Miles and London had insane tension, and I loved their age gap/workplace romance. Miles was a strict lieutenant trying to become captain when London started as a pro or. London had gone through a lot to come to the US and start her firefighter training. I absolutely loved their dynamic in the workplace and how London constantly kept Miles on his toes with her come backs.

Really the only thing I felt was missing was a personal connection to the characters. I don’t think Miles’ family life was mentioned one time, or really who he is outside of a firefighter. We know London went through an abusive relationship with her dad, but it was brushed away. She never opened up about it, and I personally would have loved to see that conversation with Miles.

This book felt very surface level, but it was still such a fun read that really showed the nitty gritty of the firefighter lifestyle. This book had me laughing, smiling and also bawling my eyes out.

Thank you to Alexandra for the ARC!!

Miles is a firefighter who puts his heart and soul into his job. London is a newbie firefighter who has a tough history. Burning Love follows Londons first year as a firefighter in Miles’ crew, and the trials and tribulations of navigating the job. It is a dual pov from both London and Miles.

I loved this book, and flew through it! I loved reading the chemistry between Miles and London. Plus, there’s a puppy!

Definitely recommend this book, which came out yesterday. Proceeds from some sales goes to firefighters and their families, which is amazing!

4 ⭐️ ARC read

Thankful for being picked to read this as an ARC 🥰

Miles is trying to become captain of his station as a fire fighter. London is the newbie in training on his team.

This had the workplace, danger, heartache, spicy romance goods I was hoping for! The main characters are very loveable! I wish a bit more of Londons past was spoken about with her and her mum fleecing New Zealand.

I loved this book and cannot wait for my next read from Alexandra 🩷

I LOVED this story and that most of it happened in the firehouse/on calls. I feel like so many series where the books can be read as standalone it is actually difficult to understand pieces because it will have so much of the side characters from previous books but this story did not. Of course we still had some cameo appearances but nothing too heavily involved

What you’ll get:
Firefighters
Age Gap
Loathe to Love
Dog Dad

Thanks to the author for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Steam and Heartbreak

Burning Love by Alexandra Banks is a fiery forbidden love, enemies-to-lovers romance that absolutely pulls you in. The tension between the characters is electric, and the chemistry delivers plenty of steamy moments that will keep you hooked. But it’s not all heat, be prepared for an emotional ride, with some truly heartbreaking scenes that will have the tears flowing. A passionate, intense story that balances fire with feeling beautifully.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. It had me hooked from the start and had to teach for the tissues a few times. Blubbering mess springs to mind!
Alex has done a wonderful job of writing this storyline and the trials that firefighters face everyday.
Grateful to the men and women that put their lives on the line!

⭐️⭐️⭐️️⭐️/ ️🌶️🌶️🌶️

The LOVE series heats up with Alexandra Banks newest book, Burning Love. When immediate attraction takes place between a rookie firefighter and her Captain hopeful trainer, the only thing that can match it is their disdain for one another. They are both trying to prove they have what it takes to perform their jobs. As tension builds between them, both due to the job and their attraction, an unlikely rescue becomes the tipping point for both of them.

London is ready to take on whatever is thrown at her in training. While some are supportive of her joining the fire department, others are determined to push her out. She never backs down, just keeps pushing forward and coming out on top. The senior firefighter assigned to help her train is vying for the captain promotion. He isn’t going easy on her in any way. She welcomes the challenges, as each one she passes she is not only proving to others she belongs there, she is proving it to herself. If only her trainer didn’t make her heart rush, her palms sweat, and her brain daydream about hot situations.

Miles wants the promotion of captain badly. His new rookie may make that difficult. He wants to show he is fair and able to keep his feelings out of the workplace, but that keeps getting more and more difficult. He ends up finding a puppy in a fire rescue that Landon knows from her last job. When she decides to help care for the puppy, because she doesn’t trust him, their proximity to each other begins to test their ability to not give in to their attraction. Depending on how you look at it, they both fail and succeed spectacularly!

