'A shot rang out. It made me jump...'

Lee Harvey Oswald, as far as the U.S. government are concerned, was the sole perpetrator involved in the assassination of JFK. Of course there are plenty of conspiracy theories surrounding this tragic event. These also, more or less, point the finger at Oswald too. But what if Oswald was completely innocent?

'How could I have been so stupid? How did I not see this coming? I ran around the corner and slowed to a walk after a couple of blocks. Was I next? Was Jack going to kill me or have me killed? Who shot the President? It must have been...'

Told in Lee's perspective, this fictional short story considers that maybe Oswald, was in fact, innocent.

Why else would he and so many others be silence so quickly afterwards?
