It’s not your momma’s romance. It’s a filthy-sweet MC romantic comedy about the author who writes the heat and the biker who became her favorite plot twist. Roxy Valentine is an erotic romance author with a gift for chaos and a crippling addiction to bad decisions in leather. With three pen names, a flask labeled Plot Juice, and a flair for trouble, she moves to Sinridge, Georgia, looking for inspiration and maybe a break from the internet after her last promo spiraled into a shirtless viral disaster. What she finds instead? A biker-built gym that reeks of sweat and sin, a clubhouse full of feral men without boundaries, and Reyes De León, the tattooed, brooding, rage-stuffed VP who just so happens to be the real-life body behind her bestselling book boyfriend. Reyes isn’t looking for drama. He’s trying to keep the club safe, the compound tight, and his libido in check. But Roxy crashes in like a smut comet in lipstick and lace-up boots, and suddenly the man who swears he’s in control is picturing her on his bike, wearing his patch like she was born for it. She’s researching her next book. He’s trying not to wreck his life or his heart. Instead, they’re breaking furniture, bending rules, and proving what happens when a stubborn biker and a shamelessly flirty author fall into forced proximity that refuses to stop catching fire. Then there’s the book club incident. The tattoo scene. The hallway wall. The hot tub. The bunnies. And the fact that she keeps writing Reyes into her novels. Naked. Accident? Maybe. Or maybe her subconscious just grabbed the wheel, swerved straight into filth, and forgot the brakes. One minute it’s a “fictional” biker with his tattoos and that grin. The next, it’s full-on live-action Reyes fanfic. Southern Reyes & Roxy is book two in the sinfully funny, high-heat Southern Valor MC series. Come for the sass. Stay for the smut. Pray for the furniture. Explicit heat. Aggressive flirting. Creative use of tequila, writing, tattoos, and every flat surface around. Handle this book like you’d handle Reyes. I actually really liked the story and characters. Loved the humor. I usually read a book a day on average, this one took days because I kept getting frustrated with the editing. This was more like a collection of paragraphs and excerpts randomly placed and rewrites left or thrown in as filler. The repetition alone was enough to want to just skim through the pages to find where the story went. I was pretty determined to finish, hence the time taken to read, because I really was enjoying the story and humor. This could be an amazing series if only it was edited and put in chronological order, as well as picking a direction and sticking with it or at leaving the alternate scene out. I would love to see this author rewrite this series and clean it up. I would definitely read the next if the writing was less stressful and aggravating to get through. I gave 3 stars because I truly loved the characters and story.
