Wedding bells are finally ringing in Muddy Creek—but the week before Ivy Clark’s big day comes with more than vows and cake.
After postponements, family drama, and more than one cake crisis, Ivy and Sheriff Jett Malone are finally saying “I do.” But as Ivy balances nosy townsfolk, a surprise wedding shower, and Boyd’s unhelpful “mayoral advice,” the celebrations take a darker turn.
A body, a smuggling ring, and suspicious secrets threaten to ruin Ivy’s happily-ever-after before it even begins. From Zumba mishaps to small-town scandals, Ivy must juggle her soon to be marriage with her knack for stumbling into mysteries.
Can she and Jett enjoy their honeymoon—or will Ivy’s talent for uncovering trouble follow her down the aisle?
This book was way better than the last. I am glad I didn't stop reading. I really enjoyed the writing it kept me on my toes. I laughed so hard at one point it was so funny and if a book can do that it's a good one. can't wait for the next one.
This episode of Ivy Clark's adventures is a sweet slice of murder and mayhem. Most of the mayhem is courtesy of Mayor Boyd, but there is plenty of mystery, suspicious behavior, and geocaching to go around. I'm looking forward to where their lives go from here.
That book was so much fun as Ivy’s typically are. This had me guessing until the very end. Who’s the killer? What’s up with Hayes and is he a bad guy? What will happen with Tania? Will she end up scamming Ivy? And Ledford? We know he’s a good guy, but his newest love interest?
Then we’ve got a wedding to prepare for. Yes, Ivy and Jett are getting married! And there’s the rest of the diner crew that we love - Jose, Carrie, Livy, and Anton. And who could forget Boyd? No one, that’s who! He’s the most fun!
I enjoy this series so much. I can’t wait for Dixon’s next Ivy Clark book to come out in February 2026. But until then I think I’ll read a book by Lily Harper Hart “Hex Education.”
Murder, kidnapping, and a wedding! Who could ask for anything more? This book has all of that and more twists, turns, and surprises than an amusement park! But love, friends, and family always win in the end. Another enjoyable book. And now... on to the next book in the series!
