I think Marian Black hates Marco. This is the second or so book I’ve read that she’s made a character named Marco and she wrote him like she hated him.

Next. I realise Black just copy paste rinse and repeat. I think I’ve read this story before and damn I think I know the ending. It’s the same story following the same pattern just with the same characters all given the same names but to different people in the book.

Yes. This is my next annoyance. Black gives the same character names in almost all her books. Like. I’M SO CONFUSED. So… Luca was the brother in the last book but now he is the capo and next he is the father and now he is the son. Confused or what?? Please. If you are going to write books all in the same genre but are not connected to one another can you please make up some more creative names.

Now. To this book. Oh my goodness Joseph is so annoying. He is unreasonable and so selfishly self righteous. So he gets told he has to be part of an arranged marriage and he gets angry at his brother, Marco, because it’s ALL MARCO’S FAULT?? Dude. Marco is ALREADY MARRIED obviously he can’t get married AGAIN!! So yea. Stupid? You see?

Another great book by Marian Black. I love the intrigue she brings to her books and the knowledge she brings to writing about the discussion, verbal fighting, and the proof that has to be presented to the head of the mafia family. I've really enjoyed her books so far.
