Their search takes them on a quest that spans eight decades and multiple generations.

Traci Borum is a writing teacher and native Texan. She’s also an avid reader of women’s fiction, most especially Elin Hilderbrand and Rosamunde Pilcher novels. Since the age of 12, she’s written poetry, short stories, magazine articles, and novels.

Traci also adores all things British. She even owns a British dog (Corgi) and is completely addicted to Masterpiece Theater–must be all those dreamy accents! Aside from having big dreams of getting a book published, it’s the little things that make her the happiest: deep talks with friends, a strong cup of hot chocolate, a hearty game of fetch with her Corgi, and puffy white Texas clouds always reminding her to “look up, slow down, enjoy your life.”

Romance and history rolled into one make for a delightful tale.

Morgan's Grove is a small Texas town near Austin. Close enough to a large city, but far enough away that it has its own charm. The best part of this town is the community. People look out for one another and care about what happens to their neighbors.

Lexi has inherited her great-grandmother's antique shop, but she dreams of expanding it further, especially if it will benefit the community. Her parents uncover a box of items in the attic, and inside is a necklace no one knew about. This leads Lexi on a hunt to uncover the piece's history. Her normal appraiser is out of town, but he recommends Graham, a budding history professor at UT. There is an attraction on both sides, well, after some time, but Lexi has some major baggage from her divorce. While I understand fears and taking things slow, Lexi has trust issues that impede this potential relationship. There were times when instead of talking things out, she just ran away. In a way, she frustrated me because of this, but at the same time, I could understand learning to trust again.

I really enjoyed the historical aspect and uncovering the mystery of the necklace. Working to uncover the truth is always rewarding, and it is like a puzzle, finding the right pieces and having them fall into place.

Not only is there romance for Lexi, but one of her employees, Ruby, also finds love when she isn't expecting it.

There are many characters to fall in love with, and I hope to see more of them in future books.

We give this book 4 paws up.

The third book in her Morgan’s Grove series, Traci Borum absolutely hits another home run with a story about small town life and romance. Although the residents in this small Texas town, just a hop, skip, and jump from Austin, have either a historical or familial connection, each her novels can be a stand-alone read.
Centering on the life and times of Lexi Price, we are introduced, not only to the busy-ness of her successful small-town antique shop, but also to the intrigue of the World War II romance of her great-grandmother. Not unlike other romance stories, Keeper of My Heart touches on the pain of failed relationships, but definitely focuses on moving forward and opening up to new possibilities.
While exploring the history of a beautiful pendant that had belonged to her great-grandmother, Lexi is led to ask for the research help of Graham Faulkner, a University of Texas history professor. While searching the attic of Gigi’s home, she and Graham find a packet of ribbon-tied letters from her love that Gigi had tucked away. This not only helped Lexi to learn of Gigi’s love for a fallen hero, but also helped her open her own heart to a new relationship.
In the course of this story we also meet Graham’s sister, Shelley, who resides in an assisted-living home. While Shelley is a minor character, the love and acceptance of her specialness is not lost on the reader and adds a certain depth of reality to this book, and I thank Ms. Borum for that.
I found it interesting that while focusing on life in Morgan’s Grove, Borum also made a neat connection to the Cotswolds, the region in England which is the setting of another of her series. If you’ve not explored the writings of Traci Borum, I encourage you to do so now. And although this review is about Keeper of My Heart, I have read all of her other books and have come away mighty glad that I did. I think you will too.

It’s been so long since Traci Borum released a book, so I was extremely excited when I heard that she had written Keeper of My Heart which is a stand-alone book set in the fictional town of Morgan’s Grove. It is just as charming as all of her other novels! The book stars Lexi Price who owns her late great-grandmother’s (Gigi’s) antique store and Graham Faulkner, a history professor.

Keeper of My Heart has a very relaxed pacing which allows you to savor all of the details. The author’s talent for descriptive writing shines in every scene. I loved the slow-burn romance which develops out of a sweet friendship between Lexi and Graham. You’ll be reminded that first impressions are sometimes completely off! What might come across as indifferent and cold could just be the result of someone having a really bad day. Their romance is the complete opposite of Lexi’s Gigi and James, her WWII beau, that she and Graham uncover in Gigi’s letters to James. Theirs is a love at first sight romance that unfolds through wartime letters written between the two.

I love how the author can include so many characters who each have unique personalities and a lot of depth. My favorite character, besides Lexi and Graham, was Graham’s sister. I believe you will love her too. I could share the many amazing characters with you, but you will find so much joy in discovering them as you read! As you can tell, I was completely captivated by Keeper of My Heart and highly recommend it!

I would like to thank the author for emailing her book to me!

Lexi Price owns an antique shop, she inherited from her most beloved grandmother, Gigi. I'm sorry to say, I only got to know Gigi through her granddaughters memories. They are sweet, precious memories.

A necklace is uncovered and Lexi begins a sleuthing journey to discover the story of the heirloom and if and how it relates to her grandmother. During her search she meets Professor Graham Faulkner and soon the two are investigating together. The two discover Gigi has secrets that take Lexi, Graham and the reader on a path to World War 2 where there was once a hidden romance, now uncovered. While they are searching Lexi and Graham are exploring a possibility of their own romance.

I enjoyed this book. I loved the mystery of the necklace and the search for it and what it all means. Lexi was tenacious in search for the heirloom. The book is full of great characters, supportive to Lexi and fun. I especially liked Lexi's dad, a chef. I thought he was a great character. He really loved his daughter and supported her and encouraged her in what she accomplished. Lexi was a busy lady.

Graham and Lexi's relationship was slow to develop, but not to slow. Maybe I should say, steady to develop.

There is music and dancing, an Easter egg hunt and fun activities all around. I recommend it for everyone who likes a mystery with a romance. Happy Reading!

I had the pleasure in reading the first two books from Traci Borum's Morgan's Grove series, Love Starts Here and Meet You Under the Stars. I was honored to have the opportunity to read the third installment, Keeper of My Heart. I believe this may be my favorite of the three. It was a delight getting to know Lexi and Graham. I thought they had great chemistry. I felt like Lexi was relatable and I understood what she had gone through. Overall, I found this to be a wonderful and sweet story to read.

I am going to give Keeper of My Heart five stars. I highly recommend it for readers who love to read clean romantic fiction. I would love to have the opportunity to read more books from the Traci Borum in the near future.

I received a digital copy of Traci Borum's Keeper of My Heart from the author, but was not required to write a review, nor a positive one. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Everything is this book tugged at my heart. Lexi’s relationship with her Gigi and the way she carries on the traditions while also making the store hers is perfect. I love how much she cares about the store and knows that things have to advance in order to stay in business. Graham is the perfect professor. He is the one to step up to help Lexi find the story behind the necklace. I love how cautious he is of his own heart and of Lexi’s heart. He is the perfect gentleman.

Keeper of my Heart is the perfect sweet romance with minimal heat. There is no doubt there will be a HEA but the path to get there is fun. I enjoyed the setting, the characters, and the storyline so much that I did not want the book to end.

Thank you to the author for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

This book was a delightful read! It is the story of discovery, solving a mystery of lost love, and learning to open one’s heart to new love. I enjoyed following Lexi and Graham’s search for clues uncovered when they find an antique necklace and letters between Lexi’s grandmother and a man she’d never heard of. Mystery, romance, some family drama, and good friends. I very much enjoyed this book
