This historical romance anthology of seven stories written by seven prominent authors was a wonderful and captivating collection. The stories were full of drama, action, and intrigue, with hidden identity, amnesia, friends to lovers, match making, mistaken identity, second chance, unrequited love, brothers best friend, and plenty of humor and wit, so many emotional issues and plot twists that kept me very entertained. I enjoyed the delightful characters, their family, friends, the ducks, geese, and the Great Dane. I highly recommend reading every story!
Two I enjoyed most: Carrie Lomax - Waylaid by a Rogue Light-hearted and short enough to complete before bedtime. In the author's note she admits she's stretched the truth regarding concussion and amnesia, but the fiction is still very enjoyable. A bonus epilogue is available. The Ardor of an Architect - Linda Rae Sande A nice change of place with the story set in Edinburgh. A delightful short story of childhood friends reuniting and some helpful side characters pushing Daniel and Isabella to their HEA.
Seven brand-new novellas in a beautiful anthology that offers a little bit of everything, and the perfect intro if you haven’t read these authors or historical romance before. It’s has an engaging variety of tropes, a nice selection of interesting MCs from all walks of life, and romances go from passionate kisses only to a delicious splash of steam.
Short, well-written and diverting; my favourite kind of bedtime stories!
These were my favourites:
✨ Waylaid by a Rogue by Carrie Lomax Cornwall, a lonely widow travelling, a duke in his birthday suit, amnesia, whirlwind naughtiness – utterly charming, humorous and a little goofy
✨ The Ardor of an Architect by Linda Rae Sande Edinburgh, seamstress x architect, childhood friends, accidental reputation ruination – he had a plan, she kicked it into gear
✨ Love’s Curiosities: Tia and Will by Aubrey Wynne London, Lady x 3rd son barrister, she wants substance, he likes it light, pro bono & the Great Dane – witty and smart opposites attract, loved the author’s notes!
✨ A Lovable Rogue’s Kiss by Tanya Wilde London, a frustrated debutante, her clueless best friend, the aha moment of a lifetime – a brilliantly entertaining BFFs-to-lovers romp
The others: - Dreams Entangled in Deception by Dawn Brower - When a Rogue is in Vogue by Amanda Mariel - The One With the Forever Duke by Eliana Piers
Seven brand new novellas from some of my favourite authors. All were well written & an ideal way to introduce yourself to historical romance.
Waylaid By A Rogue - Carrie Lomax
Artemesia Longwood, a young widow is traveling to her cousin Margaret's to help with her baby. Along the way, she discovers an unconscious nude man in the bushes. When he awakes, he‘s lost his memory. A absolute delight, humour, steam & great characters
The One With The Forever Duke - Eliana Piers
On her wedding day Etta runs away with Wilhem. Her brother’s former best friend. An easy to read novella with some steam.
The Ardor Of An Architect - Linda Rae Sande
After Isabella's father passes away, she moves to Scotland looking to start a dressmaking business. She looks up her friends from childhood, especially Daniel, an up-and-coming architect. Who would have thought a kiss would change Daniel’s life. Another lovely novella
Loves Curiosities - Aubrey Wynne
Will, a barrister is feeling down when he comes across a curio shop. He purchases a charm recommended by the owner of the shop. He meets Tia at a party and is immediately attracted to her. She is still grieving her fiancé who died three years ago but is attracted to Will. Everything’s going well until a fall spells disaster. Lovely characters & lovely chemistry I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own
This is a collection of seven stories full of mischief, manipulation, misunderstandings, surprises, and steam. You will find well meaning and irritating family members, trips to Scotland, second chances, sudden realizations of love, witty banter, creative plots, hot kisses, and a variety of vivid characters. Each story is quick, exciting and entertaining. A lovely addition to any romance library!
