VAST: Only God is Great
What is greatness?
We often speak of things being great--our ideas being rooted in the context of success, personality, or emotion.
Is there something more here that we are missing? Have we settled for the superfluous over the true substance? Have we forgotten there is an absolute for greatness that the entire universe shouts to all who will listen?
Only God is great.
He is greater than our circumstances...
Greater than our challenges...
Greater than any country, king, or villainous despot...
Greater than our efforts of self-preservation...
Greater than our plans or methods...
Greater than our very understanding of life.
From the very beginning, God was. Before anything existed, God did. In the hearts of those who believe, God is.
His glory is on display everywhere around us from the boundlessness of space to the confines of an atom. We need only to lift our eyes and see.
VAST brings us face-to-face with this great God and encourages us to cease our futile striving, find our place in His plan for history, and rest in His perfect sovereignty.
Are you ready to step fully into His vastness?
