Claire Laurent is cursed. Every human forgets her. For two centuries, she has been the world’s most invisible woman. But when her magnetic CEO, Malcolm Thorne—a wrath demon known as Malleus—returns, he not only sees her, he remembers her. Claire is drawn into a dangerous affair that defies her solitude. After two hundred years of invisibility, she will learn what it means to be claimed by a demon, and to be remembered by beings who will never forget her.
As always the story line sucks you into the world of supernatural beings. The spice level is a very satisfying 4.5. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
claire and malleus are such a perfect pairing loved them together. my demon explores what isolation and being alone does to a person. the masks we wear to protect ourselves. malleus is a representation of what it finally feels like to be seen totally would recommend it and chef kiss on the spice, emotional growth as well.
Amazing second book of the series! Loved the return of Malleus and finding his one with Claire! Brilliantly written with some spicy scenes, hilarious banter, and shocking moments that had me almost waking up the whole house (oops lol). Cannot wait for book 3!
I absolutely adored this book! Rivers writing style is excellent! I’m addicted! It was so different to book 1 (Verdantis) yet still tied into the series so well. I can’t wait for the next book!
I adore this authors writing style, it is so immersive that you can truly imagine the word that you are reading. My Demon is the second book in River's Magic, Monsters & Mates series and it just leaves you wanting more and more. The author has a talent for making you fall in love with all the side characters to the point you want their story too. Such is the case with this book, the MMC is Malleus who made a hilarious and memorable appearance in book one Verdantis, and he is what I would call a lovable arse. The Fmc is Claire a human woman who is cursed to never be remembered at all, to forever been forget the moment someone looks away from her, until She meets the CEO of where she works who not only remembers her but is fascinated by her. Meeting Mallues opens up a whole need world for Claire, where she learns what it means to be remembered after a lifetime of being forgotten.
This is such an amazing book that will recommend to everyone I know.