Dreams Entangled in Deception - Dawn Brower Horatia Whitaker and Lachlan MacKay, Duke of Montclaire It was no secret to his aunt, the Dowager Countess of Peregine, that Lachlan MacKay, the Duke of Montclaire, hated his neighbor the Earl of Rosebery. Appointing herself as the matchmaker for her neices and nephews, the Dowager used his feelings for the Earl to fascilitate an unusual meeting of a young lady whom she thought would make him the perfect Duchess. Lady Horatia Whitaker, daughter of the Duke of Hampstead and cousin of the Earl of Rosebery, was involved in a carriage accident enroute to the Earl’s Scotland wedding. She was rescued by Lachlan who thought he was abducting the Earl’s betrothed, hoping to seduce her and ruin the Earl’s impending marriage. What he did not count on was falling for her. This story is a testament to the Countess’ machinations, the blindness of hatred, and the danger of assumptions. It is quick, entertaining, and satisfying.
Waylaid by a Rogue - Carrie Lomax Artemisia Longwood (28) and Hendrick (Henry) Hancock, Duke of Voss The widowed Artemisia Longwood was traveling to her cousin’s home to help with the birthing and care of her soon to be born baby, when she spied an unconscious naked man by the side of the road. With the help of her driver and footman, she got him into her carriage and took him to the inn where she had a reservation. When he awoke, he had a powerful headache, a black eye, and no memory of who he was. Having to share a room, due to the lack of any other accomodations, led to verbal teasing and physical temptation. By the time she had to leave for her cousin’s, Henry (a name they had arbitrarily chosen) still had no memory of his past. It was arranged that he would stay with a local viscount who had been out of town. When the viscount returned, he recognized Henry and filled him in on his recent past. Meanwhile, Artemisia’s cousin had a baby boy. As she was preparing to head home, Henry arrived with an explanation and new agenda. This is a heartfelt story filled with playful banter and steam. Concussed Henry is an endearing rogue, and Artemisia (what a horrible name) is a delightfully self-aware woman who feels a bit guilty for her scandalous side. There is a lightness to this tale that makes it such a joyful read.
When A Rogue is in Vogue - Amanda Mariel Lady Esme Jones (21) and James Dearborn, Viscount Redford Lady Esme Jones was the sister of Harrison Jones, Viscount Woodmere. Her mother and brother were pushing her to marry Cedric Hargrove, Viscount Watford, a steady and respectable man who was obsessed with ink and tidy ledgers. Esme wanted fun, excitement and choice. James Dearborn, Viscount Redford, was irreverent, charming and more than happy to empower Esme’s mischievious side. As a matter of fact, James, Esme and her friend Genny playfully created the Mutual Mischief Society with the understanding that they neither ruin reputations nor act with cruelty. As they progress, Esme and James fall for each other, but James has publicly stated for years that he never intends to marry. But the heart wants what the heart wants, and after fear is faced, choices are made. This is a creative tale filled with clever dialogue, crazy escapades, familial pressure, and patient supportive friendships. I love that this includes characters we have met before, and that James and Esme see and accept each other just as they are. Such a fun story!
The One With The Forever Duke - Eliana Piers Etta and Wilhem Duke of Frompton Etta had been in love with Wilhem, the Duke of Frompton, forever. Wilhem and her brother Leland used to be best friends until they had a major falling out. On the day of her wedding to a man picked by Leland, Wilhem snuck into her room and invited her to come away with him…and she did. After their departure, truths are spoken, the air is cleared, and things get physical. This is a deliciuos story, filled with discovery and steam!
The Ardor of an Architect - Linda Rae Sande Isabella Farmsworth and Daniel Sinclair (27) Twenty-seven year old Daniel Sinclair was an architect in New Town, Edinburgh, Scotland. One day his secretary ushered a beautiful young lady into his office. Daniel had no idea who she was, but she certainly knew him. He was quite shocked when she kissed him, then departed without revealing her name. Unfortunately, rumors about the kiss spread quickly and all of a sudden Daniel gained a reputation as a rogue. After a few inquiries, he discovered that his visitor was Isabella, a childhood playmate. He sought her out and things heated up, resulting in marriage. Although Isabella’s forwardness seems questionable, Daniel’s eagerness and innocence is endearing, while Callum’s brief appearance provides comic relief. This story is sweet, surprising and steamy.
