to know Monty’s sisters and her very protective brother Corey. Her life is threatened because of taking Robert’s case and Robert is feeling increasingly unsure of his own abilities since he keeps doing things that are out the ordinary for him. The twists are numerous as are the red herrings, and the main characters are lovable and easy to cheer for. I was totally unprepared for the great reveal of who the culprits were. I enjoyed the guessing game but I was wrong each time, much to my great pleasure as I kept guessing and reading. Neither was I prepared for the heart-pounding, edge-of-my-seat climax that had me holding my breath and wondering how it would all turn out. This book is unputdownable, with a strong faith foundation and an equally strong message of hope and encouragement to begin a relationship with the Lord. This is a fantastic and compelling story with masterfully written characterizations and edgy suspense.

Some books just stick with you and blow your mind, WATCHED did that for me!!
It was simply amazing and hard to put into words just how much I love this whole series. Watched is Robert’s story, one of the Weston siblings. He’s a psychiatrist in a family of doctors. He’s one of older siblings. I knew from the previous books, Robert was gonna be one of my favorite characters. So glad he got his own book & boy was it something special. I felt for him when he was under attack. Monty, his lawyer in a case against negligence in a medical malpractice lawsuit. They keep finding theirselves in trouble and danger at every turn. Someone wants both of them dead with Robert’s mind having memory problems and Monty to not take Robert’s case. I loved how Jerusha shares the gospel in every one of her books as well. She never shied away from truth and justice. I could go on and on. I highly recommend The Windy City Westons

Okay, WOW. Watched was such a fast-paced read! Jerusha Agen had me questioning what was happening right along with Robert, and the more things started going wrong, the harder it was to put this one down. There was so much tension around what he was experiencing and whether he could even trust himself, and I was completely pulled into it.
I also really enjoyed Robert and Monty together, especially with how little Monty trusts him in the beginning. Let's just say Robert doesn't exactly make the best first impression. Watching everything slowly unravel around them kept me hooked, and THAT ENDING?! I was not expecting it. Such a good addition to the Windy City Westons series!

Watched, by Jerusha Agen, is the third book in the Windy City Westons series. This story does follow after the previous ones in the series, so it is best to read them in order. This is a fast-paced story that has constant action, suspense and mystery. Robert is facing legal action due to a patient's suicide attempt and has been assigned to Monty as his attorney. Unfortunately, they did not have a great experience the one time they met before yet are determined to make this work. But someone is out to stop them and will stop at nothing.
I really enjoyed this story. It is so well written it pulled me in immediately and kept my attention through the entire story. I enjoy how close Monty is to her family and how quick they are to respond to her needs. I like how she and her sibling work so well together and also live with or close to each other. I especially enjoy the Weston siblings and how they are there for each other. I appreciate how Monty is so strong in her faith that she refuses a relationship with Robert and is honest with him about why. Oh my goodness, another awesome book by Jerusha Agen! I have been loving her Christian romantic suspense series, Windy City Westons, a series where each book focuses on one of five siblings. And finally it was time to read about Robert. Like the other books in the series it is dual point of view, so we get to see the story from the FMC's POV too. Monty Montgomery is also part of a family with several siblings (and I have to say, I'm sort of hoping the author will write a series for these siblings as well, because I loved getting to know them along with the Weston family siblings).
Robert Weston is a psychiatrist who is very proud of his mental capabilities and his job of being able to help others. However, he is currently the defendant in a medical malpractice suit because one of his clients tried to commit suicide. Additionally, he is suddenly questioning his own mental faculties because of little things that are happening that he doesn't remember doing, appointments he's missing or late to, among other things.
Monty is the attorney who is representing him, though at first she wishes she didn't have to, seeing as she can't stand him. Also, due to a past failed relationship, she is also unsure if she can trust him, especially when he keeps doing weird things. When it seems like they might be getting closer, obstacles keep appearing. Of course, it also doesn't help that Robert is not a Christian while Monty is.
Of course, this is a romantic SUSPENSE book, so of course there is suspense, and plenty of it. Not only do strange things keep happening to Robert, which as a reader I figured couldn't be what he was afraid of, but Monty starts getting threats because she is representing him. Threats that continue to escalate as the story progresses. I mean, I was already drawn in and invested in this book because of Robert being falsely accused of malpractice, but the danger and twists kept me glued to the book, zinging through the pages.
One of the biggest questions was whether the weird things happening to Robert were being committed by the same person who was threatening Monty. Were they connected or not? There were so many suspects, some that seemed a lot more likely than others. I was definitely surprised by the reveal.
As with her previous books, the author has written a book where faith is very important in the characters' lives. We see how Monty leans on the Lord, though, I appreciate that we see, that yes, she is human, and has struggles. With Monty, I was hoping that Robert would learn that their is a mind that he needed to rely on that was way more powerful than his.
I was definitely invested in this book and these characters' lives. I loved getting to see the siblings from both families, and get an update on the main characters from the first two books. And I can not wait to read Treese's story in book four.

With Monty, I was hoping that Robert would learn that their is a mind that he needed to rely on that was way more powerful than his.
I was definitely invested in this book and these characters' lives. I loved getting to see the siblings from both families, and get an update on the main characters from the first two books. And I can not wait to read Treese's story in book four.

Watched is an amazing psychological story that definitely keeps you on edge.
Dr. Robert Weston is a psychiatrist who only wants to help people with healing their minds. But with the occurrences of forgetfulness and confusion that's happening he may not be able to do that much longer. Then when his psychological issues start putting his life in danger, he must face the reality that he may have inherited a genetic mental illness that threatens to cripple him.

