Okay, yes, I am an author on this anthology!
But I absolutely loved my co-authors’ work, and they really impressed me with the depth, detail, and emotion they put into these stories. I journeyed back to the Dutch Golden Age in a colorful, unique and moving dramatic tale by Eva Cedarland. I also braved the Canadian Wilderness and felt like I was an explorer on David Thompson’s team in Shanea Rinn’s second-chance love story. And I was thrust back to autumnal Appalachia in Emily Ann’s redemptive romance set during the Great Depression.

You really will not be disappointed for giving these stories a try! They pair perfectly with a cup of tea and a cozy blanket.

Delightful anthology with wonderful autumn background that enchants regardless of time or place. I typically don’t read novellas, but find them a great way to ‘meet’ new authors. Each of these authors were new to me and I really enjoyed their unique styles. Looking forward to reading more of their works in the future.

I loved the way this anthology moved through time. Starting in the 1600’s and progressing through each century. Each story has a sweet romance but set in totally different times, with different politics etc.

The first one is a wonderful marriage of convenience story, giving off a little Amy and Laurie from Little Women vibes. The setting was one readers don’t visit often, that of the great Tulip Fever.

The second story is set during the American revolution, following the thoughts of a young woman, put forth in her journal. The story is titled Loyalty and centers around the theme of political loyalty and familial loyalty.

The third story was a sweet second chance at romance set against the magnificent backdrop of the explorations to find a water route to the Pacific Ocean. I loved the setting of the fur trading posts and the friendships between the early traders and the native peoples. Evaline is a wonderful heroine, showing a lot of grit and courage as she leaves all the comforts of home to join an expedition. I really liked the way the author wove a compelling faith thread throughout, one that flowed naturally with the story.

The fourth story is set in a NC mill town in 1929. A young woman is starting over. After suffering broken trust and rejection, she finds it difficult to learn to trust and love again. I loved the simple setting and life of the people in this village. Really enjoyed all the fall vibes.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Since I only contributed one story to this anthology, I want to shine a light on the other three. Eva’s story is beautifully cozy and romantic. Think Little Women vibes! Shanea’s tale is sweeping and heart-wrenching, larger than life in the best way. Jessika’s story captures many rich historical details and takes you on an emotional roller coaster (one I was glad to ride!). Altogether, this anthology makes you feel like a fly on the wall during the cozy autumn season, journeying with four unforgettable women across four centuries.

One of My Favorite Reads This Year – A Moving, Romantic Journey Through Time
“A Fall Through Time” is a stunning anthology that has quickly become one of my favorite books of the year. Each story is a beautifully crafted blend of historical fiction and romance, and though the stories are short, they are packed with emotional depth and resonance.
What truly sets this collection apart is how deeply the authors explore the power and vulnerability of romantic love. These aren't just love stories—they're stories of connection, of healing, and of finding hope even in the face of loss. The themes of forgiveness and resilience are woven throughout, making each narrative feel profound and authentic.
The emotional impact of these stories lingers long after the last page, and I found myself completely swept away by the vivid historical settings and the heartfelt characters. A Fall Through Time is a must-read for anyone who appreciates meaningful, beautifully told romances that transcend time.

This book takes you on a journey through time, and into the lives of four unique and well-written women. They are stories of love and loss, death and rebirth, and deep wounds being healed. I loved experiencing these eras of time through such rich lenses as could be offered in spite of the short length of each story.

A lovely cozy read for curling up in a reading chair and sipping a warm drink.

Okay. Where do I start? 😂 While it doesn’t quite rank in my all-time favorites, this is certainly my favorite anthology (I don’t read a *lot* of anthologies, so take that with a grain of salt).

Time constraints force me to refrain from reviewing each story individually—perhaps I shall do so at a later date.

Collectively, the settings were unique and picturesque. The autumn vibe was certainly captured. I LOVED the historical settings/time periods. I wanted more descriptions of them, but I always do. 😅

The characters are vivid and well-written, the romances sweet but clean. The plots are refreshingly new, despite being somewhat simplified/shortened to fit inside an anthology. I can’t wait to get my hands on the longer works of these authors after seeing how well they write in brief for an anthology.

Out of all of the stories in Fall Through Time, Wyatt was my favorite character. 😂 Anyone who knows me will see why in an instant when they read the book.

I’m going to do my best in reviewing these stories without giving anything away as this book is a collection of short stories.

