If you have more than a billion dollars, they're coming for you.
A mysterious group calling themselves the Dragon Slayers has declared war on anyone worth over $1 billion. With stolen crypto and a hit list of billionaires, they've turned the elite's greatest weapon against the very people who serve them.
Unlock a door. Share a location. Change a route. Every small act of rebellion earns millions in reward money. The Dragon Slayers flood entire communities with stolen billions, turning desperate people into allies.
Their message is Reduce your wealth to under one billion dollars or face the consequences.
For FBI Deputy Director Charlotte "Charlie" Grayson, this is the case of her career. But as the Dragon Slayers pump stolen money into public hands, meeting needs the system has ignored, ordinary people begin questioning everything Charlie has sworn to protect. With each payout, support grows and the government cracks down harder. Panic spreads through corporate boardrooms while unrest builds in the streets, turning Charlie's investigation into a maze of shifting loyalties and deadly choices.
The deeper Charlie digs, the more everything blurs together. Are the Dragon Slayers terrorists using public desperation, or are they exposing truths the system wants buried? And as the government gets more violent with each passing day, Charlie must navigate a dangerous game where one wrong move could destroy everything.
Dragon Eat the Rich is a fast-paced political thriller where justice has a price, corruption runs deep, and the revolution doesn't break down doors. It pays to be let inside.
Perfect for readers who love conspiracy thrillers, anti-establishment stories, and tales where the powerless fight back.
I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not paid for my review.
“If you have more than a billion dollars, they're coming for you.”
That line alone sets the stage for a wild, fast-paced political thriller. Dragon Eat the Rich dives headfirst into the chaos of modern inequality, rebellion, and moral gray areas. A group calling themselves the Dragon Slayers has declared war on billionaires—stealing crypto, redistributing wealth, and forcing the ultra-rich to choose between their fortunes or their lives.
FBI Deputy Director Charlotte “Charlie” Grayson is caught in the middle of it all. As she hunts down the Dragon Slayers, the line between justice and corruption begins to blur. The deeper she goes, the more she’s forced to question not just her mission, but the very system she’s sworn to protect.
Now, this book was interesting. The concept of “Eat the Rich” feels ripped straight from today’s headlines. It’s bold, relevant, and a bit uncomfortable in the best way. Yes, it’s political—very much so—but it’s also a total trainwreck you can’t look away from. I kept asking myself: Are the Dragon Slayers really villains? Are they killing billionaires? Will there be a coup? Is the U.S. about to turn into 1984?
So much happens, and it all unfolds with breakneck pacing. I couldn’t put it down.
If you enjoy conspiracy thrillers, morally gray heroes, and anti-establishment stories that make you question who the “good guys” really are, this one’s worth your time.
Dragon Slayers review I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. I was not paid for these words and opinions. 4 stars
“Incompetence combined with unchecked ego is catastrophic.”
If you believe that books are not political, this book is not for you. However, if you are struggling in this world we call society today and are filled with rage beyond compare, this book is everything you need and want. It follows the FBI while they try to track down a group that has been labeled as terrorists, the Dragon Slayers.
It’s like reading your social media feed, but on a much larger, deadlier scale. K. A. Pendrake criticizes the greed and violence of our society as well as how quickly those in power will turn against those who aren’t. This book makes you question what side you should be on as everything falls apart in front of your face. Are the Dragon Slayers really bad? Or is this administration more corrupt than the terrorists?
Everything crashes together in this suspenseful psychological thriller. You do not want to miss this party.
I got my hands on a early release because I had the wonderful opportunity to be a Beta reader for this author. It's five stars because I genuinely enjoyed reading this book, from the very beginning drafts to the one the rest of the world gets to read. Every revision and change I came back and read it again and now I get to read it over again and again because that's how much I loved the story and the characters. If you like spy novels and books like The Hunt for Red October or anything Tom Clancy has written, then you're gonna love this book and this writer, because every time I read this I wanted to read it again. Read it and find out if I was right, and when you do, make sure to say " wow that was awesome, thanks Chris".
Dinosorous The worldbuilding is well-constructed, and the story premise is believable, exploring the limitations and extent of massive wealth. Do the super-wealthy always forget their status before amassing all that wealth? The prose posed that question in a modern way. But of course, it must be investigated by the able FBI director, Charlie. Can she slay the dragon? You be the judge. I like it.
Fast, bold, and uncomfortably relevant, this thriller dives into wealth, power, and the chaos between justice and revenge. The Dragon Slayers blur every moral line while Charlie races to keep control of a world tipping toward rebellion. Tense, thought-provoking, and hard to put down, it keeps you questioning everyone.
Great read. This forced you to ask yourself what “justice” really looked like. One of those books where you were on the side of the villain and somewhat torn on what side you’re on. Would absolutely read again
