The Carved Men by E.D. Crowe is the fascinating police procedural following Amelie Grant, a Detective Inspector. She’s put on a case involving gruesome scenes in a local Abbey. There are precious few clues, and she receives lots of flack from some of her coworkers. But, she is determined to find the culprit!!!

This story was riveting!!! I couldn’t stop reading for a second!! The shocks kept coming…involving unexpected persons…and the inherent danger is real!!! Loved her methodical processes, whip-smart mind, and the help she receives from an unexpected source. Leads right into the next book of the series!!! Can’t wait!!!! Great read!!!

The Carved Men by E D Crowe

The Carved Men by ED Crowe is the first in the DI Amelie Grant police crime series and it was an interesting read.
The character of Amelie is well drawn out and she makes for a convincing police officer, as well as her off duty interests.
The storyline was an interesting twist on murder victims being defaced on death. The other police officers also involved were also well written, especially Henderson and McCluskey her superior officers.
I would read other books in this series.
Highly recommended

Wow this was addicting and sucks you right in, this is truly a mystery that Detective Amelie Grant needs to solve with the gruesome clues, no leads and like a puzzle she thrives on solving.

She is a very strong FMC and nothing is getting in her way. The writing is spot on and leads you through the process of a woman detective in a,world of men. Go read this it is so worth your time.

How can you not love a woman who is upfront about loving wine and bad decisions? DI Amelie Grant is a woman who seems to thrive on puzzles and hard work. I am so curious who the mysterious stalker is and what the next steps are with Granger.

I read and reviewed a copy of this book.