Love’s Curiosities: Tia and Will - Aubrey Wynne Florentia (Tia) Baldwin and William Page Barrister William (Will) Page was a barrister and the youngest son of the Earl of Beecham. Periodically he took cases representing the lower class for free, especially if they were unfairly accused by a peer or peeress. He found that it was starting to take a toll on him emotionally…so many people in need, and he could only help a few. One day after a case, he found himself at Percival’s Providence Shop of Curiosities, where he discovered a odd looking man with white hair, glasses and a black cat. Percival Peabody seemed to know exactly what Will needed and sent him off with a small Asian Fu dog figurine that would protect him from the negative and attract the positive. It was intended to help him find balance. Three years ago Lady Florentia (Tia) Baldwin’s fiance died in a hunting accident shortly after they had become engaged. She was just now inching her way back into society. Tia met Will at a house party thrown by her best friend Meg, whose husband Simon, was good friends with Will. After spending the two weeks together, Will asked to court Tia, and all seemed to be going well until an unfortunate incident occurred in the garden at a ball. Preconceived notions and lack of experience and understanding led to inappropriate remarks and a disconserting separation. However, parental advice and undetected observation had Tia eating crow, resulting in a happy reconcilliation. I loved this story, with its mystical shop owner, and adorable and humble hero. I really enjoyed hearing about Meg and Simon, Lord Weston and Annette, and Phoebe and Charles, all characters who were previously featured in their own happy ending tale. So good!
A Lovable Rogue’s Kiss - Tanya Wilde Lady Nancy Byrne (20) and Jeremy Locke, Earl of Silverton Lady Nancy Byrne and Jeremy Locke, the Earl of Silverton, are best friends … and she is in love with him. At her brother’s wedding, an inebriated Nancy confessed her feelings to a seriously foxed Jeremy, and she took his response as a complete rejection. After two years of unrequited love, Nancy is determined to move on, and has decided that notorious rake, the Marquess of Knoxley, is the man to help her do it. Jeremy finds that unacceptable. A kiss creates an ah-ha moment that unleashes years of denial and frustration, while an unexpected exhibition of possessiveness and jealousy seals their fate. Characterwise, there is the obliging rogue, the grumpy brother and the best friend trying to be the voice of reason all the way to Scotland. This is such an entertaining tale!.

The Rogue to Forever is a heartwarming and witty anthology is brimming with humor, heart, and romantic escapism. Fans of romantic misadventures and charming family meddling will be grinning long after the final page. Step into a world of scandals, seduction, and rogues—where every scandal is expected, passion is inevitable, and every rogue has a captivating story to tell.
Dreams Entangled In Deception - Dawn Brower
I absolutely adored this charming little novella! The story begins with a mischievous Aunt whose well-meaning interference sets a delightful chain of events into motion. Lachlan McKay, a lonely Duke with a grudge against his neighbor, seizes an opportunity to meddle when he mistakes Lady Horatia Whitaker for his neighbor’s intended bride and swoops in to rescue her after her coach loses a wheel. What begins as an attempt to ruin his neighbor’s plans quickly entangles Lachlan in an unexpected romance and a marriage he never intended to make.
I loved how the author skillfully balanced humor and heart, allowing this reluctant Duke to be swept up in love despite his initial bad intentions. The Aunt’s playful scheming adds a wonderful touch of mischief, and I hope the author has plans for more of her matchmaking antics in future stories.
Waylaid By A Rogue - Carrie Lomax
Lady Artemesia “Artie” Longwood, a young widow, travels to her cousin Margaret’s home to help with the imminent arrival of Margaret’s baby. On her journey, she stumbles upon an unconscious, naked man hidden in the bushes. When he awakens, he has no memory of who he is or how he got there.
