I don’t typically drift toward contemporary romances but every so often I find one that keeps me needing more. There was plenty of well timed humor along with a depth and realness to the friendships/relationships amongst the characters that really helped bring everything together. I can’t wait to see what comes from Andi next.

This cute and cozy contemporary romance follows the story of Lexi, a driven estate planner who is also renovating a building and Brian, a contractor she brings in to help her get a rental ready and who could use a leg up. The meet cute is very much adorable. Despite their claims to want to take it slow, they rapidly fall for each other and seem to get how their other ticks. They work. Its a great relaxing read for a snuggly day.

My largest hang up is the third act. I get it, there needs to be some conflict, but the one in this book took me for a spin that I wasn't prepared for, mostly because I was baffled at how wildly out of proportion the reactions of the characters were to what amounted to a small miscommunication. This perhaps is because most of the book is spent inside the characters minds as they reflect and ponder about one another, rather than with actions taking place. Though, when there is action, it is amusing as all get out. The minor characters are wonderful. I'd recommend this one!

This book was both humorous and refreshingly authentic, balancing lighthearted chaos with emotional realism. The characters are were perfect, making it easy to feel as though you are experiencing the story alongside them. The friendships between Lexi, Cass, and Michael is especially enjoyable, offering a well-balanced mix of calm, chaos, and confidence that adds depth to the narrative. Lexi and Brian’s connection is portrayed with honesty, reminding us that love is complicated and challenging, but deeply rewarding when it is shared with the right person. With its blend of humor, heart, and relatable moments, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read.

​Hung Up on You is a standout contemporary romance. Andi Norwich excels at creating believable characters whose struggles feel realistic rather than forced. The dialogue is sharp, witty, and genuinely funny—I found myself laughing out loud more than once. Although there were some minor inconsistencies in the narrative, the emotional stakes were so high and the story so charming that they didn't take away from the overall experience. 5/5 stars for the vibes alone! ⭐

Light hearted romance novels are my favorite, and this one did not disappoint me!! The characters were fun, I loved the cat, and the details were well written. This is a book that I did not want to put down, nor did I want it to end. Can’t wait to see what Andi writes next!!!
