Newly minted veterinarian, Dr. Laney Montgomery, loves a well-groomed man. Preferably with defined abs and thick biceps. Unfortunately, her “type” tends to be accompanied by logistical baggage that is in direct opposition to her carefully orchestrated life.
When her latest dreamy disaster implodes, Laney reluctantly lets her overbearing brothers whisk her away to Nowhere, Texas for a temporary vet gig. But her brothers have a not-so-secret playbook and assume they can rope Laney into coaching the town’s team in the statewide Holiday Baseball Classic. Laney’s never been a girl who likes to be told what to do though, so she does what any strong willed, independent woman would and signs on to coach the rival team.
Sparks fly when the aggravatingly charming Jake Thomas takes the field to coach the orphaned team. With his easy swagger, questionable fashion choices, and slow smile, Jake is everything Laney avoids. And can’t stop thinking about.
As holiday lights twinkle and baseballs fly, Laney and Jake find themselves caught in a game of attraction they can’t afford to play. Add in two meddling brothers, dancing little leaguers, and an avalanche of adorable puppies, Laney’s perfectly planned life is about to unravel—one chaotic inning at a time.
Baseball & Snowfall is Book 3 in the Three Waves family saga trilogy, however, all books can be read independently.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"Baseball & Snowfall" is a delightful romp through the heart of Nowhere, Texas, where love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos collide on and off the baseball field. As a fan of romantic comedies, I was immediately drawn to Dr. Laney Montgomery, a strong-willed veterinarian whose life takes an unexpected turn when her brothers decide to play matchmaker.
The chemistry between Laney and Jake Thomas is electric! Jake, with his charming swagger and endearing quirks, is the perfect foil to Laney's meticulously planned life. Their banter is witty and relatable, making it impossible not to root for them as they navigate their growing attraction amidst the backdrop of holiday festivities and baseball shenanigans. The author does a fantastic job of weaving in humor and heart, creating a story that feels both fresh and familiar.
What I loved most about this book is how it captures the essence of family dynamics. Laney's brothers are hilariously overbearing yet undeniably supportive, adding a layer of warmth to the narrative. The small-town setting is beautifully described, making me feel like I was right there in the stands, cheering on the teams and enjoying the holiday spirit.
The addition of adorable puppies and dancing little leaguers only enhances the charm of the story, making it a perfect read for anyone looking to escape into a world of romance and fun. Even though this is the third book in the Three Waves family saga, it stands alone beautifully, allowing new readers to dive right in without feeling lost.
If you're in the mood for a lighthearted, feel-good romance that will leave you smiling, "Baseball & Snowfall" is a home run! I can't wait to see what the author has in store next!
In the third and final book of the Three Waves Trilogy, Laney Montgomery just broke up with her boyfriend and left Canada to return home to her small Texas town. Her family is thrilled to have her back home, and her older brother, Max, is determined to wrangle her into accepting a coach position on a kids’ little league baseball team. Always the rebel, she signs up to coach the opposing team. Jake Thomas is stuck in Texas for the time being, though he hopes to move back to Memphis and raise his young son there. Spark fly when he meets Laney, the new town vet. Though they’re coaching rivaling little league teams, they can’t stay away from each other. But they both have different dreams. How will they make a relationship work? At first, I couldn’t connect with Laney. She’s definitely “too much,” as her ex-boyfriend put it, though I understood her better as the book went on. Jake was great from the start. He’s a struggling single dad with a cute kid that makes you want to melt. Their rivalry and camaraderie led to some great banter. I wish I understood the State Farm joke, but since I haven’t watched TV religiously in probably over a decade, I’ve missed those commercials. I’ve only read the first book in this series, and while that one was a huge tearjerker, this one was more fun and uplifting with emotional moments, which is perfect for the holiday season. All these books can be read as standalones, so you won’t be lost if you only read this one. Readers who enjoy snarky heroines, swoon-worthy heroes, and sports at Christmas, be sure to pick up a copy of Baseball & Snowfall. 5 Stars
Baseball & Snowfall kept me laughing the entire time I was reading! Kathryn Beck perfectly captures 7U baseball players and parents, which brought me back to my son playing at that age. The story of Laney and Jake is one of a stubborn vet who does not want to be in Texas at Christmas and absolutely will not fall for Jake, regardless of how perfectly he fits her type.
Cue Laney's overprotective brothers, a litter of puppies and the dancing baseball players...all have a part in bringing Laney and Jake into a relationship, even though they both know she is leaving as soon as she can get out of Dodge. Sometimes, you need to step back and reevaluate your priorities, dreams and goals when you find something worth the effort.
If you want a heart-warming, laugh out loud read for the holidays, send this one to your Kindle as fast as you can! 10/10 Highly Recommend!
This story was unique and a blending of family for Laney, a new Veterinarian who got lovingly bullied into a small town in TX near these brothers to work for the next several months. Beside being an animal vet she loves baseball and easily talked into managing the town’s team by her brothers, Max and Sam. The coach is Jake, with a beautiful baseball player’s body. He finds Cade, his 7 year old son and they try working out their father son relationship since his mother passed on from a fatal car accident. The story has many touching moments and liked how the story ended. Enjoyed all the puppies and dogs, especially Hadlee, throughout the story as well.
I received a free, early copy and am giving my honest, free and voluntary review.
This book had me hooked from the start. When working in athletics I often see the side of the parents and it made me laugh throughout the book. Laney and Jakes relationship is a great holiday story and one that you won't want to put down. Cue overprotective siblings, stubborn people and laughs its a great mix.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I don´t know where to start commenting about this book, I just love matchmaking siblings and a woman knowing exactly what she wants (or so she thinks) but watching Laney fighting tooth and nails against falling for Jake really is the cherry on top, I was sad when the book came to an end.
Interfering family with good intentions, little league, hot single dad, the holidays, fierce attraction. You would think it sounds great and it could be if you can get past Laney.
The start is just a bit much and Laney is a bit much, there is just something about her that is off putting. I just could not connect with or like her. She might have improved a little as the story goes on and the rest of the characters are likeable but I just couldn’t get past her. But Jake is great and her family is funny.
I’m not saying don’t read it, you might like it cause the story itself is good.
