With a roll of the dice, everything can change.

A one-night stand at Comic Con might’ve eased the sting of bad news for Milo Davies, but he wakes up alone, with only the woman’s hair clip as proof he didn’t dream it. When the person who beat him out for the retail space next door—and who’s been stealing his parking spot for weeks—turns out to be none other than the woman he’s been thinking about ever since that night, he’ll finally get the chance to find out if that chemistry can survive in the real world.

Though Eden Campbell regrets running away after one beautiful night of impulsivity, her dreams are finally within reach. Opening her size-inclusive lingerie shop flies in the face of her conservative upbringing, but she’s broken away from all that in order to forge a new life for herself. Or so she thought, until increasingly violent threats put all her dreams at risk, including a second chance with the man she never should have left behind.

To protect themselves and everything they’re building together, Eden and Milo will have to confront her painful history to search for the culprit.

But this dangerous game might put paradise out of reach.

Rachel Fitzjames is the author of a contemporary romantic suspense series set in the fictional town of Spruce Hill, NY. She started writing on her brother’s ancient computer back in the early 90s and never looked back, though her first short story about an underground cat thievery ring was sadly lost. With a degree in geography inspired by wanderlust, Rachel has a keen appreciation for the escape that the romance genre allows. She is a lifelong resident of Western NY and created Spruce Hill in order to give a little bit of home to all of her characters.

This one goes out to all the nerds and was a blast to edit. From the delightful Easter eggs, both nerd-related and seeing some of our favorite characters (Mark and Libby ♥️😍) and places (the Mermaid), to the 'Holy spice bombs, Batman!' scenes, you're in for a treat. So, roll initiative and slip into something that makes you feel sexy as Eden and Milo fall in love and take on BBEG.

I received an early copy of this book!

Let me start off by saying I am obsessed with the Spruce Hill series and I absolutely love Milo & Eden. Milo & Eden have a one-night stand at Comic Con and that one night together turns into so much more! Milo’s biggest rival ends up being the woman he never stopped thinking about. Eden is chasing her dream, and when dangerous threats from her past surface, their second chance at love might come at a deadly cost. Ahh definitely a 5 star read from me!!

4.5 rounded up

I once again wish that I could live in Spruce Hill, but to my never-ending regrets, it's still a fictional town. I think this is my favorite book in this series so far, with the nerdy shop owner, comic con starting this whole thing, and growing and finding yourself through a toxic childhood. It also helps that the wonderful main man is named Milo, and so all I can picture is Milo Thatch from Atlantis!

But really, I loved this story, and Milo and Eden are some of my new favorite characters. They are tough and stubborn, and full of love for their family, both found and standard edition. This story is full of great characters and Carter is absolutely one of the best! I can't wait to see what's in store for Spruce Hill, and here's hoping that Rose Hanson gets her own book soon! (I might be just a tad in love with her)

Milo and Eden are truly such an amazing couple! They become stronger as they face several obstacles throughout their short time together. Family unites them when they are at their weakest of moments. Many twists and turns yet so very heartfelt! Thank you Rachel for writing a spicy yet suspenseful novel! Can’t wait for the next one!!
