This book was everything I thought it would be and more. From page one I was hooked. Maeve is such a likable and relatable FMC. She is tough, takes no junk, is determined, loves to bake, and has a soft side. The MMC’s are deliciously scary and hot! Bram with his stick up his butt attitude toward Maeve, Poe with his nude meditation, Remy who is really into nutrition and happens to be the clumsiest person ever. This book covers how Maeve ended up in the hands of the Butchers. Why she took the route she did. & The time she has to spend with the Butchers (forced proximity) 😏 All the characters in this book are carrying their own trauma. That gets talked about in this book. The feelings they feel and the why of it all is so relatable and I really loved that you could understand how they are feeling bc we may have been through something similar in our own life. Maeve’s grief has taken her on this journey of revenge and by the end of book one things are getting turned up. A fitting end to this trilogy. I love that Sadie absolutely solidified Maeve's commitment to the very end to see the end of an evil character who deserved to get what he dished to the innocent women he hunted and abused. The Butchers, men who may have degenerate business, can be good men who follow the principals of honorable ideology. Women and children should be protected in every way. Please know that human trafficking's is not entertainment however, without calling attention to it in every way available we will never end it.
