Exorcism Island #4 by Jordan Thomas, with cover art by Chris Matthews
Oh wow—the shit absolutely hits the fan in this issue. This is the moment the series stops simmering and goes full boil, and it is glorious. Bodies, secrets, and sanity are all on the line, and by the final pages you’re left wondering if anyone is making it out of this alive. What a ride.
Issue #4 rips the veil off everything the priests thought they understood. The true evil finally steps out of the shadows, and the reveal is brutal, operatic, and perfectly timed. Jordan Thomas has been threading dread through every issue, and here it erupts—dark forces the priests have barely managed to contain now surge to the surface, overwhelming both the island and the fragile faith of the men stationed there.
The pacing is relentless. Every scene feels like a countdown. Every character is pushed to their breaking point. And Chris Matthews’ cover art continues to set the tone—storm‑dark, unhinged, and ready to swallow the island whole.
A ferocious turning point for the series. If this is where we’re headed, the next issue is going to be wild.
Honestly, the end of this chapter is kinda the vibe I’m absolutely okay with. Like let people go at some point. How are they meant to live in those bodies again?
All that this has been building up to is now exploding in front of us readers' eyes. Far less development, of both plot and character, in this issue but plenty of action.
Good things come to patient readers – Exorcism Island #4 sees Jordan Thomas and team back on track, ramping up the demonic activity and monster mayhem.