This book was hot, hot, hot. I couldn’t get enough of Miles and London. Alexandra wrote both of them to have a presence that is impossible to ignore when they are on the pages. Their relationship goes from avoidance to flirtatious to let’s keep this a secret. And I was onboard for every bit of it. Alexandra once again pulls her readers in with characters that are dynamic and deep, but so easy to get to know and want to know. These characters will be ones that I come back to again and again.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

What to Expect:

🔥Firefighter FMC
🚒Workplace Romance
🔥Age Gap Romance

Miles and London’s story is an angsty workplace romance. Miles is London’s lieutenant at the firehouse and she is a rookie firefighter. Fraternization between them is forbidden, but both are struggling to control their intense attraction to each other. Miles is in competition with another for the position of captain after his chief retires, and his actions are being closely monitored. He shows London no favouritism and in fact rides her pretty hard during the numerous drills and skills tests. She holds her own and proves her grit and determination, even as she has to deal with the other lieutenant who is a creeper.

A puppy Miles rescued from a fire serves to bring them together outside of work. The pup used to be at the rescue where London worked before she came to the firehouse, and she is quite attached to it. She doesn’t trust the grumpy and stern Lieutenant to take good care of the pup. Controlling themselves outside of the firehouse is more difficult, and they indulge in some steamy encounters. Both are aware of what could happen if anyone discovers their secret. Their feelings go beyond attraction, which is new to both of them, and something they don’t want to give up. Unfortunately, secrets don’t stay secrets and the life of a firefighter is fraught with danger and emotional turmoil. Being together proves more of challenge than they could have imagined.

These wonderful and multilayered characters drew me into their story right from the first page. Both are determined to move forward in their careers, but never saw love coming. Their chemistry is hotter than the flames they battle and their connection goes soul deep. I love how London refuses to give up on her dream of being a firefighter despite the misogyny she faces (not from Miles). I also love how Miles falls for the pup he never wanted. Miles hides his marshmallow heart very well, but lucky London gets to see it. This book is both entertaining emotional. While it features a sizzling romance, readers also gain insight into the stressful and dangerous lives of firefighters while. It is a riveting book and has my wholehearted recommendation.

OMG! That’s all I can muster up right now. Alexandra Banks has again rendered me speechless, which is a problem when you are trying to write a review. So, I will apologies in advance if this doesn’t make much sense. I have so many thoughts running around in my head and I don’t know if I will get them all down right now.

I have been a fan of Alexandra Banks since Tough Love and have read every book. I thought Saving Grace and Cowboy Up were my favs, but I think Burning Love has absolutely smashed them out the park. I love me a Cowboy, but Firies have always been my weakness, so I was super excited to read this book.

My partner is a former firie and has told me many stories about some of the calls he went out to, but nothing could prepare me for Burning Love. You are thrown straight into the action from the first chapter.

Burning Love is the second book in the Love in the City series which follows Miles, a lieutenant and acting Captain and London a rookie in training. Their relationship starts off with a little bit of animosity. It was fun to see them clash while out on calls and during training/drills. But despite the animosity they both develop strong, deep feelings for each other. Their chemistry is everything.

The call out scenes are so well written, it was like I was there. Some of the call outs were so heartbreaking and gut wrenching. I highly recommend having the tissues close by.
I have more appreciation for all the first responders out in the world and what they deal with.

If you are a fan of the firefighter TV shows like Station 19 or Chicago Fire, then you will absolutely love this book.

All KU and e-book royalties for this series are donated to charities all over the world. For Burning Love, they are going to the fire fighters and their families

A massive thank you to Alexandra for the opportunity to read the ARC.

P.S. Alexandra, if you are reading this, can we pretty please get a series based on Firefighters?

Alexandra! First off, thank you so much for allowing me to ARC read this—in return, here is my honest review.

Secondly… Miles? Frickin HOT as sin. I absolutely loved him. From the moment he stepped onto the page, he had that undeniable presence—confident, intense, and completely swoon-worthy. He’s the kind of MMC that just pulls you in and refuses to let go. But what made me love him even more was the depth behind all that heat. There’s so much more to him than just the surface, and watching those layers unfold made his character even better.

And London? She was the perfect FMC. Strong, determined, and navigating a world that constantly challenges her, she proves again and again that she belongs exactly where she is. I loved her resilience and the way she refuses to back down. She’s not just trying to prove something to others—she’s proving it to herself, and that journey was so empowering to watch.

The dynamic between Miles and London was everything. The chemistry? Chef’s kiss. The tension, the heat, the emotional pull between them—it was all perfectly balanced. Every scene they shared had that spark that keeps you glued to the page, and the way their relationship developed felt both intense and meaningful.

This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It’s one of those stories that just doesn’t let up, you’re constantly pulled deeper into the emotions, the stakes, and the connection between the characters. Alexandra Banks has such a talent for writing stories that hit you right in the heart and don’t let go.