Though brief, this short story is packed with heart and emotion. Artie longs for a family of her own and believes she cannot have children, making her journey of self-discovery and passion all the more poignant. Her connection with the mysterious Henry is filled with humor, fiery chemistry, and a sense of the unknown. The story delivers laugh-out-loud moments, surprising twists, and a satisfying extended epilogue that leaves a lasting impression. It’s a delightful, heartfelt read that combines romance and intrigue perfectly.
When A Rogue Is In Vogue - Amanda Mariel
Esme James is weary of living under the expectations of her mother and brother. When the notorious rogue James Dearborn and Esme’s closest friend invite her to join a secret “Mutual Mischief Society” to liven up their dull social gatherings, she eagerly agrees. Soon, wagers and playful chaos draw Esme and James together, though neither is willing to admit just how much they seek each other’s company. What begins as lighthearted fun quickly deepens into something more profound.
Esme’s brother, protective and well-meaning, warns her that James has no interest in marriage. His caution is sincere, but it sets the stage for conflict and self-doubt. When secrets are revealed, James must decide whether to run from his feelings or fight for the woman who has captured his heart.
This novella is a delightful blend of charm, humor, and heartfelt romance. I adored James and found myself cheering for this couple from beginning to end.
The One With The Forever Duke - Eliana Piers
On her wedding day Etta runs away with Wilhem. As always, Piers writes this delicious steamy story with heart, passion, determination and lots of laughs. Etta loves Wilhem he loves her but her brother wants better for his sister and he stays away until he rescues her from her wedding. Etta and Wilhem’s love shines despite her brother’s disapproval, and their journey from friends to lovers is invigorating and deliciously romantic.
The Ardor Of An Architect - Linda Rae Sande
This sweet and charming story follows childhood friends Isabella and Daniel as they reconnect in Scotland. What starts off as an misunderstanding between Daniel and Izzy prompts Daniel to reassess his carefully planned life, while Isabella brings warmth and excitement back into it. rethinking his well planned life. A fun, heartwarming journey with lovable characters and a satisfying conclusion.
Loves Curiosities - Aubrey Wynne
William Page is a barrister torn between his charity work and his deep desire to right the wrongs he encounters. His commitment to doing good often clashes with his personal struggles—until he discovers Percival’s Providence, a mysterious shop of curiosities. There, a small marble charm and a chance meeting with the grieving Tia ignite an unforgettable spark, leading to a slow-burn romance punctuated by a single, transformative kiss.
A misunderstanding nearly derails their connection, but Tia eventually witnesses Will’s true character and realizes her assumptions were wrong. This heartfelt story explores love, loss, and the joy that comes from opening one’s heart, supported by a vibrant cast of family and friends.
What I especially loved was how the author weaves life’s difficult moments with grace, showing that having someone to help us navigate the darkest times can bring light, love, and joy—if we are willing to open our hearts.
A Loveable Rogue's Kiss - Tanya Wylde
Nancy has loved Jeremy her best friend and he doesn’t have a clue. But she bears her soul and tells him and he does nothing feeling rejected she has decided it is time to move on.
Yet just as another suitor leans in for a kiss, Jeremy interrupts, realizing too late what he’s about to lose. She gives Jeremy a goodbye kiss and is determined to move on. OMG such a fun filled story as Jeremy tries to fix things! This adorable friends-to-lovers story is full of humor, sweet tension, and tender moments. Jeremy’s attempts to make things right had me smiling from beginning to end.
In conclusion, This anthology is a delightful collection of romantic escapades that will leave readers laughing, swooning, and wanting more.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a free Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
An elderly Aunt who misleads her nephew so that he meets the lady she intends for him to marry; a naked man on the side of the road; an architect not recognizing his playmate from years ago now that she is an elegant young woman; a shop that connects good people with a HEA; best friends who somehow fell in love without recognizing it until nearly too late— all these settings form an enjoyable collection of stories that were a delight to read! All but 1 was 5 star in my opinion.
