This book started off so promising, with an anxious disaster werewolf that I was immediately invested in and a chaotic neurodivergent and confident succubus. They had all the spicy times and connected so well. And then it started turning into “anxiety is cured by a relationship”. I kept holding out hope, but his stammering and extreme social anxiety almost completely vanished. And stayed gone.

I really liked this book. The writing is really good and so is the story and the spice.
This is my first monster smut book and I went in blind, just knew it was about a succubus and a werewolf. I expected the smut but i did not expect the connection between Calder and Lillix to be this lovely. They complement each other beautifully, she is strong where he is shy and anxious and he calms her and takes such good care of her! It´s really beautiful! I give it 4,5 ⭐

Literally right off the rip this is 🔥🥵🔥🥵 and with it being SO hot SO fast I really didn't expect the emotional side to balance out the way it did but OH MY GOD DID IT. I cried SO many times reading this. Was it because it was sad? No, it sure wasn't. It was because it was so fkn beautiful that I just didn't know what to do with those feelings so I cried them out. Lilix didn't know what to do, I didn't know what to do. It was such a ride, omg.

Lilix and Calder both were relatable in ways I wasn't expecting and I really, truly never anticipate a book that has me fanning myself because it's so fkn sexy to also make me stop and go wow, other people feel that way too? The characters are unique and incredibly well-crafted; the detailed attention given to each monster makes them truly pop. The core of the story centers on their evolving relationship, which begins when the cam-girl succubus "scents" her devoted follower—a low-key sweet and romantic way they discover they live in the same building. The Male Main Character's effort in creating a custom item for her, based on his genuine understanding of her needs, is particularly charming.

Overall, Knot Just Friends is an engaging story with a strong plot and two very well-established leads. Caulder and Lillix are easy to root for, and I genuinely enjoyed following their relationship and the world around them.
That said, I found myself wishing the pacing were tighter. There were moments—like the multiple paragraphs spent describing a single breakfast—where the description felt unnecessary. Meanwhile, bigger elements (like Moon Sickness!) weren’t explored nearly as much as I hoped. By around the 40% mark, I realized I was speed-reading through some of the heavier exposition.
I also struggled a bit with the stakeout chapter. Lillix’s behavior went so far outside her established personality that I honestly expected a reveal explaining it—like she’d been drugged or magically influenced. Instead, it just felt out of place compared to the rest of her character development.
Still, despite those bumps, I truly enjoyed the story, the characters, and the overall arc. There’s heart, tension, and plenty of engaging moments that kept me invested all the way through.

A werewolf with social anxiety and an adult toy maker who happens to be infatuated with his next-door neighbor, who is a succubus cam girl. Sign me up. This was tender and erotic simultaneously. The author balanced physical intimacy and sex really interestingly. How is it that they can connect sexually but be guarded emotionally? Well, part of their path to each other is the undoing of managing loneliness from different aspects. The way they communicated their anxieties and left space to just be with each other was so tender. For readers who love a size difference, this was pronounced, but Calder was gentle as they come, very self-aware of his strength, and took cues from Lilix (who pushed the limits), which was endearing.
This book could have been a 5-star book, but there was quite a bit of repetitive text that was distracting. I thought I was re-reading the same sentence, but it was just restated somewhere else.

A wolf who makes sex toys and the object of his affection is a succubus who’s a cam girl. All it takes is him sending her a toy and she tries it while he’s watching her live thus starting their love story. So this book is like heavy on the golden retriever boyfriend boy but make him super smart, an inventor, a problem solver and a wolf rolled into one and you have a very interesting story. A loved that they both work in the same industry just on separate ends and that’s how they got together because he was watching what she does best. Be a sexy demon and I love that. He lets her shine and he’s just happy to be there. It’s sweet spicy and sexy rolled into one fantasy story.

