Hot mess in the church! I was baffled by Benita and Dennis's indiscretions but more appalled by their level of disregard. Dennis's careless mouth had me laughing. He wasn't a man of the cloth, but one of the streets. The end of the book was shocking and just.

I don’t know exactly what I was expecting with this read, but damn not this!!😮 Pastor or should I say Dennis, was the messiest of the messy okay!! 🙄 This man loved the attention, money, and power, that he received being a pastor; but disregarded all else. Mainly his wife and children. He never wanted Janine, but he didn’t have to treat her as badly as he did. 😤

Miss Benita walked into that church ready to bag pastor! She did all that she could to entice him, until he couldn’t resist. Then her conscience came into play, and she felt bad. Only for a minute or two, cause she was right back with the ish! 🤣

These two was just doin’ them like they were single and right as hell! No remorse, regret, nothing. But little did they know that Janine wasn’t as naïve as she appeared. That ending blew my mind, cause what First Lady??? 🤯 I really enjoyed this! 👍🏾👍🏾

Pearls Clutched & Crooked Sunday Best

Now look. I went into this blind and the best way to read this book is blind. I will say this. The way if I had my invisible pearls on the last few chapters would have me clutching them and screaming go girl at the same. Will for sure be reading again. I like the book makes you question if this is a trope you just hate or the best lick back redemption arch.

Lawddddd the way this book was messy and good I couldn’t put it down! That damn Pastor Harvey is something else!!! The church was messy and that plot twist was twisting. Baby Lavett is 2 for 2 in my books for messy fast reads and I love that for ME and her 😊

Let the church say…..this was top tier messyyyyy. Dennis and Benita thought they were doing a good job of hiding and going to live a happy life. Janine was playing the long game for sure to get what she wanted.

Let me tell you God don’t like ugly fits this story perfectly 😭. Pastor Harvey? Whew, he was something else and not in a good way. I devoured this in one sitting because the drama got messy fast. If you’re into a little toxic, spicy, and chaotic kind of love story, this one’s for you.

chileeeee messy is not the word to explain what goes on behind these pages. this is pure trifling activities from start to finish! i love how we each book we always have an unexpected plot with that snatches you by your edges and don’t turn you loose! lol. all i can say is read the book. you gone be on the ground lol. All I can say is messy, messy, MESSY! Pastor Harvey and Benita were something else! Even though what they were doing was wrong, I was rooting for them a little bit! And the ending? I was not ready! If you like short, spicy and messy reads, then this is the one for you! You will not be disappointed.