For a deeper description of each story, read on. If you want to be surprised, stop now!
“Dreams Entangled in Deception” -by DAWN BROWER What a unique setting! Ophelia Smythe, the dowager Countess of Peregrine, arranges for her nephew Lachlan MacKay, the Duke of Montclaire to meet the woman SHE intends for him to marry, by nefarious means! Little does Lachlan know that when his aunt gives him information about his disliked neighbor’s bride coming to the wedding, that all is not what he is led to believe! An enjoyable story that “All’s well, that ends well” when it comes to Lachlan’s misadventure by the hand of his aunt! 5*
“Waylaid by a Rogue: A CAVALIER COVE NOVELLA” - by Carrie Lomax Caution! (May not be suitable for all readers) A delightful tale of a widow, Mrs. Artemisia Longwood, finding an unconscious man at the side of the road. A funny, then steamy, romp through their journey A) to help him heal; and B) for her to get to her niece in time for Artie to help with the baby. 5* star, but steamy!
“When a Rogue is in Vogue” - by AMANDA MARIEL A fresh story that brings 2 somewhat mis-fits in society together, despite the objections of Lady Esme’s brother, her “guardian” as her father has apparently died. The Characters: We have Lady Esme Jones, a spontaneous soul, who wants something more out of life than marriage to a “dull” man only concerned about keeping things (including her!) orderly. Esme’s brother, Harrison Jones, Viscount Woodmere, is the epitome of what she thinks she doesn’t want, despite her recognition that he wants only the best for her—-the best as he sees it. Her friend, Genny, who sees and loves the Esme that is just a bit different, and supports Esme being herself and pursuing her dreams. She even dabbles a bit along the way to help ensure Esme’s life turns out the way Esme wants. Esme finds an ally, James Dearborn, Viscount Redford, another “mis-fit” in society as he is seen as a rogue, likely to turn out as his father, leaving any family whom he may acquire in financial distress. What society doesn’t see, is the kind, caring man that lies beneath the surface. James HIMSELF is afraid he will turn out like his father, and never makes the effort to change the way society might perceive him. Then, Esme comes along, whom he finds refreshing and supporting. He realizes he can rise above his father’’s wayward path and become the man Esme sees. Summary: I found this story refreshing: the characters were well drawn and not superficial; the plot was well worked out; the scenes were more interesting than the typical “soirée” , ball or dinner. I found this story showing a great deal of growth by this author, who seems to be coming into her own. 5* star story
“The One With the Forever Duke” - by Eliana Piers Caution! Not appropriate for all ages! Etta and Wilhelm love each other, but Etta’s brother Leland warned Wilhelm off some time ago. Wilhelm heeded the warning, and tried to leave her alone. Warned by his sister Tilly that Etta was to marry a man her brother approved of, but whom Etta did not love, Wilhelm went to rescue Etta from marrying. A short story with a lot of xxx. Aside from saying the couple will reach their HEA, there is not much else I can say. It seems to be part of a series, as there is a “hook” suggesting another couple has feelings for each other that one can read about in another story.
