The thoughts and actions of people past and present have determined the current state of our planet. If we change our thinking, we can change the health of our own lives, and also the future state of our world. 7 Ways to Think Differently explores ways to address personal, social and environmental concerns in simple practical steps in our daily lives, helping us to make incremental, achievable changes. As well as addressing our internal landscapes, Looby explains how individuals and communities can work together to achieve positive change. The seven ways of thinking are: Abundance thinking; Solutions thinking; Systems thinking; Thinking like nature; Co-operative thinking; Thinking for the future; From thinking to doing.
Macnamara summarizes a great amount of information in this book. It's an inspiring journey that motivates the reader to unite forces and believe that it's possible to be an agent of change and there are good in many things. Sometimes the problem is really the solution we just need to switch our thinking.
For beginners in the permaculture field - like me - this book opened me doors will most likely never close again. Super worth the quick read and experience.

Intriguing and enjoyable, I picked this up after seeing an article mentioned it. Feels like a good book for that moment you've realised there is a different way of doing life, and there's lots of good thoughts in here. For me, I found the Permaculture references very useful and should find out more about it. And Abundance thinking is really powerful.
I've found this book very helpful not only on understanding principles of permaculture but applying to life's obstacles. It will sit on my desk for reference.