The emotions, the passion, the love, the chemistry—everything about this book just worked. It’s powerful, it’s engaging, and it’s absolutely worth the read.

This is definitely one of those books that stays with you long after you finish it—and I love that about Alexandra’s writing.

London & Milo

I really enjoyed this book. It was refreshing and gave me all the vibes of a firefighter tv show. it literally played out in my head like each chapter was an episode of a season.

London is pure fire. She’s sassy, determined, loyal and had the biggest heart. She’s also not afraid to put someone who is older in their place. I loved her grit.

Milo/Miles - I swear the man goes by many names but I will always prefer ‘Cap’. He’s a big softy with a control freak streak but it’s only because he wants everyone safe.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between these two. The tension, understanding and just them together is everything. I also loved how no matter what they would have met. Whether she stayed at the shelter or became a firefighter. They were destined.

I thought the scenes where they were actively being firefighters were well researched and executed perfectly. You can feel the danger the characters are putting themselves in with which fire they battle. I feel like that is so important when having a book like this. It wasn’t glossed over. It was the main character.

There were so many moments that I loved and a few that broke my heart. But that’s what a book is supposed to give you when done right.

This is my first female firefighter book that’s I’ve read and I definitely hope it’s not my last. We need more books like this.

Massive thank you to Alexandra for the ARC. This is definitely a book I will come back to for a reread. Definitely a must read.

The only thing I wish it had was more about London’s past and I think some things were not quite wrapped up. Some things were left opened and I don’t know if that’s because it will be apart of the next book in this series or not.

I totally think Schmidt should be arrested and totally held more accountable for his ridiculousness.

Alexandra Banks’ Burning Love is one of those stories that pulls you in fast and refuses to let go. It’s emotional, intense, and honestly just really fun to read. The writing has this easy, flowing style that makes it feel natural to get lost in the characters’ world, and the chemistry between the leads is exactly the kind that keeps you turning pages way too late at night.

Miles is such a standout character. He comes across as confident and a little guarded at first, but the more you get to know him, the more layers you see. There’s a vulnerability underneath all that strength that makes him feel real, not just like a typical romantic lead. His interactions are charged with tension, and the way he slowly opens up adds so much depth to the story. It’s hard not to root for him, even when he’s being frustrating.

London is just as compelling, if not more. She has this mix of independence and emotional honesty that makes her easy to connect with. She doesn’t just exist as a counterpart to Miles she has her own voice, her own struggles, and her own growth throughout the book. Watching her navigate her feelings while staying true to herself is one of the most satisfying parts of the story. Her dynamic with Miles feels genuine, with plenty of sparks but also moments of real tenderness.

What really makes Burning Love shine is how Banks balances the romance with emotional depth. It’s not just about attraction it’s about trust, timing, and the risks that come with opening your heart. The ups and downs between Miles and London feel meaningful rather than forced, which makes the payoff that much better. If you’re into passionate, character-driven romance with strong chemistry and a lot of heart, this one is definitely worth picking up.

Burning Love is book two in the Love series and is the story of Miles and London. This is a loathe to love, age gap, forced proximity romance. There are some dark themes addressed in this book so please check your content warnings prior to reading.

She has survived childhood trauma in New Zealand and built a life for herself in New York city with her mother, volunteering at a local shelter and training to become a NYFD firefighter. London has something to prove as one the newest probationary firefighters on Engine 53. Miles has spent the last ten years working towards being promoted to Captain, he focuses on keeping his crew safe and his crumbling fire station running smoothly. That is until his newest probie walks in and turns his world upside down. Trapped between his duty and what is right and his attraction to London, Miles tries to keep his distance.

This was such a wonderful story of friendship, comradery, love and loss. Coming from a background in the fire service, it was fantastic to have an author write a book that is factual and captures the comradery of the fire house. The aspects of loss and conflict were so well written and addressed what firefighters go through throughout the world. While there were some heavy moments, there was also a wonderful love story, friendships and personal and emotional growth throughout the book. The chemistry between Miles and London was apparent from the beginning and the slow burn built into a connection and love that we all wish for.

If you are looking for a book that keeps you on your toes with the story that has moments of loss, redemption, devotion and heart, this is the book for you. I received an advanced copy of this book and am leaving an honest review as a show of my appreciation.

Okay, at the risk of sounding punny, this book was smoking hawt! I was w@rned there would be emotional d@m@ge, but I still was not prepared! Be sure to grab a few tissues....

