“TWO-FISTED ADVENTURE IS BACK” Joe Brannan, owner and Captain of a dive boat working out of Thailand’s sin city Pattaya, is desperate to keep his business afloat, so when an old acquaintance comes to him with a tale of sunken riches he simply can’t resist taking a look. But nobody warned him he would risk losing everything, caught up in a maelstrom of twists and turns, malevolent villains, close calls and Cambodian pirates. And he certainly didn’t count on falling in love. “BRANNAN’S RUN- THE ULTIMATE BEACH READ.”

Read this book on a plane and you'll be asking the pilot to fly around in circles until you finish it.

Really enjoyed this--reminded me of a Pacific version of John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee series. Solid plot and characters along with strong action wrapped up in a very polished writing style. Loved the touches of Thai culture and the locale. I've done a lot of scuba diving in the Caribbean and Mexico, but not in the Pacific and I've read few authors that handle diving details so well. Looking forward to a sequel. Thanks to Kevin for the recommendation.

This is the sort of book which you used to be able to pick up at the airport and take to the beach and thoroughly enjoy. Nowadays I suppose you'd call it a guilty pleasure. Its a well-knit, fast-moving mans adventure story. A gutsy thriller set against the exotic backdrop of modern day Thailand in which Stephen Cord manages to keep up a flow of convincing action without being repetitive. The characters are grounded in the reality of a fascinating locale which Cord enhances by giving us a frank commentary on persons places and things as the plot surges along. There are actually a lot of layers to this book all of them worth discovering. Grab it off the rack when you see it!