The Ardor of an Architect - by LINDA RAE SANDE Heartwarming story! Daniel Sinclair, architect in Edinburgh, is shocked by a kiss from a woman he did not know (or, as it turns out, he did not recognize!). Isabella Farnsworth and her brother had spent summers playing together with Daniel when Daniel visited his grandparents’ home. The playful little girl in his memory that was always dirty from playing outside with her brother and his friends, is completely obliterated by the well dressed young woman that appeared in his office. A happy story of childhood friends who become happily married lovers. Delightful! 5*
“Love’s Curiosities: Tia and Will” - by Aubrey Wynne Will Jones is a solicitor with a heart that is weighed down by all the heartless people around him. He finds he is unable to protect the whole world, the injustice of which is nearly drowning him. To escape the darkness encroaching upon his heart, he stopped to shop on the way home, hoping to find something beautiful to brighten his life. He finds the item he needs at “Percival’s Providence: A Shop of Curiosities”. It brightens his life in a way he could not have foreseen, by leading him to the woman he needs. A touching story for all ages. 5*
A Lovable Rogue’s Kiss - by Tanya Wilde A sweet bon-bon of a story! Best friends for years, Nancy had realized she was in love with Jeremy. He, however, was unaware that the possessiveness he felt was because he loved her in return! What will it take for Jeremy to recognize what his own feelings are? A story appropriate for all ages. 5*.

Horatia is on her way to her cousin’s wedding. Lachlan is doing his best to thwart his nasty neighbor. I adored how Aunt Ophelia played Lachlan and how sneaky she was. I enjoyed how the author did such a good job of play on words to create the chaos. A cute story. 5 stars
Waylaid by a Rogue by Carrie Lomax
This story touched me with the infertility subject. Having dealt with that myself, I totally understood Artemisia’s feelings and pain, especially holding a baby. Henry is a hoot and it was fun to watch how they complimented each other. Truly a wonderful story and it even has a bonus epilogue! 5 stars
When a Rogue is in Vogue by Amanda Mariel
Life is about choices and it hurts when your choices are taken away. I ABSOLUTELY Adored this story! It is a laugh a minute, mischievous , romp of Esme wanting to be herself and Redford, who is afraid to be himself. I really didn’t want this story to end and HOPE that Genny and Harrison get their story. It would be too good to miss! 5 stars!
The One with the Forever Duke by Eliana Piers
This story started out really well and then dove into a lot of sex and f-bomb and not enough story. I could see one love scene in this short story, but there was no character development to speak of and did not really enjoy it that much. 3 stars.
The Ardor of an Architect by Linda Rae Sande
I have to say, Isabella was not very likable to me at first. Paying someone to spread gossip and putting Daniel on the spot seemed calculating and cruel. Daniel sounded like Henry Cavill to me and that was JUST FINE! I adored the story as the characters felt real and the plot well thought out. 4 stars.
Love’s Curiosities: Tia and Will by Aubrey Wynne
I love stories with flawed characters. It makes me realize I am not alone with my thoughts and failures. Will is a barrister, seeing the side of life no one should live, leaving him melancholy. Tia is a woman with intelligence and wants to be able to speak her mind. I loved their story of love, laughter, pain and heartache. It made them feel real and I was glad to see that sometimes the woman is wrong. I adored the fountain scene-made me laugh. Really good story. 5 stars.
A Lovable Rogue’s Kiss by Tanya Wilde
Nancy has had enough…period. She will no longer wait for her best friend, Jeremy to love her in return. I enjoyed how dense Jeremy was and his sudden awakening. An adorable story! 5 stars.

In Dreams Entangled in Deception, Lachlan’s aunt is using his feud with his neighbor to entice him to go after the intended bride. But what happens when he kidnaps the wrong girl or did he? Horatia is on her way to her cousin’s wedding when Lachlan rescues her from a carriage accident. She falls for him but can she forgive his actions? Their relationship escalates quickly in this highland romance.
In Waylaid by a Rogue, Artemisia rescues a naked man with amnesia. Henry is attracted to the widow and they engage in a steamy affair but he doesn’t remember who he is and will she still want him when he does?
In When a Rogue is in Vogue, James agree to help Esme escape her dull suitors and they agree to engage in harmless mischief to overcome boredom. They engage in some funny moments and mishaps. But what happens when they fall for each other and James is determined not to marry and drag someone down like his father did? Esme’s friend Genny was a riot and a potential opposites attract for her serious brother?
