Remedy: Love In Scrubs
Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Aries Yerba, knows he’s smart, talented, and one of the best orthopedic surgeons not only at St. Ambrose, but in the county. So, when his abilities are questioned in the form of a medical malpractice lawsuit, anger and frustration looms as he is forced to shift his focus from his regular routine, to defending his name. Things may have come at Dr. Yerba fast, and out of the blue, but he knows he’s the best, and refuses to be broken.
Attorney, Skylar Wise, doesn’t particularly care for Dr. Yerba, but her job is to defend malpractice claims to the best of her abilities. And while Dr. Yerba is cocky and self centered, she trusts her research; research that states Dr. Yerba has a perfect record. So, Skylar is more than ready to stand her ground against an ambulance chasing attorney, who's looking for a quick pay day.

Unfortunately this was very underwhelming for me. Nothing of note, considering romance pining and all, happened until 60 percent in the book. There was no real chemistry between the characters. I’m being told they are feeling each other but I didn’t see it…at all. I also felt like maybe a quick google hell bing search would have been good. Like I get it’s fiction yadah yadah yah but a hospital lawyer can’t just cancel surgeries. Imagine needed life changing surgery and a hospital lawyer just happens to cancel it because of a maybe malpractice suit. . There wasn’t really anything romantic that happened the whole case thing took up far too long of the book with no real progression of their relationship to make up for the fact that the book was only 120 pages. It takes 80 pages for a kiss that is oddly placed? Not to mention Skyler having a crush on this man for 20 plus years and they have not interacted since hs?! And he didn’t even remember her? Are you not embarrassed?!

Sigh 😔, crushed no groove to this installment of “Love in Scrubs” series finale‼️…Well, “Remedy: Love in Scrubs” (3.75 ⭐️’s) was classic Shay Davis. Unfortunately, the hyper sensual, adult activities, non committal, recklessness & irrational behaviors (from two seven figure professionals) all for the principles of ego, variety & a daily dose of nut butter. Really 🥴⁉️I expected more substance from the book, the series & for the characters Atty. Skylar Wise & Dr. Aries Yerba. …Black Urban Professional people (referred to as Buppies in my youth🤩🤭), we are better than these clichés, myths, narratives and or the stereotypes. …No better, do better & thrive more 🤷🏾♀️‼️

Loved it
The only issue with this book was it wasn't long enough. I liked the tension between Skylar and Aries. They were both so much alike yet so different. Bit when they came together explosive chemistry was out of this world. Aries brother was hilarious...not him always falling in love...mind you it def run in the fam...cause Aries was stuck on ms. Lawyer ma'am 💜💜😊

(2.75⭐️) Not too much drama. It was a bit of a slow burn. It took them over half the book to stop fighting their feelings. A slow burn isn’t necessarily a bad thing but when you don’t have that many pages to work with, it lasted a bit longer in my opinion. At any rate, I didn’t really feel anything in their romance. I feel like it was more lust than anything else. I also think the resolution of his malpractice suit was very anticlimactic. Also I wish more was done to kind of play up their missed connection in high school. You’ll enjoy if you like arrogant MMC’s & a boss FMC.

This is actually a 2.5🌟 for me. (They don't allow the inbetween ratings, so I round up)/ A playboy (F.Boy) at 40 is not sexy. I just can't get behind it. While I know this is "Romance" for me, it just NOT sexy. I need characters to be more than the some total of their body parts and how they wield it. I need characters to have more substance and emotional intelligence for me to invest even temporarily. I just couldn't invested in Dr. Aries Yerba, not even "hypothetically", there simply was no growth. What's between his legs just cant be all there is to his identity. The lack of credible moral or emotional foundation made it difficult for me to invest in him. Perhaps if Dr. Yerba's character was developed more, provide a bit of grit and emotional grounding, I could take the leap with the author but, a 40 year old "playboy (F.Boy) to a committed partner feels to manufactured. Cause fantasy or no, no playboy (F.Boy) goes from sinner to saint in 2.03 seconds flat.
The Love I'm Scrubs series are goods reads, some better than some, as to be expected but the Miraculous turn around of some of the male protagonists in their late 30s/40s from fu*k-boys, into seemingly monogamous upstanding men clauled by the lure of of one distinctive pu*sy, nah... not believable. Interesting read though. I say interesting because I finished it!
The Love I'm Scrubs series are goods reads, some better than some, as to be expected but the Miraculous turn around of some of the male protagonists in their late 30s/40s from fu*k-boys, into seemingly monogamous upstanding men clauled by the lure of of one distinctive pu*sy, nah... not believable. Not afraid of the big bad doctor
I love that Skylar wasn't afraid of the big bad doctor. She matched his energy and won, getting him to concede for his own good. Aries is a very good surgeon but his attitude can be off putting with his arrogance. He don't have to be quiet and meek but he doesn't have to be rude either. His position doesn't make you above anyone else and I love that Skylar enjoyed ruffing his feathers and putting him in check. But that energy soon gives off and combusts in a healthy way for them both. Skylar is a beast with her legal skills and she had his best interest and his back while protecting his career. I enjoyed banter between them throughout and enjoyed this story.