I have so much respect for first responders. They are some of the bravest people out there and I loved how realistically and sensitively they were portrayed in this book. And the fact that proceeds go to a good cause? Yes, yes, yes.

I loved how strong London was. We got a hint at what occurred in her past, but I would have liked to have had a bit more. But then again, maybe I would not have been able to handle it. So there is that. London has worked hard to get through training to secure a spot on Engine 53 as a probie. She wasn't expecting to know her new trainer Miles to be the same guy who tried to return a dog to the shelter she volunteers at (long story, and I wasn't mad at him about the circumstances).

Miles is so instantly attracted to London, but a relationship with her would be a bad idea...plus it is against the rules. So he does his best to try to keep their interactions professional....Try is the operative word..

The characters made this story so very special (except for one who shall not be named....). I cried through part of the book, but look forward to more in this series.

I love reading Alexandra’s books, and also love that all the royalties from the KU and eBook sales for this book go to fire fighters and their families in times of need via charities in Australia, Canada, UK and USA.

Now for my review…

One of the things I love about Alexandra’s books, regardless as to what the theme is, is how accurately descriptive she is, and Burning Love is no different. The references and descriptions she uses in relation to Fire Fighting seem to be (in my humble opinion and as someone who is not a fire fighter) bang on. I really loved the premise of this book, and it sucked me in quickly.

London is the ‘probie’ and the FMC, who escaped an abusive family situation in New Zealand and moved to the US with her mother.
Miles is the older Lieutenant for the crew that London has been placed with. The chemistry is instant, the banter electric and there is certainly a slow burn. There is trauma along the way for different reasons, but again very plausible, and I would have liked a little more depth to the backstory of both London and Miles, but it certainly didn’t deter from the book.

The relationships/ friendships/ camaraderie at the Station felt believable and really added to the story, and what a story.

I am looking forward to reading book 3 in this series when it is released.

This review is my own personal opinion, and I want to say a massive thank you to Alexandra for sending me this ARC.

I absolutely loved this but honestly, I’ll read anything Alexandra writes at this point because she is just that good. You can always rely on her to write something good!

If you love firefighter shows like I do, this one totally hits. The firehouse dynamics felt so real, from the camaraderie, the chaos, the found family vibe… it’s all there and done really well. And if you’re not familiar with that world, consider this your baptism by fire (I had to 😌).

The enemies to lovers tension was SO good. The banter was spot on, the chemistry was there from the start, and I was fully invested in their captain/probie dynamic. London is such a girl boss and she reminded me of Marjan from 9-1-1: Lonestar! I loved her drive, her stubbornness, and how hard she fights to prove herself. Miles was literally the BEST. He’s way sweeter than you expect and more than meets the eye, in more ways than one.

I also really loved the whole crew because it felt like a little family, which is exactly what I want from a firehouse romance.

As others have said, there are definitely some heavier, more emotional themes, so just keep that in mind going in.

I loved that this was spicy, emotional, and so easy to get lost in! I had such a good time with this book and am looking forward to the next one!

Thank you to Alexandra Banks for the eARC of this book.

🧡❤️‍🔥🧡 Burning Love (book 2) of the ‘Love in the City’ series by Alexander Banks is exactly what the title promises—hot, consuming, and impossible to put down. And I mean impossible. This romance burns bright from the very first page, delivering sizzling chemistry, emotional tension, and characters whose connection feels as explosive as an open flame.

Burning Love is the perfect balance of passion with vulnerability, giving more than just spice; beneath all the heat is a story about desire, trust, and the messy chaos of falling hard for someone you probably shouldn’t. The pacing keeps things moving fast, making it an easy binge-read for romance lovers who like their stories intense, dramatic, and packed with sparks.

A steamy, addictive read that proves sometimes the best love stories are the ones most likely to leave a little scorch mark behind. 🔥📖

As with every book Alexandra writes, you might as well have the Kleenex within arm’s reach before you even turn the first page. Her storytelling doesn’t just pull you in, it wraps around your heart and squeezes. You don’t just read about the characters, you feel them, deeply and achingly, and Burning Love is no exception. My heart 🥹

Miles and London are thrown into a firestorm of impossible choices and overwhelming emotions. He’s her superior in the firefighting world, someone who knows better than to cross that line, but what burns between them refuses to be contained. Their connection is intense, magnetic, and impossible to ignore. Miles is used to being steady, controlled, the one everyone relies on, but London unravels him in the most beautiful way, stirring something fierce, protective, and all consuming.

