Stuffed by Thanksgiving

Rate this book
She inherited half my family's ranch and plans to sell it to the highest bidder.

Over my dead body.

There's a clause in the will—if we produce an heir together by Thanksgiving, we both keep the ranch. She knows about it. She doesn't care.

So I'll make her care. I'll make her want this. Want me. Want the life we could build together.

I have six months to knock up the most stubborn woman in Montana.

Game on.

I escaped dairy farming once. I'm not going back.

The Thornewood Ranch? It's getting sold, and no ridiculous clause is going to stop me.

Except Beck Thornewood is 6'3" of pure cowboy temptation, and he's not playing fair. The storm. The barn. The way he looks at me like I'm already his.

I swore I'd never get pregnant again. I swore I'd never fall for a rancher.

Turns out I'm a liar on both counts.

An enemies-to-lovers ranch romance where the stakes are high, the tension is higher, and someone's definitely getting stuffed by Thanksgiving.

What did I just read?
It felt like a 5th grader wrote the dialogue.
So many plot holes.
And as someone who has been reading smut since the late 1990s and have never found anything that bothered me, I can say after almost 30 years I have finally found an ick, or several.

I really gave book 2 a try. As I said in my review to the first book, I didn't want to condemn an author just because of one book. I decided to read this one just to make sure.

I can say, I did like this a bit better. The first half had at least more relationship development parts than the first one. But still the focus was extremely on the kink part with the breastmilk. I get that a guy could be curious about the process and breastmilk in a way. But not like that. Not like it's everything about her. And it sounds like that. He loved how she “produced” and whatnot.

The dialogues were still cringy. Especially that one with the dairy cow and her mooing… When I reached that part, it was game over for me. I finished that book, but barely. Now, I'm sure I will not read more of this ever. Not only is the kink not my thing, but I can't even with the dialogues and the content.

Not to forget, there were so many holes. I get it, that it's meant to be a short story, but still it has to be consistent and should feel complete.

It didn't. Just weird and cringy. But the only saving grace is, that it was better than the first one. And don't mistake the 3 stars as a good thing. It's just that I never rate below three stars. So, this is my worst rating. In only rate below three stars, when the book is unreadable in my opinion. Like, for example, I don't even understand what I'm reading. It has to be that bad.

But this I could read. It's just not to my taste and the execution was poorly for me.

Decent idea but inconsistent storyline

The story felt forced with a lot of repetition. Then the author changed what kind of farm they had and whose farm it was initially… just a lot of inconsistency and plot holes and unnecessary filler to give the storyline enough to make it a novella.