Remedy: Love In Scrubs
Too cute. I have truly enjoyed this series. The doctors are fine, skilled, and arrogant while the women are bold, beautiful, and love a challenge.
Skylar was that girl. She knew taking this case was going to be more than she needed especially with Dr. Yerba, but she loves a good challenge.
Aries didn't remember Skylar from high school, but loved the fact that she could give as good as she got. He was no match, and that intrigued him.
Great ending to the series. I wished it was longer.

Aries and Skylar!!
Aries and Skylar came in contact since Skylar is the hospital attorney for a medical malpractice case filed against him. Skylar was attracted to Aries in high school, but she wasn't noticeable to him. After they started working together, it wasn't long before an attraction grew more and more. Aries met his match with Skylar. I loved how even though Aries was an alpha male, he was able to give up some of his control to Skylar at work and in the bedroom. Enjoyed it from beginning to end!!

Shay, I must admit that the word count had me nervous. However, you proved me wrong as the story was well developed and engaging. I loved Skylar because her mouth was slicker than a snicker and she gave Aries the business.
It was the banter for me. Also, how both of them excelled in their field and had every right to be confident and cocky.
This was a great book and the turtle reference went over my head until Aries voiced it.

I want MORE!!
I loved this book but unfortunately once Skylar started the case it was rushed. The characters were well played but it just didn't give you anymore of them being together than the SEX!! If it wasn't for them eating those two meals together they didn't exist. I wanted her dad to meet this new man and her best friend Mackenzie to know about him. It's a very good read that leaves you with THAT'S IT.

Listen… Remedy was giving smart and sexy with a fine doctor fighting for his name and the bawsed up lawyer who was supposed to save him. The tension was sizzling mixing professionalism with passion and add some comedy funny moment made this a fun read that had me smiling, blushing, and rooting for them the whole way through.

Unexpected!
This book took me by surprise. I didn’t expect the underlying elements that showed up during the interaction between Aries and Skylar. In order to find out what that is you have to read the book. Just know the Author did a good job of showing how something beautiful can happen when you open up to the unexpected!

Great Story
Funny how arrogant people are often made due to how they are treated as not being enough even after proving themselves. I loved the story, the back and forth banter and how you never know that not seeing a person in one setting could potentially turn into something unimaginable. You have a new reader. Thank you for allowing God to use you for His glory.

Great read!
Aries didn't remember Skylar from high school as she was a geek, he was the big man on campus, but when a bogus lawsuit is filed against him, she's the hospital lawyer assigned to his case. She's always had a crush on him and when a night turns steamy, they realize they could be more than client/ attorney. In the end they win in love and the case. Great quick read!

They Won
The bantering between these two, kept a smile on my face. I was happy to see both of them didn't shy away from their feelings and the found direction in which there relationship was heading.

I really enjoyed this one. The banter back and forth was so cute.

Good Quick Read
Quick read. I would love to see more of Aries and Skylar, even if it’s a cameo in a book for Marcus and Angela. This pair got off to a rocky start but quickly got to the good stuff. Enjoyable read.

I love reading about mature adults finding love, though with some insecurities! Aries & Skylar were made for each other! Both arrogant but able to provide what each other needed and wanted! I hope to see more of them, as their story is not finished, or is it....

The main characters had great chemistry. The story was missing something. Also some facts didn’t line up with their age difference and graduating at the same time. I would’ve liked more character development.

Short, little drama and nasty. Being paired with someone who you need to save your career only to find out that said person had a crush on you earlier in life and now you have that same crush. Aries and Skylar found infatuation in each other and do whatever needs to happen to be together. This was such a quick little live story.
