Bodie Hodge is the author of Fall of Satan and co-author of Dragons: Legends and Lore of Dinosaurs. He is on the staff of Answers in Genesis, and is a speaker, writer, contributor, and researcher on a host of topics related to apologetics, biblical history, and the book of Genesis.
What a helpful book! 'Confound the Critics' is easy to follow and understand. Its conversational style really helps the reader learn the techniques used when answering questions and addressing attacks against the teachings of the Word of God. This book will definitely be a resource I will use in the future!
This was a unique format. Each chapter was correspondence written to Answers in Genesis. They answered line for like the questions, claims and accusations. I don’t agree with all of their theology, but this will be a good book to refer back to to help answer tough questions that could shake faith.
We sometimes will come against skeptics, unbelievers or people of opposite faiths that challenge what we believe. And even when we know the truth, sometimes it can be hard to verbalize it or find ways to help it make sense to someone else. That is the purpose of this book. To guide you in thinking through tough questions and how to respond Biblically.
Very helpful; it prints letters from skeptics and gives point by point answers to each issue raised. Also explains the logical fallacies in the letters. The book is divided into 3 sections: 1) ethics, philosophy, and morality; 2) science and evolution; 3) biblical authority, theology, and compromised positions. An informative appendix in the back lists 41 logical fallacies.
This book was a near compilation of letters written and then answered with scriptural evidence to counter all the claims that various critics made against Christianity. I enjoyed reading it! Although some subject matter was way over my head and hard to comprehend.
I picked this up from a trip to the Ark Encounter. It’s a great book and is very helpful in addressing Biblical Authority issues that Christians can encounter from non-believers. It clarified a few things for me as well. This will stay in my personal library!
Tbh I feel bad rating this book I just read it for school, dude was so passive agressive and it was legit so funny but also it’s just another answers in Genesis book referencing other answers in Genesis books
I read this book as part of my daily devotions. Most of the chapters are only 2 or 3 pages long. It is informative and written in a style that is easy to read.
