The Sexy First Installment of the Hot New Adult Romance

Dylan Grant stood and looked out at the Hollywood Hills. He grinned. Wealth, power, and sex. Not a bad way to go through life , he thought to himself. Dylan Grant likes what his billions affords him. He likes getting whatever he wants. And he wants more than coffee and typed memos from his newly hired Executive Assistant.

Jessica Nichols is rather innocent and ordinary compared to the women that Dylan is used to sleeping with. But Dylan finds himself attracted to her. Jessica's appeal may be a mystery to him, but he is certain that he wants to seduce her. His timing may be perfect.

Jessica has recently moved to Los Angeles for a fresh start. It's not like her to go for bad boys, but will she end up finding a naughty side in the City of Angels?

She can't deny that Dylan Grant is handsome. Even alluring. Maybe it's his seductive dark eyes or his chiseled features. Whatever it is, Jessica is drawn like a moth to a flame.

Secret Desires is an erotic journey that will draw you in and not let go! . . .Don't miss the steamy first installment in this hot new adult romance series.

Expensive series to read

I'll be honest and say I wasn't going to read this book, I liked the synopsis but when I checked out the next book it was £2.35 or $3.60 for 74 pages which in my opinion is too much especially considering there's at least 2 more books according to Amazon but 4 more according to Goodreads, I'm not sure which is right but either way it will work out expensive.
Anyway I've read the book, it starts off a bit cheesy with lines like 'Heather was not stroking Dylan's ego. However, she had done a lot of stroking of another kind the night before' the opening scenes give you a picture of Dylan Grant, he's 28 and a sexy billionaire playboy and like the synopsis says he's and asshole.
Jessica is a different person altogether, she's temping but desperate for a permanent position so when she's offered the chance to work as Dylan's assistant she takes it. Adding another element to this book is Logan Dylan's Assistant Head of Security who Jessica meets before she starts working for Dylan and she can't deny how attracted she is to him.
This may well turn out to be a good series but I doubt it I suspect it will be like so many others just more expensive.

It sets the scene

His was an ok book. A short introduction to Jessica and Dylan's romance.
It doesn't give you much depth to the characters, in this short space of time.

But it is split into 4 parts. I'd have much preferred to just read the whole book.
It doesn't really warrant being broken down into such short chunks.

I wanted to find out what happens next, but £2.40 for 55 pages is quite steep, considering longer novels are more than half that cost.

Oksy

It was an okay book. I did not particularly like how it read. However, it does have a promising plot line.

Glad it was a free book as I didnt find this book very interesting. Storyline was boring & too short. There was no depth and the characters seemed shallow

This book is an extremely quick read that basically just introduced the characters. It's not really a book or novella at all - no character development, barely a plot, no sex (so if you are expecting a romance novel this isn't it)... If this was a part of a full length book it would be the first 3-5 chapters. While the writing is ok, there is no point to reading it unless you want to read the entire collection of "parts". And this part even hinted at a love triangle, because the main female (Jessica) was actually interested in another man (Logan) before "settling" for her boss (Dylan). It didn't grab my attention enough to make me want to read anymore ... Well, I would have kept reading if there were more chapters, but now that I have to go buy more parts, I don't see why it's worth it. (Side note - I got this part for free as an Amazon Prime member.)

Very short novella, that I don't think I will be reading the rest of the books. I can't see paying $3.00 for 66 pages in a book that's way too much for me. I wasn't really impressed with the book either. It started out hot & then went completely cold, I thought that Dylan would hit on Jessica as soon as he met her but it didn't happen until the very last page of the book. Not impressed.

This was a kindle freebie, the subsequent books in this series are between £2-3 each when I recently checked. Would I spend the money on them to get a complete story? No. The story is OK, nothing to get wildly excited about, just typical of this genre.

I feel like I wasted time reading this book, yes it was short but it was also boring and annoying. I've been generous with my rating because I did like one or two bits of the book but it was all together a complete let down.

Unfortunately this book didn't work for me. It was only 63 pages in length which wouldn't have bothered me if the story was a bit more interesting. Nothing really that good happened to make me remotely interested in reading the next part.

I stRted reading this book because the first one was free, I then continued to read the second in hope it would get better. It didn't! Lacks emotion, the characters are boring and writer does not get your attention in the sexual parts!!! Not a good read!

It was too short to even know if it's worth reading the other books of the series. Jessica just starts working for the billionaire playboy Dylan. She gets the job and they go out to dinner and then off they go to wherever. I'm not going to read the rest. It didn't pique my interest.

Short part 1 of a "series"

Characters are not well developed. Story lined is decent. Conversation between characters is lacking, not very creative, interest between characters is nil. Not written well enough to purcase a full book at $4.99.

Story didn’t flow very well, for me it felt like it was just written poorly, not an overly exciting storyline and unfortunately I wasn’t intrigued or hooked by the ending so feel no desire to continue to read the series!

Disappointed

Its a novella.... The first few chapters of a book.... Less than 40 minutes to read. Not buying the next one..... I dislike the broken book format.