1636 The Final Bloom by Eva Cedarland
This is such a sweet story of a woman desperately trying to care for her sister’s, knowing the only way to guarantee even the slightest success is to marry. In the nick of time, Saskia is rescued by an old friend, who also needs to be rescued himself. This story turned into something I wasn’t expecting! Eva Cedarland did an amazing job with this story!

1776 Loyal by Jessica Caruso
I couldn’t help thinking while reading this one about how much it reminded me of The Frozen River by Arial Lawhon. Maybe it was time period, maybe Catharine reminded me of the MFC, Martha Ballard, maybe the flow in which it was written. I’m not sure but I kept thinking it reminded me of that book.
I enjoyed Catharine’s story. What a show of strength in such an extremely difficult time! Being forced to test her faith, loyalty, and love while trying to keep her family safe. Jessica Caruso writes beautifully! I’m excited to read her other book!

1811 Sealed On My Heart by Shanea Rinn
I really enjoyed Evaline and Finn’s story. So much longing and hope for redemption. What a testament to handing your troubles and wants to God and letting it be in His hands. The writing was so beautiful and full of a detail! Shanea Rinn is definitely an author I will be keeping an eye on!

1929 Not This Time by Emily Ann
I personally connected with this story. Having gone through a similar situation as Hazel, it just hit me in the feels! It’s a wonderful story of strength, patience, and faith. I loved how sweet and kind Wyatt was with Hazel, so patient and understanding. He definitely made my heart flutter!
Emily Ann is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Beautiful writing and incredible story telling.

Overall, each of the short stories were amazing. I didn’t feel like any of them were lacking anything, especially considering they are short stories. I saw another reviewer say she wanted more, like an extension in the stories, to know more about what happens after. I have to agree that I didn’t want to stop reading about each of these couples!

All of the characters and their stories are so compelling and just draw you in! I just wanted to sit with them a little longer! But that’s the beauty of reading, their stories end but they stay within your heart forever.

All of the authors did an amazing just with this; such a unique piece of art! What I loved most is how each story complimented each other even though they had no connections to one another.

This is the perfect book to sit down and snuggle up in a cozy blanket during a nice crisp fall day. Chefs kiss!

I was so excited to able to read this Fall Anthology.
I don't normally read short stories, but I found that I liked the change of pace.
It was such a treat to read stories set during the Fall Season. It had all the cozy feels and beautiful Autumn scenery descriptions. I wished I could climb into a few of the places in Fall Through Time.

I will say though, that each of the stories had so much heart, and you became endeared to the characters fairly quickly, that it made me want to know more about what happened to them after the happy ending.

The different time periods of each of the stories was a nice touch as well. I have never really been drawn to Historical Fiction before. But after reading this, I really want to explore this genre more.

I especially appreciated that each book had no spice. I didn't have to worry about content or being taken by surprise. These were sweet love stories that made your heart happy and brought a smile to your face at the end.

So, if you're looking for a cozy Fall read, that takes you back in time & into beautiful places with sweet love stories, I highly recommend Fall Through Time. It will probably become a seasonal re-read for me.

Ahh! What to say? There is so much I could say about this book, but honestly, it's better to experience it for yourself.

Each of these stories is a delight to read, and these ladies did a wonderful job with this beautiful anthology! I absolutely adored getting to meet these characters and reading their stories in this autumn-themed collection.

(I don't want to risk spoilers, so I won't say too much, but hopefully I'll get around to sharing a brief look at my thoughts and reactions for each story here...soon? No promises, but I'd like to. ☺️)

The first story in the anthology starts out with a sense of loss and a mystery, and in some ways, this almost sets the tone of the anthology, and I love how these stories. It's almost like they are a team in part of a relay race, passing the baton on to the next as one closes and the next begins. The anthology captures the sense of autumn so well, and it pairs beautifully with the timeless themes found in each of these stories. Hope, longing, trials, enduring faith, and a whispered promise that God's way is always best. The collection does a wonderful job of carrying the reader through time and around the world, as each new story draws them a little closer to the present.

I can't remember the names of the stories right now, so I'll use the author's name as a placeholder since I'm not sure when I'll get back around to updating this otherwise... XD

1636 The Final Bloom by Eva Cedarland -

This is the first story in the anthology, and it starts with quite a dilemma. I loved being transported to this climactic time in Amsterdam's vivid history. I don't hear of many books set in this area, and even fewer from this time period, so I found this one to be both entertaining and educational in a way. I had known about tulips being important to the region, but hadn't considered how important a role they may have once played.

