Ram runs the Great Lakes Rebels with an iron family first, no exceptions. So when his granddaughter Alana is handed over to a rival club by her own father, that code is shattered and Ram is forced to accept help from the one person he never expected to need.
Lulu has spent years at the edges of Ram's world, quietly watching and waiting. As Alana's best friend, she drops everything to track her down. Stopping at nothing to find her best friend before it's too late.
Lulu has loved Ram in silence for years, but his stubborn pride and refusal to admit his feelings push her to the breaking point. When she decides to go after Alana alone, she pays a brutal price; hurt, betrayed, and left for dead. It took Ram too long to locate Lulu, but when he did, he realized the error of his ways. Now the fight is not only for Alana's safety, but for the chance of forgiveness.
Wow, just wow! I picked up Ram expecting a typical biker romance but what I got was so much more. This book is a raw and emotional journey! The MMC, Ram, is everything you could want from a main character. He's the tough, protective president of a motorcycle club but he's also a single father trying to do right by his family. It is also something I love to see.. that softer, fiercely loyal side to a biker character. You can't help but root for him through all the chaos life throws his way. The women in the story are wonderfully written too, strong, relatable and they feel like real people you'd want on your side. J. Pavey has built a world that feels incredibly real. The "Great Lakes Rebels" aren't just a club but a family with a strict set of rules and a deep sense of loyalty. Everything you like in a MC romance! The story is packed with suspense, action and moments that genuinely pull at your heartstrings. It’s an absolute rollercoaster of emotions that keeps you turning the pages and from turning off the light to sleep. If you're looking for a gritty biker romance with loads of heart and characters you'll fall in love with, then you have to read this book. Be sure to check the content warnings though as it is a dark romance that deals with some heavy themes. I was completely invested from start to finish. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series!
Thank you J. Pavey for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. That being said, all opinions are my own.
I read the content and trigger warnings and thought I was prepared. Ripped my heart out by page 16! Majority of the time I expected Ram to freak out or just go off the wall crazy, he just didn't. I already had my suspicion of Dagger when he was put on protection duty. Called it! At first, I thought Ram was a huge hypocrite and I did not like him much, but he grows on ya. The only thing that was weird for me throughout the entire story was how big the age gap was between Lulu and Ram. Don't get me wrong, I love age gaps, but this one seemed different somehow. The amount of time Alana was gone was mind-blowing to me. It was a bit challenging to wrap my head around how much time was passing. About 70-75% through the book there were more noticeable typos that had me going back to read certain parts again, but it was not a huge deal in that department. That all being said, this story captured my attention and held it until the very end, and even after.

This was an okay read for me, it started off strong and it pulled me in right away and you felt for the mmc Ram and everything he was going through but as the story progressed that's where it began losing me as the story is very fast paced and jumps timelines so you have to pay attention. Some characters were a bit confusing and just seemed to not make sense on how they got where they were. Ram is definitely a strong mmc but the romance age gap storyline between him and Lulu really lost me and gave me the ick factor at times which was hard for me to get past. You never really understand what happened to his granddaughter after she was taken and it took years to find and retrieve her that it just seemed to drag out too long and ends pretty abruptly, I would have like a bit more information along the way but what I got out of this story was more of the unlikely love story between Ram and Lulu. While there was a uniqueness and grit to this story and most probably would enjoy it, this just didn't resonate with me.
This book pulled me deep into the world of biker gangs, revenge, and unbreakable bonds. It follows a gang leader whose wife is murdered when pregnant, leaving him to raise their daughter alone. The raw, violent actions taken by him to protect his loved ones in the years to follow, are some of my favourite scenes! He is a complex and fascinating character. With a mix of drama, heartbreak, healing and spicy romance, this book kept me hooked until the very end, leaving me wanting more. So excited for book 7!
