This was really weird. I know that Lance Lansdale’s book are always wild, but for some reason I loved the Murder Daddy series, but found these two just too much for me. While reading the Murder Daddy series I was considering going back and reading his whole catalogue, but now I don’t think so. Something about the ‘murder’ makes his books more palatable for me. 🤷🏻♀️
Also, this book is featuring a poly relationship with characters we’ve met before, but mostly focuses on Johnny and Ezra. Both are already in love with Bubba when the book starts, and are fighting over him. Bubba wants them to get along so they can be a throuple. And most of the book focuses on that, Johnny and Ezra falling in love, and sometimes I completely forgot about Bubba.

4.5 stars. Ezra is an unhinged brat pur sang, the biggest brat ever. He himself is not big but his brattiness is, he can be mean too. As the title suggests, he’s a camboy.
Bubba is a big gentle bear, he loves Ezra as he loves Johnny.
Ezra and Johnny don’t like each other. For Bubba it’s clear: to let this threesome work they have to do better.
Ezra wants to get rid of Johnny, to have Bubba for himself, not because he loves him, noooo, of course not.
Bubba, Johnny, and Ezra live with Dallas, Austin, and Clint in one house. There’s a lot of testosterone flying around. Sexuality is on full display, so much fun!
“You mean nothing to me. Don’t care if you cry about it. Don’t care if you live or die.”
Ezra’s constant denying of spoken endearments, gosh, so adorable! He’s feisty, but deep down vulnerable. When he’s upset Johnny and Bubba know some magic words that make him whimper and feel good again.
His psychic quality and readings are uhh… outstanding.
It wouldn’t be a Lance Lansdale story if there weren’t more things than the above to enjoy. Fasten your seatbelts! (and keep some tissues close by)
This author has a unique way of writing, there are awesome crazy, and silly details. Bubba and Johnny are the sweetest. The characters are unhinged and derailed but Ezra is on top of them all. You can hate or love them, but in the end, you’ll adore them.

How dare you make me laugh and sob like this!
Lance Lansdale remains an author that could never disappoint me! This books is exactly as unhinged as one would come to expect from Lance. You get lovable idiots, you get comedy, you get action, you get questionable dirty talk and you get unexpectedly hit in the solar plexus with emotions you never anticipated! TW for grief toward the end of the book. Once I made the connection between what happens on page and what happened in real life, I was sobbing uncontrollably! It became very apparent that the author poured a lot of heart and sadness into parts of this book and even though the book is still mostly unserious, it still fits somehow! I can’t wait to see what the Core 4 gets up to next! Maybe our token straight friend will turn you to be not so straight after all. Or maybe a certain sheltered brother will learn why his wife doesn’t do it for him! Fingers crossed!

When I tell you that anytime Lance releases a book, I am instantly reading it and these boys were no different! I knew from the minute we met these 3 in the last book that I NEEDED their story and what a journey it was. I snickered, swooned and felt every emotion in between. This of course has the sassy back and forth banter and the “what did I just read” moments but all woven between some very emotional back stories and the well earned relationship that Ezra, Johnny and Bubba deserved!!! I will always love a subtle nod to past characters and this book did not disappoint!!

Reviewing Lance Landsdale’s books is always difficult for me because one there is so much going on and two it’s mostly ridiculous but three also so much going on.
I know I loved this one. Might be top three of his books. I thought I would hate Ezra but he charmed his way into my heart.
Just like all of Lance’s books did with my heart.
Trust the story and go along for the ride.

More hilarity ensues in this OTT love triangle turned throuple. After Austin's crazy story, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I knew I adored Bubba. Johnny and Ezra are at each other's throats to begin with, but by the end, they're in each other's throats. hahahaha
Off topic, yet worth mentioning, there are a lot of nakie people in here and not just our main characters. It would be cool to be that free with your friends and family, but cue a lot of blushing!

Ezra, Bubba, and Johnny are the outlandish and sometimes over the top characters that are introduced in book 1 Trailer Park Twink, as side characters they were pretty rememberable, so it only makes sense that they would get their own story as well. Bubba seems to have imprinted on Ezra and is determined to make him his boy, Ezra fights is feelings for Bubba but no matter how much he fights it, deep down inside he knows that he is undoubtedly in love with him. However, this love story won’t be that simple since Bubba’s long time best friend and kinda situationship is seeking Bubbas love and attention, which puts him at odds with Ezra who is unwilling to back down. What starts as a big o war for Bubba’s heart quickly turns into something much more complex and meaningful and as equally unhinged.
There are so many things about this book that I absolutely love but the thing that really hit me hard was not the ridiculously unhinged relationship between Ezra and his oilfield murder daddies, but Ezra having to face his grief and trauma head on. His story breaks my heart and left me with my own thoughts for longer than I would care to admit. Of course Lance did a wonderful job bringing in his brand of chaotic humor and unique voice to each of his characters making them all lovable in their own way. As much as I love Bubba I really enjoyed the dynamic between Johnny and Ezra and the shenanigans that eventually bring them together. Johnny had so much growth and good for him on holding Bubba accountable for his slightly f*ck boy behavior that wound them all in a love triangle to begin with.