I loved seeing this family learn to dust themselves off and move forward, against the odds. The main couple in this one brought an emotional twist to a 'second chance' style romance. The parallel between their personal relationship and the chaotic climate surrounding them in their rapidly changing community offered an interesting look at the choices we make and the cost we pay as we attempt to make something of ourselves. Furthermore, begs the question, is the favor of society and all that it offers really worth the cost? Read their story to find out what happens!

1776 Loyal by Jessica Caruso -

I struggled to connect with this one. Still, I did find it to be an enjoyable part of the anthology, and found it interesting to read an American revolutionary tale from a Loyalist's perspective. I was curious to see how everything would turn out, and I liked the almost poetic way the story was told. Overall, it is a good story, and it fits well as a part of the anthology. Despite it not being my favorite, I still enjoyed this one and appreciated the unique look at what it might have been like to live in their shoes at the time.

1811 Sealed On My Heart by Shanea Rinn -

Ah, this was an emotional one. They all are, really, but this one kept me guessing most of all!
I loved getting a glimpse at life on the frontier, and I enjoyed meeting the characters in this one. I especially loved meeting Charlotte. Even as a side character, she holds a unique role in the story. The story captures a glimpse of the rugged and deadly beauty of the untamed wilderness where Evaline and her family made their home.

1929 Not This Time by Emily Ann -

This story! This one has a bit of mystery of its own. I loved Hazel's determination and spunk that was apparent even from the start. It paired well with Wyatt's easy-going and gentle nature. My love for these two only grows as the story goes on, and I think this might just be one of my absolute favorite fictional couples.

As an author of this Anthology, I will not speak to my own story, but would like to speak to the work of my fellow authors.

First, Eva Cedarland's story - The Final Bloom - will absolutely sweep you away from the 21st century and into a world of cobblestone streets, fall scents, and tulips. Saskia is an absolute firecracker, with a determination to survive, and Baastian exudes the pomp and charm of a well-to-do gentleman from the era of the Tulip Mania. The romance is sweet, and fraught with tension, aching the heart and will have you caring, and rooting for the main characters by the last page!
This was my first time reading anything from Eva Cedarland, and let me tell you - it was an absolute treat!
Next, we travel to the 1776 era and meet Jessika Caruso's heroine, Catharine, who is based off a real-to-life character. As I read "Loyal" I felt as if I was truly reading the journal of a historical woman, and was transported back into the era in vivid detail. The romance is unexpected, and rather thought provoking, showing the side of love that is rarely shown; the enduring type that remains loyal no matter the adversity.
After traveling through the 1811 story based on the Canadian Fur trade and exploration, we are introduced to the mill worker era of 1929 in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. Emily Ann weaves an emotionally gripping page turner of second chances, that will have you swooning, and anxious to know the outcome. I found myself sympathizing, as well as silently screaming at Hazel Parker to reach out and grab the second chance of love offered her. And well...you'll just have to read it for yourself.

It was an absolute pleasure working beside these authors, and their tales will flood you with fall vibes like nothing else. A perfect seasonal read!

Fall Through Time is the perfect autumn anthology for history enthusiasts. This anthology took us through various countries and times, and was such a delight to have such variety paired with fall. Right from the beginning, I was hooked.
1636 is set in Holland with a marriage of convenience during the Tulip Fever. I loved watching the two fall in love and learning a little bit about the Tulip Fever.
1776 is set in America during the Revolution. It is written in a journal style. Following the life as a woman while her husband is left to help during the revolution. She finds herself left with her small children and pregnant while living in enemy territory.
1811 is set in the Canadian West during the fur trade. With a heartbreaking mistake, things seem bleak, until a second chance at romance is given. I loved the sense of adventure and exploring the Canadian frontier.
1929 is set in North Carolina. Having to restart Hazel is trying to figure out life, not looking for a second chance at love, she finds herself learning to heal, find hope, and love.
All four of these stories have so much to offer. It was a fun glimpse into the past.

The four stories are all unique, each showing their perspective of a time in history that shaped people’s life.
I enjoyed all of the stories although the second one was not as deep, nor as historic or wholesome as the others.

The first story was fascinating and depicted the time in European history well. From the first pages I was intrigued.
The third story was heartbreaking, extremely touching and yet adventurous and redeeming.
The last story reflected the time in history so well and showed life’s struggles in the light of hope and second chances.
