I downloaded Bug Stuff and settled in for a good read, surprised when it turned out to be three very short but punchy romantic stories that hit the ground running and stopped just as abruptly. I read them in one, incredibly short, and must say unsatisfactory session that left me wanting more.

A good idea though and I will certainly view Vicki Batman's work as worth looking out for in the future.

This compilation includes a potentially boring dinner where a greedy attendee leaves the heroine hungry, a forgotten dress and an encounter with a cockroach that brings two co-workers together. Short, sweet, engaging and funny. Lovely.

I received an e-copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

These three amusing stories are instant-gratification escapism, sweet tales of A: an office romance; B: a romantic meeting at an awkward banquet; and C: a ten-year wedding anniversary that seems to be going awry.

The stories are quickies – sweet and sexy rather than hot and steamy. The perfect fast read when you need to shut yourself off from the world, and remind yourself that love never gets tired.

Three very short but sweet and fun stories by Vicki Batman. I particularly enjoyed Bug Stuff which anyone who has ever had a moments hesitation upon finding a cockroach will enjoy.

In truth when I got this off Story Cartel for free in exchange for an honest review I didn't expect to get a lot from this book. I guess I decided to download a free copy out of curiosity.

At first seemed simply written for the sake of writing a book. I was surprised by the funny parts and the roach scaring the guy was hilarious. Sadly here isn't much of any character building or story to get behind. Just a couple of laugh, forgettable characters and writing in the plainest sense. For those reasons I can't recommend this for a purchase.

But if you want a laugh and are wiling to forsake story or an get our hands on a free copy (legally of course) go right ahead.

I agreed to review this title in exchange for a free copy from Story Cartel, if you haven't already checked them out as a source of free in exchange for a review pre-release titles.
This is a trio of short stories, perfect for reading during lunch time at work, or as a quick respite. Each story is charming and humorous, with enough description for the reader to perfectly recreate each scene in their mind's eye. I thoroughly enjoyed these sweet reads.

I give it more of a 2.5. I won this on the Goodreads giveaway. I expected a little more. The author writes well, I just went into it thinking short STORIES not SHORTS! If I hadn't expected more than that I probably would have liked it more. The roach story was my favorite!
