Read All About It! by Benjamin Hall is a short but truly lovely children’s book that delivers meaningful lessons in a warm, kid-friendly way. Through simple, engaging storytelling, it teaches the importance of sharing news to help others, acting responsibly, and caring for the community around you.

I have followed the author’s work for years, including his powerful reporting in Ukraine, and it is wonderful to see him create something so thoughtful for young readers. The writing is clear and easy for children to understand, the lessons feel timeless, and the characters are genuinely charming.

This is a heartfelt, meaningful read that would be a great addition to any child’s bookshelf.

Read All About It is about a young hedgehog who wants to grow up to share the news, just like his dad. He ends up witnessing a neighbor in distress and has to figure out how he can help. We teach our kids to look for the helpers, but they also need to know they can sometimes be that helper, too! This audio would be a great accompaniment to the physical book as, based on the cover art, it probably has great art throughout. The author narrated it himself, which was a great addition. (Although less of an issue with kid's audio, I was still able to comfortably speed it up to about 1.75x.)

Overall, it’s a lovely read: sweet, meaningful, and comforting for both children and adults.

Little Hedgehog sees a baby owl in danger and goes to the rescue. He knows he's breaking some rules but he needs to get the word out. I felt an appropriate amount of suspense listening to this-- I wanted everyone to be safe. In the end, he learned it's important to do the right thing.
The voice was cute and I enjoyed the narration. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me listen to this audiobook

Thank you NetGalley for this ALC! Yay for the hedgehog being brave!!!! I loved this one. It was so cute and packed a punch. Hedgehog saves the day and there were some great lessons about following rules and helping others. Highly recommend.
Loved the audiobook, the narrator’s accent was so charming and wonderful. Loved it so much. I must track down a physical copy for my kids collection!