I received this ARC for my honest opinion. The Clairvoyant Camboy by Lance Lansdale was an emotional and fabulous read. Ezra, Bubba and Johnny's story was one that took you one a rollercoaster through their emotions and relationship. Bubba and Johnny were friends first and Bubba fell for him first. Johnny ran scared and Ezra then waltzed in. Bubba found himself falling for Ezra and Johnny came back thinking he had been replaced. Ezra and Johnny being at odds and enemies in the beginning and then you can see their relationship evolve into much more. Bubba makes them confront the childish antics they both have when they fight with each other, Ezra brings out who Johnny really is. Throughout the story you can see how much love they have for each other. They show each other they care in so many ways. They work through their own internalized issues and traumas. They also worked together to help each other through the harder things life brings. Life has a funny way of working out in the end. I thoroughly enjoy Lance's stories every time one comes out. I highly recommend reading and checking out all the stories Lance has written. I was not able to put this book down and consumed this story in a two days. I could feel the characters emotions through the story telling and being able to relate to the characters in my own way. The humanness that Lance always brings is what draws me to his stories. Make sure to read and check this one out.

I'll say this about Lance and his wonderful daddy series, suspending your notions on reality is definitely best 🤣 and I love every second of letting all those go while reading this fabulous writing! 💜
As I've said before Lance has my heart and my laugh box in a vice grip and let's it out to play while I read about these wild and hilarious daddies and their unhinged boys 🥹. I mean this was beyond what I ever thought it would be and I LIVED every second of it 😈.
Bubba, Johnny and Ezra are a wonderful respite from the mundane and yet scary world we live in right now. They are everything I wished for as a throuple and more 🫶. Bubba is the foundation, Johnny is the heart and Ezra is the soul of this dynamic and it was so beautiful (and absolutely chaotic and hilarious) to witness 😍. If you've loved Lance's work in the past, you definitely won't be disappointed with this! I can't WAIT for what else is in store for us in this universe... Hopefully some about Bubba's son Jay 👀 but I'll happily follow this road wherever Lance is willing to take us 💜.

I'm going to assume that by this point in (y)our reading journey we know what to expect from a Lance Lansdale book, yes? If not, maybe go back to his 'Househusband's guide to domestic bliss' first and then go to his first murder daddy book. Because only after those series, will you be ready for the story of Bubba, Johny and Ezra. And also because you really just need to read all of his work.
I honestly don't even have words to describe the feelings this book has forced from me. It's hilarious, chaotic and unhinged and many times you will think 'What the actual FUCK am I reading'. But then Lance always does this magical thing where he smacks you upside the head with emotions and you will cry. And you will thank him time and time again.
So, strap in (or on) for Ezra, Bubba and Johny (and all of the equally unhinged side characters) and be prepared for quite literally anything. From cum-filled balloons and communal jerk-off sessions to a heartwarming spiritual guide who makes sure everyone gets their HEA. Also, quite a few gay/bi awakenings.

In this scenario, Bubba starts to have feelings for Ezra (Austin's friend), but the dynamic between Ezra and Johnny isn't good; they're always arguing.
I adore all three of them. Bubba is an adorable giant, Johnny, oh my Johnny, I want to give him a big hug (I have a weakness for this kind of main character), and Ezra is a little wild, but hey, i love him too.
Together they are wonderful.

One thing is for sure when you read one of Lances books: you will be thoroughly entertained! When you think you’ve seen and read his characters do it all, worry not they have more unhinged things up their sleeves! This book was no exception to that: it was utterly hilarious and so freaking weird at the same time 🙏🏼 in the very best way possible! I honestly don’t know who I loved most: sweet Daddy Bubba, clueless Jonny or c*m balloon throwing twink Ezra. Together they were just everything, even if poor Ezra had to put up with the hateful slander of his perfectly average 🍆 the whole book. These boys really just embraced whatever the universe threw their way and once they realised it’s all better if they just face it together, all their haters stood no chance. Lances books are unlike any other out there and picking one up I just know I’ll have the best time! So go go go read this, before a c*m balloon is being thrown at you!

THIS AUTHOR CAPTURES YOUR ATTENTION AND MAKES YOU LOVE THEIR STORY AND CHARACTERS!

I've read the draft, and this book is just as amazing as The Trailer Park Twink! Ezra, Johnny, and Bubba's journey is as ridiculous as it is heartwarming...and HOT 🔥. It's literally laugh out loud hilarious, full of nostalgic pop culture references and outlandish antics. I'm looking at you, Ezra 🤣.