In The One with the Forever Duke, Wilhelm convinces Etta to stand up her groom because he wants her for himself if only her brother will allow it. This was a steamy romance.
The Ardor of an Architect, Daniel is kissed by his childhood friend Isabella and all his clients assume it’s because they are engaged. I wondered if she set them up because she wanted to be married. This was a steamy romance that escalated quickly.
In Love's Curiosities Tia and Will, barrister Will is feeling emotionally drained after defending the less fortunate against their employers who profit from passing their crimes off on others. Tia lost her betrothed and she just starts to notice a man again, Will in particular. But will his magic charm to ward off depressing thoughts cause him to lose her when he refuses to discuss injustices?
In A Loveable Rogue's Kiss, Nancy is tired of her unrequited love on her best friend Jeremy and decides to move on with a rake. Will Jeremy realize his feelings for Nancy before it’s too late?
I enjoyed this compilation of short stories from several historical romance authors. They are quick reads with fun characters, witty banter, and lots of romance. Two of my favorite stories were The Ardor of an Architect by Linda Rae Sande and Waylaid by a Rogue by Carrie Lomax.
The Ardor of an Architect is about architect Daniel and seamstress Isabella. Isabella shows up at Daniel’s office in Edinburgh hoping to rekindle an old friendship. When she starts to give him an innocent kiss on the cheek, she ends up in a slightly more passionate embrace. Sadly, after she leaves his office Daniel still doesn’t know her name and doesn’t recognize his childhood friend. He gets a little help from a mutual friend, after which he seeks out Isabella. Their romance takes off from there.
In Waylaid by a Rogue, Artemisia discovers a naked man on the side of the road. He can’t remember anything about how he got there, or even his own name. They settle on calling him Henry. Artemisia tries to find anyone who knows him in the local village. Finally, Artemisia leaves Henry to stay at the home of the local viscount so that she can continue on her journey to her pregnant cousin’s home. She stays there for a while to help her cousin give birth, then care for her baby. She’s surprised when several weeks later Henry shows up to find her and proposes marriage. He has begun to recover his memories, and it turns out he is a duke!
What a great collection of stories by these fabulous authors, each offering so much in their own novella. Full of everything you can want and so much more. Drama, society, broken carriage wheels, nude men, scandal, steam, laughs, passion, run away, witty, sadness, love, misunderstandings, sweetness, chemistry, grief and intrigue. All these characters are on an emotional or personal journey to do what's best for them or maybe not. They are all multidimensional offering a unique reaction to every interaction. Best of all they all get their happily ever after. Dreams entangled in deception by Dawn Brower. Lachlan McKay is a Duke who really doesn't care for his neighbor so when given a chance to do an injustice to him he does. Given some information that is incorrect by his Aunt, he plans to interfere with the neighbor's wedding. Lachlan decides to take the bride to be but only to find out that he has Lady Horatia Whitaker, the cousin of the bride. Horatia is the cousin to the bride and very surprised at how she meets him and how he behaves. Lots of feelings and heat between them. The other stories are by these excellent authors , who have written others books that are loved. Together they all have a 5 plus story to share with readers. Would recommend to everyone.

Wow, what a great read are all the books in this collection. I loved them all, some more than others as you will too. I have read all the authors in this book, which is why I couldn’t wait to read it. There is something for everyone in these stories, some steamy, some not but each is full of emotion and love. I was going to write a note about each, but so many other reviews have done that, and there is only so much you can say about a short story without giving the best parts away. So instead, I thought I would give you a hint of what you will find within the pages. You will find a scheming aunt, with the best hopes of love for her nephew. A widow who has grieved for a long time finds a naked man by the road and being a good person she can’t leave him there can she? Oh, by the way, he's sinfully handsome.... A sinfully handsome man is kissed by a stranger in his office in plain sight of everyone. Is she a stranger? How long can best friends be just friends when they are no longer kids, but all grown up and one needs to have more. She couldn’t wait any longer after he laughed at her. What he does next will have you sighing. Everyone who loves regent, romance needs to run and grab this collection before it's gone. I received ARC from the authors and wish to thank them. This is my honest opinion, and I am freely giving it.
