Cass began her writing life in Regency England, enlisted Jane Austen’s help to time-travel between then and the present day and is now happily ensconced in 21st century Cornwall.

Well, in her imagination and soul; her heart and physical presence reside in northern England with her ever-patient husband and Tig and Tag, their cute but exceptionally demanding moggies.

A bit of a nomad, Cass has called three countries home, as well as six different English counties, but her aspiration is to one day reunite with her beloved West Country.

In the meantime, she writes feel-good contemporary romances set in Cornwall and, in doing so, manages to live there vicariously through her characters and settings.

An Ambassador for the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation, Cass is also a member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association, the Jane Austen Society UK and the Society of Authors.

Firstly I am just so happy to be back at Polkerran Point. This has truly been one of my favourite series and I love that you can easily read them all as standalone books and still feel the magic but also if you’ve read the previous books you get to see glimpses of those characters you’ve grown to love too!

This particular book focuses on Ellie and Will and I really loved this story! It’s perfect for this time of year - a real cosy, heartwarming romance that unfolds in real time with flashbacks to the past which are great at adding extra depth to the story.

I feel like this may be the last book in this series and this makes me so sad as I e truly fallen in love with the characters, the place and Cass and her brilliant writing! This just felt like the perfect ending and another fabulously written book!

“...this place has a way of encircling your heart, cocooning you in its warm embrace so that you never want to let go. Of it, or the way it makes you feel.”

Falling for Polkerran Point was published in October 2025, and I’ve been putting off reading it. Why? Because it’s the final book in the series. I wasn’t (and I’m still not) ready to say goodbye to Cleggie and old Mrs Lovelace. I adore Mrs Lovelace’s mispronunciations—they’re hilarious, and I always enjoy the chuckles she brings as the story goes on.

This book follows Ellie and Will in a second-chance romance, full of friendship, community spirit, and oodles of love. The lovely Anna is still there too, making everyone feel welcome around her kitchen table every single morning with coffee and homemade cakes—far too sociable for me, though maybe I could manage it occasionally!

I’ve loved all the books in this series, and it’s definitely one I’d read again—high praise indeed. Please, Cass, I hope you have another equally unforgettable series waiting in the wings, because I’ll be right here ready to read it!

I have really enjoyed this series of books, I do hope there will be more . It's lovely to have regular characters and find out how their lives evolve. One of my most favourite characters is Mrs Lovelace who, would have put Mrs Malaprop to shame. Some of the things she says are laugh out loud funny. I thought that Cass Grafton was very clever for she didn't overdo these and it made it even more funny. The narrator is absolutely excellent as the Cornish accent is spot on as are all the other regional accents.
I am not going to give the scenario of the story as there are so many stories within the five books, but I just want to advise that the reader please read the books in order. I highly recommend this series of books. Thank you Cass Grafton

I loved it
You can read it stand alone however if you’ve read the ones before the book has so much more depth! Layers of stories, history and friendships! So if possible read them all!

The location is described beautifully as Cornwall obviously is! The stories are perfect and show how a small village actually works!

The deceit, the romance, the connection of lives!

Ellie is a great main character although she’s a little bit obsessed with her past - the spark is undeniable!

From the cover to the end the book is a perfect love story and full of happiness. Cass’ books really are the perfect chill out read

I’ve not read any of the other books in this series so knew nothing about Polkerran Point but anything set in Cornwall is always good in my eyes so I was excited to get my hands on this and give it a go. Not having read the others makes no difference. It’s a perfect read even as a stand alone and there was nothing in it that made me feel like I’d missed something or a part of the story or character.

The story follows Ellie who is returning to Polkerran to help out her cousin whose husband is about to have surgery. Returning to the place she spent a beautiful summer wasn’t what she had planned but she needs to help her cousin out. Polkerran is the home to a lot of memories, some good, some bad but she doesn’t believe that her past love Will is going to be there so it can’t be that bad. Once she arrives she realises Will is there and a lot of her old feelings(good and bad) start to resurface. We find out bit by bit the past story between Ellie and Will as the story unfolds and I really liked these snippets of Ellie’s past life. As Ellie tries to negotiate life in the cove, whilst keeping her head above water and avoiding Will at all costs and at the same time trying not to let her past feelings take over, she is desperate to leave as soon as possible.

This is a good, cosy, easy read, lovers to enemies and back! It wholesome and beautifully written and is set around the village of Polkerran.(Fictional but so easy to imagine). You get to meet a lot of the locals and their personalities really come through in the writing. You can imagine being in that small village, knowing everyone and everyone knowing you! I loved the setting, the characters, the relationships between them and the little twists and turns in the story. I really enjoyed the storyline and I’ll definitely be reading the others in the series.

Delightful. Another charming story set in Polkerran Point. This time it’s Nicki’s cousin Ellie who has never got over her split from Will Farmer whom she met there 12 years earlier. She has come to help Nicki with the boys while husband Hamish has an operation on his back, but the two weeks needs to extend and of course Will is in town. After misunderstandings both past and present are cleared up, the two can reignite their love.
I hope there will be more books set here.

This is a tender, second-chance romance set against the breathtaking Cornish coast. The story opens with a nostalgic flashback to Ellie’s first visit to Polkerran Point twelve years earlier, when she met and fell for Will. Now, returning to help her cousin, Ellie finds herself face-to-face with the man she’s never truly forgotten.

Grafton writes with warmth and emotional honesty, capturing the ache of unresolved love and the frustration of misunderstandings left to fester. Ellie and Will’s interactions are tense yet charged with longing, and their inability to communicate feels both real and heart-wrenching. Through a blend of memories and present-day moments, the author reveals how pride, pain, and assumptions can keep two people apart even when love remains.

The familiar setting, sprinkled with returning characters like Nicki, Hamish, Anna, and Oliver, adds a comforting sense of community and continuity. Heartfelt and gently uplifting, Falling for Polkerran Point is the literary equivalent of a warm embrace—a beautifully written story about forgiveness, rediscovery, and finding your way home again.