This was the spiciest AND sweetest story!! Sex comes easy to Lilix but love is a whole other animal and this one comes in the form of a giant werewolf who makes custom sex toys. Truly a match made in smutty heaven! Calder is so sweet and endearing while Lilix is whirlwind tornado who I simultaneously love and fear in equal measures.
I highly recommend this book for its sex positivity, its hilarious hijinks and colorful characters, and its surprisingly romantic story about two seemingly disparate creatures who were able to be appreciated for who they are as well as the opportunity to improve and grow. They both have their flaws but they are loved for them, not in spite of them.

I went into this book expecting something playful and a little outrageous, and honestly it delivered in the best way. The whole setup with him making molds of, well… very specific male body parts and her reviewing the toys sounds like it could get cheesy fast, but it ends up being fun, flirty, and way hotter than expected. The chemistry between the two main characters is what really makes it work. Their dirty talk feels natural instead of forced, and the voyeuristic moments are written in a way that builds tension instead of relying on shock value. I think this is a unique story and enjoyed it.

This book was a chaos! I loved it truly - the succubus x werewolf kink is a new one to enter I will say. I liked how she's a cam girl and he makes *toys* so the weren't too different in the ways of work, only in species. The storyline was great, the only thing I had to keep pushing through was the childish moments the succubus had. It made me think if she's all these years old, why act in certain ways? Maybe I just never looked into how some people's versions of succubus are? Overall, good read!

This book is quite possibly the COZIEST monster sm×t I’ve ever read. It is SPICY, and not “they have se× by mid book” spicy. This is “get it rolling from chapter one” spicy. And it hits you with alllll the k!nks, or at least all the ones you would expect in a book about a cam girl succubus with a toy feti§h. But it’s not all spice. It has the sweetest story about a shy werewolf coming out of his shell and falling for the wild child. It has self-image acceptance, and learning to embrace your desires. And it’s so dang funny too!

I really enjoyed this book! This is the first book I've read by B. Grimm and I was incredibly pleasantly surprised by the depth of the characters! Calder may look scary but he is so sweet and cuddly inside and Lilix is a demon who knows what she wants and goes for it.
I really love this modern supernatural/monster romance kick that has been going on and this is another great inclusion to that subgenre! There is incredible spice, a sweet romance, and lovely sex worker representation.

This was my first monster romance and it definitely set the bar for my expectations. Colder the spicy toy making werewolf and Lilix the cam girl succubus. He was shy and introverted and she was a sassy chaotic extrovert. And they completed each other. Gave what the other didn’t know they were seeking/lacking. I expected smut. What I didn't expect was the pure sweetness of this relationship. I was squealing and laughing out loud with how adorable this couple was. It was probably one of the cutest relationships that I have read. I loved the quiet, meticulous Calder and the chaos incarnate, Lilix. Every second of this book brought me pure joy!! I highly recommend it!!!

Wow! This was Spicy in all of the best ways, and also surprisingly sweet. Calder and Lilix aka (CrimsonTease) are so cute together. This novella was just the right blend of scorching heat and achingly sweet with a pinch of pining.If you like,Spice, Toys and the idea of a sweet monster romance between a Werewolf and his Succubus Cam crush. Then I'd definitely recommend this particular story.

I think the evolution of the characters throughout the book is great. We see how each character changes with time. It's kinda comforting to see the growth of the main characters and seeing different sides of them.

Received this book as an arc and it was such a cute spicy read. It starts off strong and the spice is heavy. Calder is the cutest and sweetest sex toy making werewolf and Lilix is the exciting cam girl succubus of his dreams. I love how shy and adorable Calder’s character is and how the personalities complimented each other. A must if you enjoy monster romance,spice and a feel good read.

This was cute, cozy and hella spicy. What do you get when you mix a chaotic succubus in a shy sex toy making werewolf pure fun chaos. This my type of cozy romance not a whole lot of real plot but there's a lot of heart within the plot that is there and so so so so so so much spice. Great first book to have read from this author I will be continuing on with the other two books in the series.