If you love sons of anarchy than this book is perfect. This book is definitely very fast paced and gives out a lot of information really fast so you have to pay attention. Ram is such a force to reckon with but also is such a softie for the people he cares about. He cares about his club and following the rules and keeping the brotherhood alive in his club. Lulu is someone he wasn’t expecting to have such an impact on his life but she did. This book was amazing and definitely kept you at the edge of your seat at the same time not sure where was going
This isn't a love story — it's a reckoning. Ram is pure chaos and control, an outlaw who loves like he fights: without mercy. The world's rough, the heat's filthy, and the loyalty runs blood-deep. Dark, violent, and addicted to the last page. If you love your romances raw, gritty, and full of alpha energy, Ram is going to own you from page one. I had the honor of ARC reading J Pavey’s first foray into dark romance and left me begging for more of the Great Lakes Rebels!!🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️😍
Like SOA (Son's of Anarchy) then you're gonna love RAM. It's a great MC book and follows RAM, a MC Prez who lost his wife in childbirth and he's left to raise his daughter. He'll do whatever it takes to protect his daughter and his brothers. One day Lulu walks into his life and wrecks it in the best possible way. It's a fast paced read and I enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next in the series. Thank you to the author for this copy.
Loved it!! J. Pavey knows how to make me go on an emotional rollercoaster 🎢!! my emotions were all over the place, but it was a beautiful thing.... I love everything about this book especially the friend and grandfather(maybe because I am married to an older man and I love him to pieces)... some of the things they did I was like oh yeah might have to do that😉😜.... Good job my dear friend, you did it again and I am obsessed with all your books and can't wait for more of your books to read!!
✨Arc Read✨ I had the honour of being able to Arc read Ram. The opening chapter really caught my attention and made me want to fly through this book. There may be parts where it was a bit fast paced and could of had more explanation on the certain things but overall was a great read.
I knew in chapter 1 that this book was going to sink its teeth into me! I love a good age gap and this is one of the best ones I've read! If i could give it 100 stars i would! ❤️ I fell in love with Ram and all that he stands for so fast! I highly recommend.
I got the this as an ARC read and I’m so glad I got it! I didn’t think I would be pulled in with the biker romance but wow now I’m hooked! Loved that it was fast paced and was unable to put it down! You will instantly fall in love with Ram!
This book is very fast paced. If you are looking for a sweet love story you won’t find it here. This book is a ride for vengeance. It is a rough brutal story that is very heavy. Great read
Wow!! This book kept me reading and was a Great read. I can’t wait till the best book she writes. This one has some Violence, some death, some sexy parts and some Hero parts in it. I am from Michigan and that is where her stories are written about. I like that.
I really enjoyed this book. it has some sexy, motorcycle men with some torture and violence to it. It kept me ready to find out what happens to the kidnaped women. I cannot wait for the next book to find out more. I did not want to give out too much information.
This book starts heavy right off the bat and follows Ram, the president of a motorcycle club where the club is treated more as a tight knit family. Ram is a single father that has endured tragedy and is the fierce, protective and irresistible MMC. The scenes between Ram and Lulu were spicy, hilarious and heartbreaking. I can't wait to see more in this series, it was a fantastic read!
Was lucky enough to arc read this and I was hooked from the start! It was my first motorcycle book but it’s now one of my favorites to read! You don’t want to miss this book when it comes out!!!
Fast paced, biker, age-gap, kidnapping, and so much more! You move through the years in this book very quickly so you miss some of the character building, but all in all a good read.
After reading Ram, I can say it's lighter than the books I would typically read. However, I would have liked to see more depth into Ram and Lulu's relationship. I felt as though the time skips throughout the book didn't allow for that to happen. Regardless, I still enjoyed the book and look forward to more from J. Pavey.
*Age gap *Best friends dad *Biker daddy *Forbidden love
This book is heavy. It deals with a lot of uncomfortable topics; drugs use, SA, murder etc. The reason it didn't get 4⭐️, is because the timelines in the book got confusing ar points and I lost the flow of the story.
I love me a tough FMC and Lulu is one tough badass cookie. She suffers horrendously in her lone search for her best friend but does not let that stop the bright light which is her personality dull even a bit.
