Forget vampires, werewolves and serial killers, to Riley Cray, there’s nothing more frightening than an afternoon of Christmas shopping with a succubus.

Hello and welcome to my little corner here on Goodreads. I’m A.J. Colby, author of the Riley Cray series.

I’ve always been an avid reader, thanks to my parents, who encouraged both my older brothers and I to read from an early age. I first decided I wanted to be an author at the age of ten when I read Interview With The Vampire and fell in love with Fantasy in general, and Urban Fantasy in particular. From that moment on I was hooked on all things vampires, werewolves, witches and all the other various beasties of lore and fantasy.

I’m originally from England (you know, where the history comes from), but moved to the States as a teenager, so I guess I’m technically now more American than British. Don’t tell anyone, okay? I’ve been living in Colorado since I moved stateside and though I miss the rain and rolling hills of England, nothing compares to the sheer awesomeness of the Rockies (the mountains, not the crappy baseball team).

I consider any day I can write, whether it’s ten words or 2,000 a good day, and am constantly surrounded by support from my wicked awesome friends and family, horde of fuzzy minions of doom (adorable fluffy kitties), and my ever supportive, wonderfully nerdy, and creative fiance, Mr. Awesome Sauce.

When I'm not writing or working my day job I like to collect books, sewing machines, cat hair, and neurosis.
