This story flows perfectly from the first in the series. I loved the joking trigger warning at the start, it set the tone in the best way. I honestly wasn’t sure how the author could pull off a sequel to Black Spots that captured the same twisted energy, but this one ties everything together in a sharp, satisfying way that makes me hope for a third. It also made me wonder, how do writers even come up with stories like this? I can’t help but both love and hate the characters (though maybe that says more about me). Twisted, darkly fun, and an excellent addition to the series.

Y’all! Red Spots isn’t just dark—it’s pitch black, pulsing, and alive. 😳 John’s trying to bury his sins, but every lie he shovels just digs a deeper grave. His wife knows everything—his partner in crime, his obsession, his undoing. The line between devotion and destruction? Gone. ⚡️

Kent masterfully peels back their marriage layer by rotting layer, exposing a love that’s equal parts heat and horror. The characters evolve (or unravel) so vividly you can taste the tension and feel the fear crawling up your spine. 🩸

The writing is rich, immersive, and cinematic—every word hums with dread and desire. If Black Spots was the warning, Red Spots is the reckoning. 💀 Twisted, seductive, and haunting in the best way. #RedSpots #JedKent

Where do I begin with this book? A wild ride from the beginning!!! I had all the faith that Kent would make this sequel just as good as the first; the kicker? It’s BETTER. The backstories and character development are addicting. I genuinely struggled to find a place to put this down, definitely stayed up wayyyy to late reading—needing to know what happens next. Kent’s writing style grabs you by the throat, holds on relentlessly and refuses to let up until the last page.

Some spice and mind those trigger warnings ⚠️

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS READ❤️❤️

I know when I pick up a Jed Kent book I’m in for an experience. It seems he gets a crazy idea and absolutely knocks it out of the park, no matter the genre it’s in. “Red Spots”, the sequel to his twisted book “Black Spots”, is no exception. This story was tense, captivating and brilliant. I had absolutely no clue what was going to happen next. Some of the characters I got attached to in “Black Spots” make a reappearance in this sequel as well as the introduction of a new character, John’s younger brother Alex, who was beautifully written. If you’re in the mood for a dark story that has spice, insanity, love, chaos and redemption I’d highly recommend this novel.

Review time! 🫠 Red Spots by Jed Kent!

Unforgettable! Unbelievable! Utterly fantastic plot as the turns keep you on the edge wiping sweat from your Brow!

Wtf moments in every chapter! The descriptions make you hit your knees!

Black spots set the scene but Red Spots took it to a deeper, darker level! Gruesome!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars plus! Incredible plot and a book that blows your mind away!

The Twins Alice and Candace play the games as two brothers are swept up, past to present!

Omg 😳 this book is at the top! I didn’t do thread 🧵 or a board as I was told to do with coping skills!

Brutal scenes but lavished with sexual scenes as two people fight for power and utmost control. The wicked fight their own battles! Passion, lust and love weave into a web of deception and death!

Blood 🩸 soaks this house in every imaginable way! John is losing his ability to wreak havoc, to avenge his brother and his brother’s mental health as Candace swirls in sex in a temptation overload and acting as her sister Alice.

Candace is fire 🔥 and has no boundaries. Her thirst for blood and redemption claims her mind but there’s also the little girl inside of her begging to be wanted. Or so we think?

No longer will she be left out of the life she deserves! She will take it all including John with sexual prowess and female primal maneuvers, seeking her claim!

Lies buried upon lies much like the decaying bodies to hush the lies.

Manipulation runs its course! Bitter in the taste of revenge! The kills are in place, as the alibis set in motion a rollercoaster 🎢 of disbelief, shocking twists that turn your tummy over!

Omg 😳 best book by Jed Kent! Horror, terror, pain, destruction and No mercy!

Just when you think you've figured out how to decipher a Jed Kent book... you're wrong. You're just totally wrong, and it's amazing. I think I stopped trying to figure out where this book was going next around chapter five. The imagination of Jed Kent is unmatched in his beautiful ability to tell a twisty tale that keeps you guessing while also creating vividly alive characters and true to life goosebumps on your skin. Highly, highly recommend. But read Black Spots first. Trust me, it will be the best time you ever had being confused!

Another masterpiece by an amazing writer

Loved this book! There were a couple of great twists I didn't see until they were BAM right there in my face!

The foreword by Courtney Capone and Hayley Bernard-Ryan was so funny. I hope they write together again! And Jed's trigger warnings were priceless.

I truly love Jed's writing style and will continue to read everything he writes because he is so consistently good. If you haven't read Black Spots, you should do that first but both books are definitely worth a read!

“Red Spots” by Jed Kent is a vivid, unsettling read that grabs you from the first page. It’s full of secrets and manipulation, and with each truth that unfolds, the danger grows darker and more intense, pulling you deeper into the mystery. I couldn’t put it down. Kent crafts a gripping tale that keeps you on edge and lingers in your mind well after the final page. Perfect for readers who enjoy dark psychological thrillers.