Oh wow.... I will have to say... I am totally into this collection. None of these books are connected but they are all so much... well just sooo much! Dawn Brower - got me hooked, intrigued, and curious of what awaits; Carrie Lomax - satisfied and smiling; Amanda Mariel - I was smiling more, laughing and getting strange looks from those around me with my outbursts.; Eliana Piers- i was blushing I skipped over it.(this story is mostly a bedrooms scene with a little bit of plot) Linda Rae Sande - satisfied my romantic historian side. Thank you Linda Aubrey Wynne - guaranteed a curiosity that went beyond this book. Tanya Wilde - well strengthened my belief that in every gentle lovable man a rogue is under there somewhere! Thank you Ladies for an exquisite adventure! I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. This book is a fantastic collection of seven stories by seven fantastic authors!! These books are not interconnected they only have the common theme of a rogue falling in love.
My review is not focusing one any particular story or author. Overall I loved this book and thought it was awesome!! These are some of my favorite authors and I enjoyed reading every story in the book. The book was full of entertainment, down right delightful and had lots of romance in it!! I thought each story was well written and very enjoyable to read. Each story was uniquely written and the author did a great job with their own unique story. The book is full of wonderful characters and truly there is something for everyone to enjoy. I absolutely loved it!! I highly recommend this book!!
I love this collection by some of my favorite authors. Nothing like a feisty heroine who surprises a previously unrepentant rogue. Through in a touch of magic or some serendipitous matchmaking and it's a glorious escape from the day. Two of my favorites include "Dreams Tangled in Deception" by Dawn Brower and "Love's Curiosities: Tia and Will" by Aubrey Wynne.

Seven Rogues! All 7 of these books are charmingly entertaining, have an interesting subject matter and situation and some adorable ladies just waiting for the love of their lives to wake up and do the honorable thing. It was a pleasurable reading experience which I thoroughly enjoyed and having read an early copy of this collection, I am happy to leave my voluntary review.
Every story has a little twist on what it means to be a rogue which makes the story more fun. It starts with a relative working to get her loved one married to the perfect partner. There are a couple of stories of childhood friends. I greatly enjoyed the short story of the rakette. This is a fun anthology and is very appealing to historical romance readers.
Reviewing for Linda Rae Sande. This is a short and fun story to read about how to trap your man. All it takes is one kiss from a stranger and suddenly Daniel is a Rogue. Well written with wonderful characters but not much steam. I know several of the other authors and I am sure I will enjoy their stories as well when I get a chance to read them all.
It’s like someone took my favorite authors and said “All gather here!” You will laugh, cry and cheer and Rogues are humbled, clothed and brought to their knees! Bravo and please do this again!. One of my favorites was the hero was naked in the bushes with Amnesia!

I’ve grown to love reading these shorter stories as a break from the longer ones. I did love the characters and the story kept me glued to finishing. Next time you finish a long Cozy, pick up a smaller novella, and you will relax and enjoy it. This one would be a good place to start
Novellas involving reformed rogues, accidental rogues, and even “Roguess”. Stories to make you laugh, love, cry, and think. Wonderfully written by excellent authors.

I just love collections like this one, they offer the chance to reconnect with authors I´ve already read and to meet authors that are new to me. Each story has an individual plot and unique characters, so I was entertained all the time.
This is another great anthology that Dawn Brower is part of. The stories are varied which kept me reading and looking forward to the next story. A great book!.

An enjoyable anthology written by several authors, all with witty parts. I especially liked the descriptions of the projects in Linda Rae Sande's story about the architect.
Loved reading this fabulous well written new anthology of Regency romances. All the stories can be read standalone, there is something for everyone in this anthology of romances
