Thank you to Anne from Random Things Tours for having me on the Hello Transcriber Blog Tour.

Hazel Greenlee is an aspiring novelist struggling to find her way, until she lands herself a job as a Police Department Transcriber. Thinking this might be a way to inspire and write a story she loses herself in the transcripts and reports of the seedy dark town of Black Harbor. She looks forward hearing the voice of detective Nikolai Kole who is on the trail of the Candy Man, a notorious drug dealer who has been linked to two gruesome murders.

As the investigation unfolds Hazel will discover just how far she is willing to go for the story, even if it means jeopardising her marriage, her career and even her life.

This was a good read, just the right amount of dark and creepy with enough of the crime investigation element to keep you guessing.

I think what intrigued me was the whole transcriber element and reading about the crimes reported. An interesting take.

Overall, it was a good read and one I’d recommend for all the crime thriller lovers out there.