Watched is book 3 of the "Windy City Westons" series, and really packs a punch! Let me tell you, it kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. I didn't want to put it down once I began reading.
I like that Monty sticks to her faith convictions in spite of her attraction to Robert, who is not a Christian. But Robert is a genuinely caring person, who cares about his clients, even when faced with a malpractice law suite.
The suspense of who is targeting Monty and Robert is palpable, and keeps you guessing until the end. If you enjoy suspense, Watched has it. If descriptions of assault might be triggering, be aware. Some scenes will leave you breathless (almost literally).
Other scenes will have you laughing. I love the banter among the siblings, both Robert's and Monty's.
If you enjoy Christian romantic suspense, I highly recommend Watched. While you're at it, check out the rest of the series.

Watched is the third book in the "Windy city Westons" series. Watched, like the previous two books was an absolutely gripping story from start to finish! Jerusha Agen writes stories that touch your heart and brings hope through faith and the Lords salvation. Robert Weston, the oldest son of the siblings. He is a very knowledgeable and astute psychiatrist. Robert is facing a malpractice suit due to one of his patients committing suicide. The story begins with little things keep happening that he is starting to think he is losing his mind like his grandfather, who had alzheimers Robert is scared to death when things keep happening. Someone took his greatest fear and is trying to use it against him.
Then he finds out Monty Montgomery is his counsel in his malpractice suit. Robert thinks she is the one attorney who actually hates him. He was called upon to testify in one of her cases and it didnt end well. He hopes they can make this work.
Monty Montgomery isn't sure if she wants the case but she agrees even though her ex fiance is the opposing counsel.
They both agree to try. Someone doesn't want them going to trial. They seem to be willing to do almost anything even murder to stop them.
While Monty and Robert get to know each other in between attacks. Robert keeps getting worse forgetting appointments, leaving things out, running out of gas which is a,complete opposite of his personality.
I really enjoyed this story it grabbed me by the throat from the beginning and wouldn't let go til the end of the book! I loved it!!

Get ready for an adrenaline laced ride! From start to finish the heart pounding action doesn't let up until all the shadows are exposed. But how do you fight when your mind is where they start attacking? When the shadows play deadly games just beyond your reach?
It was so fun to get a glimpse at all the Weston siblings again. And I really enjoyed getting to know Robert better. The way Jerusha Agen takes the reader into his mind and viewpoint made the book fly by like watching a movie play. The details of the story jumped off the pages.

It didn't feel forced but a natural part of the story and Monty's life. And there is enough romance to get the reader's heart beating for a different reason.

The author continues to exceed my expectations with each new book she writes. I was absolutely wrapped up in this suspenseful story and couldn’t put it down. I never saw the real perpetrators coming and was completely surprised by their twisted thinking and unexpected actions. Robert was so sweet, and it made me feel so sad that he had people coming after him and Monty. As usual, the Westons were fun, and the Montgomery family was delightful. I would love to see them in future books! While there were plenty of dangerous situations, there was also witty banter and sweet family moments that made the story more enjoyable and relatable. I appreciated the author’s focus on God and His trustworthiness throughout the book and was encouraged by the truths mentioned. I highly recommend this book, and I am looking forward to reading the next one!

This book I believe is one of the best Christian suspense books I've read. So much anticipation from the beginning. Jerusha dives right into the mystery in chapter 1. Robert is a strong and intelligent man. Great at his job. It's not long before weird things begin to happen to him to make him think he's losing his mind. As you read you start to wonder, is he really losing his mind or is it something else. And you wonder how God is going to reach this man who thinks God doesn't exist because he can't see Him. But God can redeem anyone. Just takes some people longer than others. Some fall hard and some don't need that hard fall. Then his lawyer starts getting threats about his case. It's a journey of figuring out who wants the case to settle so badly that they try to kill both Robert and Monty. This book is a mouth dropping, gasping at the events, page turner kind of story that you just can't put down.

Wow! Jerusha did it again. She wrote an insanely phenomenal book. This book had so many levels of mystery I didn’t want to put it down. I had to keep reading to find out what happened next. The characters are amazing. I already loved the Weston family then she brings along this incredible family, the Montgomery family, that do everything as unto the Lord. It is beautiful to watch a family that loves each other so well because of the love they have for Jesus! This is an intensely suspenseful story with amazingly beautiful truths. This book will definitely be used as a tool to show that Jesus is real and what a relationship with Him looks like. I loved every page! This is definitely a book worth reading!

Jerusha Agen has a talent for weaving romance and suspense together and keeping you turning pages well into the night. I picked this up on a Saturday afternoon and read it straight through. It had me pulled in from the beginning and never let go.
This is such an interesting story full of psychological twists and legal acrobatics as Robert and Monty put their past differences aside to work together to prove Robert's innocence. I love that there is a great cast of characters that includes Monty's family. It adds a whole other element to it kind of like what I loved about shows like Blue Bloods where the family was at the heart of the different stories.
I have not yet read the others in this series but I was not lost. The author does a phenomenal job of making sure that if you have read them all you get the best of the family element running through it and if you are picking it up as a standalone you just enjoy the ride and getting to know everyone.

Watched is the third book in the Windy City Weston series. It is page gripping story from the first page. There is many facets within this book and it grabs you from the first page. You have Monty and Robert 's previous encounter, Robert's malpractice suit and Robert's health fear. I loved the faith and family portrayed throughout the whole Montgomery family. I also loved the family interactions within the Weston family and the Montgomery family. This is very suspenseful and one you can't put down.