And honestly? I lost count of how many times I completely broke down. The emotion hits hard and doesn’t let go. Alexandra pulls back the curtain on the raw, unforgiving reality of life inside a firehouse, the bonds, the pressure, the absolute heartbreak and she does it with such honesty it almost hurts to read. It’s devastating, vulnerable, and breathtaking all at once… and even through the emotional wreckage, I couldn’t get enough. I loved it!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4.25 stars for me.

London Tennison,a newbie who had to prove herself, and Miles who wants to be a captain at his fire station. She's younger and both should know that mixing work with pleasure can just burn them both.
What they choose, keep things professional or figh for something unique?

My first book by this author and it will not be the last.I didn't read much firefighter books, they were never really on my list, but now I see what I'm missing.Author did a great job and pulled me in the world that is dangerous, painful, risky but it can be also emotional and rewarding.I liked London, young yet stubborn and determined to prove herself and falling for Miles.Miles on the other hand knows the risks and did try to stay away from her,it was cute to see him fighting his attraction. When they finally get together,it was a fire that could not be put down.I only wish that there was a little bit more information about their pasts, and epilogue felt short for me.That being said it was a romance that keep me totally absorbed with the story, and I was rooting for all of characters.Without a doubt I will check author other books.
Please read warning first, there are some triggers.

Oh. my. God…
I devoured this in less than 12 hours 😂 It was literally glued to my face.
I’m a huge Alexandra Banks fan I especially love her cowboys…
BUT let me just say this, firemen?!
Yeah… this might be a new obsession because this was phenomenal!
From the very first page, I was hooked. We’re thrown straight into the action, rescues, chaos, even a dog (instant win ). I genuinely felt like I was in that building, on the scene, the entire time.
If you love Station 19… this book is 1000000% for you.
We’ve got:

* Forbidden romance
* High-stakes drama
* Non-stop action (yes… that kind too )
* And my absolute favourite… found family

Alexandra always nails that family dynamic, and this crew? I wanted to be right there at the station, sitting down to dinner with them. The banter, the loyalty, the love it all felt so real.
BUT don’t get too comfortable… because this book HURTS too, You will need tissues. I cried, teared up, and loved every second of it.
And getting a glimpse of Lawson and Carlie again?! Was a bonus I personally loved. (Although you don’t have to have read their story to start here)
I have so much more to say, but I’m keeping it spoiler-free because this book deserves that it’s just too good.

Hundred percent recommend!!

ARC Review

Wow. Just… wow.

I have never felt so many emotions packed into one book before — my heart was shattered, then slowly healed, and somehow left completely full all at once.

Miles and London are both incredibly strong, driven characters, and watching them collide, challenge each other, and slowly unravel into something deeper was absolutely addictive. The tension between them is intense, but what really stood out was the emotional depth underneath it all.

One of my favourite parts of this story was the insight into the firefighting crew — a mixed-gender team built on loyalty, trust, and that powerful found-family bond. It added so much heart to the high-stakes world they live and work in.

This book had me gasping, crying, and cheering all in the same breath. I devoured it, and it completely wrecked me in the best possible way.

And knowing that reading this series also helps raise funds for firefighters around the world makes it even more meaningful.

Alexandra Banks has done it again — what an absolutely incredible story.

Wow what an emotional roller coaster this book was!

Miles has been a firefighter for many years and takes his job very seriously, hoping to get promotion to Captain. Unfortunately he finds out that another person Schmitty, is moving to the station and they will share the time to determine who will be awarded the role. However his competition is lazy, makes bad calls and is not putting his team first in any situation, but seems to convince the powers that be, nothing is ever his fault.

London is a Probie and has dreamed of being a firefighter for a long time. Straight away Schmitty is making misogynistic comments and touching her without consent. She does however feel a pull towards Miles, but relationships are not allowed between crew members.

This story follows many incidents of narrow misses, breakdown in relationships, both romantic and professional, and a very emotional accident that could've been avoided and the impact this has on everyone. It certainly brings a tear to your eye and was written so well, you really felt it.

I’d read anything Alexandra banks writes! She hooks you into the book so fast where you do not want to put the book down! She is definitely one of my favourite writers

This is definitely the book for you if you love firefighters or firefighter shows, the enemies to lovers was super good, especially the banter. Miles is bossy and protective but he’s definitely met his match with one of the 2 new probies at his firehouse when he meets London. It’s a slow burn but it’s so worth it, London was such an awesome FMC she’s strong and independent and fights for her place. They both have some stuff to work through. I’d definitely check trigger warnings for some heavy spots.

