This is a nice idea, and I thought it was fun, but I wanted to be sure kids would like it. So I showed it to my nieces (8 and 11). They were not interested. The 11-year-old said she thought that the concept would work better if it wasn’t geared toward Advent, because as she put it, “Advent calendars should make you really excited each day”. The book is just too dry for her to get excited about it.