I'm a big fan of rivals to lovers trope books and this one does not disappoint. This book features two firefighters forced to work together and when the passion ignites, nobody can put the flames out. I love the tension between Miles and London and surprisingly for me, I really enjoyed the fire station setting. I didn't think this setting would appeal to me but I love how they act like a little family all together and have each other's backs. I think the fact that these characters are constantly in danger really adds tension to this book that keeps it interesting throughout. London is strong, resilient and inspiring and I think she makes a great main character. I liked Miles character as well and boy is he hot as sin.

I am a huge fan of Alexandra's books and can't wait to read more from this author.

Mercy! You better have your tissues ready for this one. I felt every feeling possible while reading this. I laughed, I cried, I screamed.
I loved Miles and London.
Alexandra has written so many wonderful books! This is another example of how fantastic her books are!
I don't want to give the details away so just go read it please!!

Alexandra included this is the beginning of the book as a PSA:
"This series is my way of paying it forward. All eBook and Kindle Unlimited profits from this series go to charities that help fire fighters and their families around the world. The information for this is at the back of the book!"
So not only are you getting a fantastic book to read, but you are also helping contribute to fire fighters and their families!

Thank you so much for this ARC!
This was such a deliciously romantic and hot read — the kind that will have you sweating more than once while reading 🔥😮‍💨

Miles and London’s story pulled me in right from the beginning. She is fierce, stands up for herself, and goes after her goals — which I absolutely loved!

I felt everything while reading. I was emotional, heartbroken at times, and also found myself laughing in several moments.

It’s a forbidden romance that’s easy to read and effortlessly engaging — exactly the kind of story that warms your heart by the end!

If you love intense chemistry, emotional moments, and scenes that will definitely make you feel hot, Burning Love is a must-read!❤️

As a wife of a first responder.. Thank you!
You had me in tears and on edge. My husband used to volunteer at our local dept when we met and now is in law enforcement. You did these men and women proud. 💜

Now holy balls!!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Miles and London are literally 🔥!!!!
The banter. The connection. The dog!!!! 😂😂😂

I love how vulnerable Miles was when he realized his feelings and how he loved London the way she needed it. He was so in tune with her mind, body (was he ever), and soul.

I would have loved to hear more on London and her mom, but you made me cry enough. It would have been cool to see them get involved with Carlie.

This book had it all.
Tension. Love. Bravery. I mean the list goes on.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I genuinely don’t know whether to cry happy or sad tears after this one.

Miles and London’s journey is so beautiful but also completely heartbreaking. The tension between them had me hooked from page one. They are two people who absolutely shouldn’t be falling in love, but can’t seem to stay away from each other.

Miles is the captain and London is the new probie, everything about their relationship is off-limits. Miles is already under pressure trying to protect his crew, while being forced to share leadership with another captain who doesn’t care about anyone’s safety and is very inappropriate.

I love watching Station 19 and this book felt really similar to me fire, danger, loyalty and love all mixed together.

Now where is Tangled Love. I need to read more.

Burning Love By Alexandra Banks

ARC Review

Couldn't wait for this love in the city book, and it did not disappoint.

Miles and London meet as she's a probationary Firefighter and hes the boss hoping to be Captain.

Miles trys very hard not to be attracted to London as hes in a position of power ,not sure that works for them! The chemistry been the 2 of them was off the charts 🔥

Great story , with some characters i loved by some or one in particular I hated - this book is a roller coaster of emotions but also I couldn't put this book down .

The firefighting scenes felt so real and with Alexs writing I really feel like I'm there in the middle of the story, some laugh out loud moments but also sad too.

5 star read would recommend, for me @Alexandra Banks is a must read 📚 👌

Read this book!

This book will have you feeling all emotions. I laughed and cried. Please have issues close by. & utterly loved this book. I love Alexandra Banks books!
I loved reading about Miles and London story.
He's her Captain. She's the new brave rookie
Relationships are forbidden, although they can't seem to stop thinking about one another. And it doesn't help that they work together.
Not to mention, he just became a new dog daddy and doesn't know a thing about taking care of the dog in which she does. It was a beautiful story, and you learn about firefighters' work life. This book is also donating the proceeds to firefighters and their families in time of need. So go grab this book. You won't be disappointed and helping a great cause.
